Looking for a warm and cozy space? Our 12acres are beautifully wooded with our pond as the central point of interest.
Camping with a trailer is a fun experience.
The communal pavilion has picnic table/benches, propane grill, shared refrigerators, pans, utensils, and dishwashing area and string lights.
Please expect some vintage aspects, such as door handles, screens, windows, that function according to their age.
These are not new modern trailers and we think that adds to the appeal! However they are clean and cozy!
Your trailer is down by the pond, the wildlife clay bottom is spring fed, swimming is allowed during daylight hours only and it is "Swim at your own Risk". Please read the house rules regarding rinsing off and refraining from getting suntan oil etc. in the pond.
We usually have wood on site for sale, advance request is much appreciated and please pay upon arrival with cash, $15 per ample bundle and $15 for a bag of charcoal.
We do not deliver after 6pm so please order in advance.
PLEASE NOTE- you do not have our property to yourselves. We live onsite and on any given night, both trailers can be rented. The cook station, picnic table/benches under the pavilion and composting toilet are communally used.
IMPORTANT-PLEASE PLAN TO CHECK IN BETWEEN 4 and 6:30 pm as this is not a location where we can accommodate arrivals after dark. After checking in, you can head back out for dinner, we are a mere 5 miles from Quechee. We further request that you communicate your arrival time no later that early the day of so that we can greet you. We plan our day around your arrival and ask that you respect our time as well.
Any photography done with our property must be for personal use only and not professional use nor intended for publication. You must have advance (prior to arrival) permission for professional photography which will also require a contract for fees and terms. We also must restrict the use of our property to registered guests only,We also require that you commit to requirements such as no smoking or open flame in trailers, use of pond, etc. All guests swim and hike our property at their own risk.
We ask that you only swim during daylight hours.

Our private Sugar Shack is at the end of our blueberry fields and faces the forest. The Sugar Shack sleeps two in a comfy double bed with clean sheets and a fleece blanket. I wash the linens and blanket
in hot water for each and every booking.
Please bring your own extra blankets or sleeping bag if the weather is cold. An additional clean quilt with duvet cover can be added for a $ 10 per booking fee. There is a small porch, a charcoal grill, four chairs, a hammock, a fire ring,
fire wood, clean potable cold water, a solar shower,
and an outhouse. We provide the firewood for the fire ring and we provide charcoal and lighter fluid for the charcoal grill.
There is space available next to Sugar Shack in the field for additional tents or small RVs. (There is no electricity.) The upcharge for additional campers after the first two people is $5 per person per night.
Hiking trails through field and forest start at your door. We have a 3 mile round trip hike to Harlow Brook with a map. We are on the edge of a wildlife corridor and often see deer, coyotes, fox, waterfowl, songbirds and the occasional bear.
(Keep food in your car at night so that the bear does not eat it!)
We are above the Ottauquechee River at North Hartland Lake. We have rentable canoes and a
kayak. We can transport you to and pick you up for a canoe trip on the Connecticut River or to North Hartland Lake..
We are located two miles from Quechee, 7 miles from historic Woodstock to the west, and 7 miles to hip White River Junction to the east and 8 1/2 miles to Dartmouth College and the Appalachian Trail. There are fun casual restaurants with some sit down and take-out nearby and our local Jakes Market can provide you with a nice selection of groceries.
Hot Air Balloon pilots often take off and land in our fields and it is always a magical site. We can connect you with local pilots if you wish to purchase a Balloon Adventure.

Hello, welcome to Know Town located amidst the close knit hills of central Vermont and nestled in the heart of the Stony Brook watershed in the town of Stockbridge. We have just over 40 acres of diverse natural beauty to explore and bask in, which includes a beautiful stretch of the brook with multiple dunking spots, as well as a larger swimming hole. In addition to Know Town's own outdoor activities, there are plenty of hiking trails and big river swimming holes located nearby.
Currently, we offer three options for your overnight stays, as we just added The Swimming Hole site. This new site is very special and is sure to be a place that you will want to return to. Our Geodesic dome is the epitome of glamping with the comforts of home, but still integrated into the natural surroundings. Located right on the brook with a private fire pit and outdoor dining set up. There is plenty of room for games in the large field and a separate camp spot overlooking a little water fall and one of our swimming holes.
For those who enjoy car camping we have the Apple tree camp site. Located right on the brook with a big rock for sunbathing and a spacious area for tents and rooftop car campers. There are a couple of apple trees to relax in the shade under and a large picnic table and fire pit.
Know Town welcomes well mannered dogs (2 per site). We are 420 friendly and geared towards hosting those interested in arts, music, meditation, and ecology. There is virtually no light pollution which makes for optimal stargazing.
Also, it should be noted that there is currently no Wi-Fi or cell service. Please be aware that Vermont prohibits out-of-state Firewood. We sell firewood for dome and campfires, and guests are welcome to scavenge the plethora of downed dead wood on the property.

