My land is easily accessible by main road, has ample parking, and yet cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, wildlife, fireflies and peepers are just outside the door. In the summer season, several organic farmstands and local picturesque swimming holes range between 5-15 minutes away. Autumn's glorious show is on display everywhere you look. Winter offers easy access to groomed VAST trails in the field behind the house and studio. Hopkins Center, AVA Gallery, the Lebanon Opera House, Northern Stage, and a wide array of restaurants are within 20 minutes. The Lyme bridge is now open, so there are more restaurants, trails, activities and the Dartmouth Skiway! Despite the proximity to town and even to my home, the simple studio space is serene in its sumac baby forest. The space is one of a kind, with a giant salvaged chapel window, cathedral ceilings, a candelabra, a clawfoot tub, a quirky outhouse, on-demand hot water, electricity and wifi. The site lists that it sleeps 4? But three is more realistic, and I cannot seem to change it. The land has over a half a mile of river frontage and several streams, a beautiful varied forest, rambling topography, and plenty of wildlife. Many lessons in tracking may be found as whitetails, moose, black bear, fishers, bobcats, porcupine, coyotes, foxes, mink, ermine, snowshoe hare, wild turkey, and ruffled grouse, are seen and tracked. Often times we are also lucky enough to catch a hawk circling the pasture and to hear the barred owls calls in the darkness of night. We have PYO Blueberries and a farm stand open from mid July to August. We sell organically grown blueberries and produce locally. Learn more about this land: Our private Sugar Shack is at the end of our blueberry fields and faces the forest. The Sugar Shack sleeps two in a comfy double bed with clean sheets and a fleece blanket. I wash the linens and blanket in hot water for each and every booking. Please bring your own extra blankets or sleeping bag if the weather is cold. An additional clean quilt with duvet cover can be added for a $ 10 per booking fee. There is a small porch, a charcoal grill, four chairs, a hammock, a fire ring, fire wood, clean potable cold water, a solar shower, and an outhouse. We provide the firewood for the fire ring and we provide charcoal and lighter fluid for the charcoal grill. There is space available next to Sugar Shack in the field for additional tents or small RVs. (There is no electricity.) The upcharge for additional campers after the first two people is $5 per person per night. Hiking trails through field and forest start at your door. We have a 3 mile round trip hike to Harlow Brook with a map. We are on the edge of a wildlife corridor and often see deer, coyotes, fox, waterfowl, songbirds and the occasional bear. (Keep food in your car at night so that the bear does not eat it!) We are above the Ottauquechee River at North Hartland Lake. We have rentable canoes and a kayak. We can transport you to and pick you up for a canoe trip on the Connecticut River or to North Hartland Lake.. We are located two miles from Quechee, 7 miles from historic Woodstock to the west, and 7 miles to hip White River Junction to the east and 8 1/2 miles to Dartmouth College and the Appalachian Trail. There are fun casual restaurants with some sit down and take-out nearby and our local Jakes Market can provide you with a nice selection of groceries. Hot Air Balloon pilots often take off and land in our fields and it is always a magical site. We can connect you with local pilots if you wish to purchase a Balloon Adventure.

Looking for a warm and cozy space? Our 12acres are beautifully wooded with our pond as the central point of interest. Camping with a trailer is a fun experience. The communal pavilion has picnic table/benches, propane grill, shared refrigerators, pans, utensils, and dishwashing area and string lights. Please expect some vintage aspects, such as door handles, screens, windows, that function according to their age. These are not new modern trailers and we think that adds to the appeal! However they are clean and cozy! Your trailer is down by the pond, the wildlife clay bottom is spring fed, swimming is allowed during daylight hours only and it is "Swim at your own Risk". Please read the house rules regarding rinsing off and refraining from getting suntan oil etc. in the pond. We usually have wood on site for sale, advance request is much appreciated and please pay upon arrival with cash, $15 per ample bundle and $15 for a bag of charcoal. We do not deliver after 6pm so please order in advance. PLEASE NOTE- you do not have our property to yourselves. We live onsite and on any given night, both trailers can be rented. The cook station, picnic table/benches under the pavilion and composting toilet are communally used. IMPORTANT-PLEASE PLAN TO CHECK IN BETWEEN 4 and 6:30 pm as this is not a location where we can accommodate arrivals after dark. After checking in, you can head back out for dinner, we are a mere 5 miles from Quechee. Cute little property! A nice place if you want to be close to hiking areas or just lay low for a bit. Keep in mind there’s no cellphone service and the property is right off a main road (not near a home so you have the place to yourself, but the road was loud). The cabin had a wonderful wood stove, sink, mini fridge, electric stovetop and tons of thoughtful equipment. Though our trip was short we hope to come back to the area again one day.

