We have miles of hiking trails that link up to the Beaver Meadow trail network in the Vermont State Forest as well as Morristown Forest trails. Our camp has two full size beds and sleeps four people. The camp is not winterized: will protect you from wind and snow but not the cold!

Maple Rock Hollow Maple Rock Hollow is the perfect get away location, set on 30 acres at the base of Laraway Mountain in Belvidere, Vermont; conveniently located on a dirt road off of route 109. We have a dirt driveway and while the parking area terrain is mostly flat, it may be a little unsteady for folks with gait issues. Both our road and driveway may become quite muddy especially during “mud season”, generally in the spring. Nestled at the bottom of Laraway Mountain, Maple Rock Hollow provides a tranquil place to stay while providing easy access to a myriad of outdoor activities. Enjoy Vermont’s world-class skiing; Smuggler’s Notch (20 minutes), Jay Peak (30 minutes) and Stowe (40 minutes) are all nearby! The property is just a short ride to the Vermont Long Trail and the Lamoille County Rail trail. It is surrounded by opportunities for skiing, other winter activities, hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing, boating, fishing, numerous watering holes, zip lining, leaf peeping in season, exploring Vermont’s many covered bridges, access to nearby VAST and VASA trails, and more! Unwind from your day of adventure by enjoying the wooded setting by making smores at the fire pit under the starry sky and relax surrounded by nature, while sipping your drink of choice; perhaps a beer from one of the many local breweries Please be aware that given our rural location, our cell phone coverage is weak. Six miles west there is more reliable cell phone access. Future plans include reliable internet access. We strongly recommend you download a map of Vermont prior to your stay to ensure that you are able to find your way. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you would like additional information, recommendations, directions, etc. If you plan to use the fire pit during your stay, make sure to pick up some firewood when you stop for groceries at one of the area markets. Fairyhouse is cute and very sturdy. Enjoyed my stay. I would suggest insulating it. Wood burning stove worked great, put off decent heat. Has a composting toilet behind it. If you love dogs there are a couple on premises.

3 nights at Zen Cabin

This was my second stay at the Zen Cabin. I just love the peace that surrounds the whole property. The cabin is very comfortable and there's a nice propane stove to keep it warm. I can't say enough about how good the well water is. For me, this is the perfect place to disconnect with the chaos of the world and connect with nature. Beautiful!

Weekend Trip to Maple Rock Hollow

We stayed at the Maple Rock Hallow Cabin during fall leaf foliage. The host Kathy was great! The cabin was easy to find, cozy and had all of the amenities we were looking for. The cabin is about 45 minutes to Stowe, which is where we wanted to explore. We did not have great cell service in the area, but we expected that. The cabin had streaming services on the TV. It was a perfect stay and we 100% recommend!

I had a great stay at Ryegate. The cabin was warm and homey, a nice break from camping when the rain and cold arrived. Jessica was welcoming, communicative and responsive. She provided good information about the stay and was kind enough to let me use the shower in the farmhouse, which was much appreciated. The cabin really has all you need... shelter, a cozy bed, a microwave, fridge, and coffee station. Sitting on the front porch with coffee overlooking the river and the mountain tree line is a wonderful way to spend a peaceful morning! The cabin is decorated very cute, which is a nice bonus. Note: You need to be up for a bit of outdoor life ... like using an outhouse and washing dishes in a sink outside. It isn't primitive but it is glamping.

2 nights at The Fairy House

The camp site was well kept and did a great job keeping us warm on a crisp fall night thanks to the furnace. There is a private entrance to the site and it felt perfect for my dog to be able to roam around. Only complaint was the chickens calling at 5 AM inviting my dog to join in, but that's all part of being near a farm. The host was very responsive and a good communicator!

Weekend Trip to White Mountains Dear Bear Campsite

This was an amazing getaway. The cabin had everything you could need. Craig and his family were really hospitable. Always kept great communication. The cabin is insulated and kept us warm throughout the night. Craig gave us extra blankets and was kind enough to set up the hot water shower for us. The instructions to get there were pretty exact. The location is amazing. 15 minutes to Franconia Notch. Quick 5 minute drive to downtown Littleton. Lots of options to eat there and Bethelem. (Try the skirt steak at El Mirador Restaurant or the Thai Donuts at Taste the Thai). A power generator is available in the cabin for charging your stuff as well.

We had a great stay at the Zen Cabin. The cute little cabin was just as advertised. Mitchell welcomed us and made sure we were all set. The temperature was forecasted to dip in to the 30s and he made sure the heater was working so we would be comfortable. It was a nice sleep after a fun wedding down the road. My wife and I enjoyed a crisp morning overlooking the field while we drank our coffee and looked at the cows who came to say hi. We only had a short stay, but it was clear that Mitchell and the Zen Cabin are a great little find in Northern Vermont.
