Our camp is the shared vision of Brian and Lee and son Michael. We fell in love with this beautiful property where we plan to build our eco-friendly, off-grid homestead and farm. Lee's favorite song and the inspiration behind our name is "Puff the Magic Dragon" by Peter, Paul and Mary. A land of whimsical imagination, beauty and maybe a dragon or three is our shared vision for the farm. The camping options are flexible, ranging from prepared campsites along both Little and Deep creeks with composting outhouses nearby, to "Camper's Choice" options where you may hike in or drive in and create your own camping experience. Please note that since the "Camper's Choice" options allow freedom to select hike-in or drive-in options, the exact distance to nearest outhouse may vary. There are 144 acres to explore so campers can set up a secluded getaway or cluster together in a group. We are flexible and can work with you to create a camping experience that suits your needs. Learn more about this land: Honah Lee Farms has over 140 acres of woods with open fields distributed throughout. We are bordered to the south by the Flat River, to the west by Deep Creek, and to the north by Little Creek. Most of our campsites are nestled in the trees along one of these bodies of water and all campers have access to the 10 foot waterfall area where Deep Creek runs into the Flat River.

Camping with our dogs!
This is the second time my husband and I have stayed here. We love it so much! This time we brought along both our dogs instead of just one. We never see any people except for Mike when we visit. We feel like we are all alone and it is so peaceful! This time we had even more fun than before. We both brought along our hiking boots and had fun hiking and climbing along all the rocks by the waterfall. This time we brought along our inflatable boat and I had a blast floating down the water. We caught a few fish and crawfish. This trip we purchased a much bigger tent since we would have both dogs. It was huge, but it still fit in the pad area designated for the tent. We also brought along our own camping toilet. Our Rottweiler had a blast like before. Our English Mastiff on the other hand apparently is a diva and doesn't like camping. She did like climbing up and down to the water. We are hoping to take her back again when it is cooler. We really love coming here and will be back again! We are hoping to visit once a month or every other month! That should tell you how much we enjoyed our stay! We also love that there are stores not to far in case we forget something.

This space is ALWAYS amazing! The perfect secluded spot while also being a short drive to the city for a day of exploring. We will continue to come back to this site anytime we are in NC!

We camped for 2 nights with our kids and had a great time. We fished near the waterfall and our toddler played in the sand until his little heart was content. The campsite is well-shaded which was great since it was pretty warm while we were there. Would definitely stay again.

We had a great time tent camping at Honah Lee Farms. The spot was private and located perfectly next to the water and a short walk to the waterfall. My son caught a fish on his first cast and the dog loved running off leash. Highly recommend and we will definitely return.

Camping with kids!
“I liked catching a fish. It was just like Dory it was a chomper fish”- my 4 year old when I asked her this question. Overall, experience was great. Campsite is very secluded and is surrounded on two sides by a nice creek. Great for children to play and explore. Easily fit two large tents. If you want to drive to the site itself you will need a 4x4 vehicle with decent clearance. Thank you Brian and Mike!