Rustic and Comfortable Cabins. No power lines cross our property. We have no blaring screens to distract us from the sound of the wind in the leaves or to call us back to the whirl of modern life. But that does not mean we are without any comforts.
Each cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, hot and cold running spring water, indoor bathroom, and overhead LP gas lamps. My land is easily accessible by main road, has ample parking, and yet cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, wildlife, fireflies and peepers are just outside the door. In the summer season, several organic farmstands and local picturesque swimming holes range between 5-15 minutes away. Autumn's glorious show is on display everywhere you look. Winter offers easy access to groomed VAST trails in the field behind the house and studio. Hopkins Center, AVA Gallery, the Lebanon Opera House, Northern Stage, and a wide array of restaurants are within 20 minutes. The Lyme bridge is now open, so there are more restaurants, trails, activities and the Dartmouth Skiway! Despite the proximity to town and even to my home, the simple studio space is serene in its sumac baby forest. The space is one of a kind, with a giant salvaged chapel window, cathedral ceilings, a candelabra, a clawfoot tub, a quirky outhouse, on-demand hot water, electricity and wifi. The site lists that it sleeps 4? But three is more realistic, and I cannot seem to change it. Also, we have 2 barn cats and the toilet really is an outhouse with an old quarter pipe as its roof.

Weekend Trip to BlueberryHill Field Camp
My fourth time at the best Hipcamp in Vermont. This is the quintessential camping plus comfort. It is a comfortable bed, no bugs. In a shed, no power. With a fire pit, a huge sky, blueberries and moose around, screaming wifi and clean bathrooms and delightful outdoor showers. The Green Mountains have so much to offer and a safe and warm and comfortable place to call home is all you need.

The site was very nice with plenty of accomodations with the fire pit, grill, hammock, and sink/shower area. Marty had a lot of great suggestions on things to do in the area. Even though the advertisement says there is no wifi, I didn't have any issues getting 3 bars while there.

This site was lovely! Very private, surrounded by trees. Bed was comfortable and site had everything we needed. There is no signage/address posted where you are supposed to turn into the driveway, so that made our arrival a little confusing. We stayed on 2 weeknights- both nights there was a lot of loud motorcycle activity in the area that woke us up (site is close to small town area). Otherwise a great place to stay. Cait was a responsive and helpful host.

We had everything we needed, and could tell that Cait and Ben went the extra mile to make sure their guests felt comfortable. Was a terrific spot tucked back in woods. Was on a biking trip in the area and it made for the perfect place to cook up breakfast in the morning and kick back in the evening and relax in the woods after a long day on the trails. Only regret was we didnt have more time to just hangout and enjoy the cabin.

Weekend Trip to Know Town
Great place for more of a glamping getaway! Dome has a lot of room and great furniture and amenities like cooking utensils and a fridge. It got a little hot during the day but during the summer it’s not a big deal because you want to be outside anyway. Swimming hole was lovely and the outhouse was very clean. Would absolutely recommend.

Group trip
My sons & I just spent another amazing weekend at Crescent Moon Cabin! This is our second summer in a row and it’s becoming a tradition. Sheryl and Phil are wonderful hosts and give you just the right level of attentiveness to make your stay comfortable & private at the same time!
The cabin was spotless, cozy, and has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. It has that perfect rustic feel while still being comfortable and the upstairs sleeping area is especially charming.
One of the highlights is always beautiful Halfmoon Pond. We spent hours swimming in the warm crystal-clear water, kayaking, fishing, sunning on the dock, and just enjoying the peaceful surroundings. It is the perfect place to unwind and disconnect from the busyness of everyday life.
We cooked our meals on the gas grill and enjoyed eating on the screened-in porch. And we took advantage of the fire pit each night, making s’mores and just relaxing by the fire.
If you’re looking for a quiet, secluded cabin on a beautiful pond, this is the place. We left feeling refreshed and are already talking about coming back for a third year in a row. Highly recommend!

The land and the cabin are very well taken care of. Everything in the cabin was clean and comfy. Julia was a great host and showed me around the property a bit. Really lovely views of the surrounding hills!

With kids
The site was very private. The tent was big and we all fit with plenty of room. The kids enjoyed the little playground and trampoline and looking at the animals. We had a really nice time!
