Peace and quiet equals “Solitude at my farm. I’m just like you. I want to camp at a quiet place in the country where it’s plenty of acres and no houses to look at and a clean bathroom and shower. Well it’s here. I’m Located in Wakefield Virginia. If you’re traveling to Virginia Beach I’m one hour away. From my farm there is a free ferry in Scotland where the ferry departs to Williamsburg just 30 minutes. At my farm I have 5 sites for tent/camping so it’s spaced appropriately apart I have 2 Rv sites totally away for their privacy and a new mini house also properly spaced away. All have a clean picnic table and a fire pit. 100 feet away you’ll find that clean bathroom, shower and a wash station for hygiene. You’ll see the love I put into this and because I love it and my prior guests love it, which means it may be right for you also. In the town of Wakefield you’ll find gas stations, dollar stores, a Value food market and if you want (to go) food we have that also. Plus it’s home to The Virginia Diner. Amenities include toilet access, a shower, trash disposal, picnic tables, and potable water. Pets are allowed, as are campfires.

Located in Victoria Virginia, the farm is an hour to Richmond, 45 minutes to Farmville, and 45 minutes from John Kerr reservoir (on the boarder of NC). We are pet friendly, and the property is completely fenced. Enjoy free unlicensed fishing on property in our small pond, stocked with catfish and bluegills, or let the pups swim away the summer heat. Enjoy a walk on the nearby Tobacco Trail, fish at one of the many nearby rivers and lakes. Roast marshmallows over a fire and stargaze or catch fireflies all night.
All sites have access to a portable compost toilet, and we can provide water for the sun showers. We have tent sites, and an RV site, 420friendly but we do not partake.

We took a short hike around the pond, which was perfect after a day of traveling.

Great location! Set-up was super easy and we loved being surrounded by all the animals and the vintage buses. The hosts were very welcoming without invading our personal space. Roof top tent camping here. Cheryll and Anthony are super accommodating and friendly. A lot of great camping experiences to be had here. Will be back again for sure!

Christopher was very responsive to every message, and he showed us around the property when we arrived. He even had his own farm fresh eggs and honey for sale. The campsite was on a well-mowed area, tucked into a corner by the forest. We really enjoyed walking on the path along the edge of the woods and through the pollinator meadow. I photographed at least eight butterfly species on the wildflowers, and saw a few more than that.

We had a great experience car camping on Michael’s property. He was super helpful and the site had great amenities. It was very clean, spacious, and private. We really enjoyed walking the attached trail and visiting with the friendly farm animals. Would definitely return in the future.

Would 100% recommend. Great people. Casey answered within minutes of me messaging her. Perfect for our quick stop over with electric and water hookup. 50 or 30amp. Has that welcoming feeling with great views, farm animals and cute goats that love attention. not to far off 95. Will definitely camp here again.

I had a fantastic time at Reckless Raven! I really enjoyed meeting the sheep, goats, and horses. Doug and Lacie were very generous hosts and I felt right at home there. The campsite itself was beautiful, next to fields and trees with just enough space from the other campsites. I'd absolutely stay here again next time I'm passing through Virginia.

A hidden gem just outside of Hampton Roads! We stayed at Site 1 - The Orchard. The property is beautiful. The site was lovely. They even left the lights on for us as we were coming in late. You can tell they really care about their property and the site. Both are meticulously maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed the sounds of nature, and the beautiful orchards. There is electric hook ups and water on site. The site is very well shaded. It’s a short walk down a small hill to the u-pick blueberry patch. We didn’t take the time to pick this go round but absolutely plan to come again and do so. The road to the site is gravel but grated well and clear. We had no issues getting to the site and backing in with our 17ft trailer. Michael stopped by, at the end of our stay, to wish us safe travels and say hi. We enjoyed meeting him. We’ll absolutely be adding this HipCamp to the rotation of spots not far from home!

This place is awesome! Casey and Chris (I think) were so welcoming and super communicative! They have hook ups and water on site and a very manicured piece of property that was so nice to wake up to views of the goats and ducks in the morning! Highly recommend this spot if you’re passing through!