We had an incredible two night stay at Know Town, wish we had a week! Lori and Bow were gracious hosts and it was so good getting to meet them. The property is spacious and beautiful with a riverfront fire pit and an open field for stargazing. The dome itself provided all the comforts of home and one of the best nights sleep we’ve had in a while. I know we will be back!

Second time around and the Dome is still great! Amazing space (the acoustics are wild, had a lot of fun with my kids bouncing sound from one spot to another). The weather was chillier than expected but we kept the fire going and played board games…I ran into Bethel for pizzas and we took a quick ride into Pittsfield for breakfast 🤌 Highly recommended, come stay in the Dome!

My family had already booked the adjoining campsite when Matt had just listed this camper, and it was a perfect addition for our group, especially for a husband who doesn't like tent camping, and comfy beds for our toddler to nap. The camper included a detailed welcome note with instructions and recommendations. It was roomy inside with a large bed and two bunk beds, each with their own privacy curtains; dining table and fully stocked galley kitchen; as well as nice bathroom, and universal chargers beside the beds. It ended up raining during the end of our stay but it stayed so cozy inside, and the outdoor awning kept us dry while we made meals on the outdoor grill. The views from the site are gorgeous, the setting is serene, we only noticed a few cars along the road. Definitely need FWD or AWD to get back up the dirt driveway. Also, the country store is 4mins away and had everything we needed, including extra diapers!

Had a great time at Matt’s spot. He has everything you could possibly need for a fun weekend including plenty of firewood, some drinks in the fridge, and kayaks to explore the river with. Would 100% recommend and hope to come back again soon. Matt is super friendly and easy to communicate with.

3 nights at Clay Hill Corners Blueberry Farm

Simple and quiet. Easy to find and get to site. Marty was very helpful. They were very responsive even with booking only the day before. I enjoyed the sunsets and peace. If I am ever in the area again would definitely rebook.

2 nights at Know Town

The dome was amazing! Had all the basic you would need for a few nights. Plus the outhouse was very nice ;) The property was so peaceful with the river steps away from the dome. As noted it does get very cold on below freezing nights but the indoor wood stove became my best friend. I would definitely recommend for people who love a nature camping/rustic glamping experience! Bow the host was very responsive and helpful too.

Weekend Trip to Know Town

Knowtown has what you need…from the soothing but energizing music of the creek to the cool, sun-dappled woods or the wide open field under the stars to the funky and functional facilities, this is the slice of secluded magic you may have been looking for. We stayed in the Dome this time - which was the perfect mix of art, shelter and coziness…plus some powerfully cool acoustic qualities (you have to experience it to get it) but I’ve already booked a week of tent camping later in the summer and will likely be back again for a night or two in the meantime. Bow & Lori were gracious, helpful and just all around good folks so you’re in excellent hands, and - for all of its seclusion - Knowtown is a few minutes away from multiple eateries, general stores and gas stations and just a few minutes more from the interstate.

Weekend Trip to Waterfalls Wild And Free

Vinny is an incredible host. We absolutely love staying on his property, it’s truly a little slice of heaven! The best time to unplug, relax and take it back to basics with outdoor time, hiking, s’more’s and reading a good book in the hammock overlooking the falls. Cant wait for our next trip back. 2 nights at Know Town

Had a great time my with 12 year old daughter at the dome! It's a beautiful site, right by the river. The dome is very cozy and clean, the stove is awesome. We were in early April and it got below freezing overnight, it definitely got cold but stayed warm under the blankets! Owners were chill and great. Thank you!
