Brian is a Star Host
Star Hosts are highly rated, responsive, and committed to providing incredible experiences.
Our camp is the shared vision of Brian and Lee, along with son Michael and grandson Blake. We fell in love with this beautiful property where we plan to build our eco-friendly, off-grid homestead and farm. Lee's favorite song and the inspiration behind our name is "Puff the Magic Dragon" by Peter, Paul and Mary. A land of whimsical imagination, beauty and maybe a dragon or three is our shared vision for the farm. The camping options are flexible, ranging from prepared campsites along both Little and Deep creeks with composting outhouses nearby, to "Camper's Choice" options where you may hike in or drive in and create your own camping experience. Please note that since the "Camper's Choice" options allow freedom to select hike-in or drive-in options, the exact distance to nearest outhouse may vary. There are 144 acres to explore so campers can set up a secluded getaway or cluster together in a group. We are flexible and can work with you to create a camping experience that suits your needs. Learn more about this land: Honah Lee Farms has over 140 acres of woods with open fields distributed throughout. We are bordered to the south by the Flat River, to the west by Deep Creek, and to the north by Little Creek. Most of our campsites are nestled in the trees along one of these bodies of water and all campers have access to the 10 foot waterfall area where Deep Creek runs into the Flat River.

What an incredible place!
This is the kind of place you consider not reviewing because it's that great and don't want to let the secret out but that is not the in the spirit of Hipcamp. First, I screwed up the reservation not noting the trailer but Brian was very understanding and was extremely accommodating getting us a site. Although it was just 40 min from our home it felt like we were in the foothills of Virginia with rolling open hills and wide open vistas. Really beautiful from the second we pulled into the property. The property is very diverse and expansive. From open fields to wooded forests with rivers and creeks meandering through them. Being we have a Jeep and off-road trailer, Brian suggested a camp spot tucked in the woods next to a creek. It was a tight maneuver down to the site but worth it very much. The site is called "Campers Choice #2" and it is super remote, quite, and beautiful with an outhouse a short hike up a hill. There is also a trail that goes along the scenic creek that was a great walk for us a dog. The roads/trails are clearly maintained but are rough in some areas. Getting out of our site was tricky and I had to use 4WD to get up the trail and out. We had no problem but I would think twice with 2WD and a trailer to Campers Choice #2. We didn't get the opportunity to see the other sites but we look very forward to returning for sure to this wonderful special place.

Happy Repeat Campers
Another great stay! We love that the sites are very secluded feeling even though there are several spots in the property. Hosts are super helpful but stay out of your hair once you're set. Outhouse was nice, clean, well stocked, and smelled about as well as an outhouse could smell. We enjoyed hiking around the property and just spending time around the creek and the camp site. We didn't do any fishing but there seemed to be lots of good spots with chairs stowed near the water for it. There are nice fields for stargazing at night. Fair warning, wild life is active in the area. Expect to hear coyotes at night or a beaver splashing in the creek (We named him Steve). This could be a plus for some, minus for others. This is quickly becoming our favorite spot for our annual camping trip. Overall, if you want a nice camping spot in the woods with some nice amenities like a picnic table and fire pit but away from crowds this place is perfect.

Wow. Just wow!
This was an amazing site! Super secluded. Abundant wildlife. The walk to the creek is well worth it. Would stay here again and again.

We love this place. It has the most privacy of anywhere I’ve been. It feels like a ten acre campsite. Always great to see Brian and his family.
