Situated within a welcoming neighborhood off Lizard Creek, our .5-acre site awaits nestled between a vacant lot and a residence (fenced sides). Please note, we are within a neighborhood! We extend a warm welcome to travel trailers, pop-ups, c-class, 5th wheels, toy haulers, and more. Please ensure your unit has its own bathroom facilities. Our site offers one full hook-up (50 amp power, water, sewage). Camping in a group?A second camper may be added in your party with 30 amp, and water - no sewage - on an unleveled site. You'll be able to add this as an "add on/extra" during your booking. Immerse yourself in the delights of Lake Gaston with access to the neighborhood boat ramp, clubhouse pool, mini beach, and waterfront swim dock all 1 mile away from club house. Guest passes for neighborhood amenities are available in the lockbox, and they ARE checked/required upon entry. Kindly observe pool rules, including opening and closing times (no glass bottles on the dock or pool area, no cursing, no pets etc.). Golf carts are permitted within the neighborhood, but please use at your own risk. Pool is closed during the winter. For the latest updates, follow us on Instagram @lakegastonwildwood!! We have a 30' wide driveway to pull onto the land, either back in from the road or turn around on the property! If you pull onto the property, then back in to the site be aware the ground is uneven due to remaining tree roots.

What we liked: The site was convenient to the lake, the store, and to several boat ramps. Was really fantastic to be able to use the neighborhood dock/boat slips and pool (thank you!). Mary was super responsive and accommodating. Loved having a fire pit and sewer hook-up. Location was quiet, and we were actually able to line up both RVs in a train to access the sewer connection and still be on the leveled gravel area of the site, which was a plus. What could be better: no potable water. I assumed using a filter would help, but even with in-line filter, water was discolored coming into camper. Suggestions: it was a bit difficult to find the entry at night, so a light there and another back near the hookups would be super helpful. The area around the gravel site was very muddy, and I had read on a former review there was plenty of room so believed I could turn around and ended up getting hung up in the mud. Was also conscious of not wanting to damage a septic field. Maybe providing a site map for check-in to help folks understand best way to back in and/or turnaround would help?

We loved it! So much space and plenty of room to turn our 27' camper around to back it in. The gravel pad made the camper nice and level and the fire pit was a great addition. Plenty to do nearby and I have a new favorite coffee shop! Food Lion and other conveniences are pretty close by (within 5-10 min). The lake is just down the street. We used our paddleboard and also swam at the beach. Once the grass grows in it will be even better! It was quiet and peaceful too with occasional golf carts and cars but no heavy traffic at all. My dogs were comfortable and there was plenty of shade. I would love to visit again!
