My husband and I loved being able to stay at The Dome with our pups for a night. The river is absolutely beautiful, we went in the swimming home as well as the falls. The property is private, well taken care of and soooo peaceful! The Dome took out breaths away. We knew it was still a work in progress but we absolutely loved it. We’ll be back here in no time! 3 nights at Riverfront Ritz Campsite

The site was amazing. It came with everything you need. Plenty of potable water, dishes, cups, cutlery, tables, chairs, solar lights, kayaks, etc. Granted we came with everything we would need but if you just brought food and yourselves you would be good. Site was great, 2 big heavy duty “tents” with a bed and plenty of room for our rotties bed as well. We came with one other couple and our dogs but can easily accommodate another couple. Great fire pit and a separate couch and eating area with picnic table. Waterfront Ritz is an accurate name. If you like fishing, morning 7-9a and night 6-8p was the best. We got 1 sunny, 3 big carp and my wife pulled in a nice size pike (no idea how). It’s extremely private and it has everything you need. If you happen to forget something, or run out of beer, the town is 5 minutes away. We couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay and look forward to visiting again. 10 out of 10.

Such a peaceful oasis close to Town. Falling asleep to the sound of the water was the best!

3 nights at Cozy Mountain Cabin

Standout cabin in the woods. Mattresses & pillows provided (we put our stuff overtop theirs). Luxury hotel-style fire pit set up -the best I’ve seen. Inside camp stove (for heat) is excellent & so easy to use. Fully built out and large outhouse. Gas stove (inside) & gas grill outside. Any comments you see about strangers driving by is because there are other cabins! Nothing to worry about. Nicely located for reasonable driving access to The Ledges & Rock River. Will stay again!

I loved this tiny cabin so much! It was so calm and beautiful. Pretty private, only downside is no bathroom and a little bit of spiders in the porta potty. Beautiful river that you can see from the cabin. The host is incredible and so nice!

The campsite is beautiful! The rocks in the brook by the hammock area were slippery but we just moved downstream a short distance. it was sandier and better for our girls to cool off and wade in the water. Wonderful experience!

The cabin was located in a beautiful spot! Our family absolutely loved camping here. There’s campsites around the property but we were the only ones out there during our stay so it was very quiet and close to a swimming hole. Stephanie was very helpful with anything we needed. Overall a great experience!

This was an extremely last minute booking and the host handled it perfectly. Literally booked at 7:30pm for that night and everything was perfect. The tiny cabin is in a beautiful spot, surrounded by trees and next to a river. It has everything you need for a really enjoyable stay. It’s also less than a mile from Poultney with pubs, restaurants and shops. Safe (because I know some folks worry about that, especially solo travelers like myself) and serene. 1 night at Grateful Acres Vermont

This cabin was well thought out. We had everything we needed to stay the night, get a fire going, etc. There were solar lights, there was heating, there was bug spray. So if we had forgotten anything, it would have been fine. There were also some games and things to do - it wasn't just a 'box' in the woods. I really appreciate the amount of communication from the host. It was evident that she wanted us to have a good time and enjoy our stay.

Weekend Trip to Fern Hollow

We loved staying at the Yurt this past weekend. The location was easy to find and very centrally located in the Sugarbush area. We were minutes drive from swimming, hiking and restaurants. The facilities were rustic but clean. We had a great time meeting folks at the fire pit and cooking area. The fire files were like fireworks and we slept great other than the 3:00 visit by a pair of owls (I think they were owls, totally worth it). Laura was very responsive and her sister and partner checked in with us a few times to make sure we had everything we needed.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Me and my partener stayed on this lovely property in one of the two vintage Airstream trailers right on the shore of our fantastic host's wildlife filled pond. Our host and hostess were both very hospitable, and checked in on us regularly, while still oversight complete privacy. The amenities included were above and beyond what we were expecting, making the experience not only fun, but leisurely. Would 100% recommend giving this "glampsite" a shot, if you happen to be in the area.

So grateful for this stay in the woods! The place is as described and is rustic with thoughtful touchs. You really do want a 4x4 to get through the last leg of the trip down to camp. You would be fine in most cars to the spot near the outhouse (up a hill from camp) otherwise. There are two bathrooms, 1 with a camp bucket and compost bags - for numero uno. And 2 for, well- numero 2 which is away from the site. There is no electricity but rita provided tons of solar lighting and rechargeable battery banks in abundance. Very useful. She came by each day to check our potable water and trash. We cooked over the fire pit with grates and a camp stove. Water was "low" per rita but we wouldnt have known if she didnt point this out. We floated and swam quite a bit- the water is very clean. She also provided fish food to throw out am/pm which thr fishes really liked. We caught- and subsequently ate- a small mouth bass. Yum. A reminder you are outside like tent camping so there are some bugs, chipmunks, maybe a snake. But its nice to sleep on real beds and not have to set up a tent. ALSO- it is between two dams so you may hear the dam alarm go off when they release water. We will be back! 10000/10 for star gazing and 6 star review!

The Hollow at Dynamite Falls

We can also coordinate food orders, forging or harvesting experiences. The cabins are nestled in the middle of an Unconventional Homestead Project, adding to the uniqueness of your stay. While these cabins are technically located in a parking lot you will soon see its anything but a conventional one. Within the fenced in area, you will find rabbits, goats and chickens a series of raised gardens and some permaculture projects. We are situated on the second branch of the White River with river access it's a great spot to swim and play or wash up. There is also 2 camp chairs, picnic table, grill set up with utensils(bring your own charcoal), trash can w/ removal and fire pit. We will provide your first fire set up after that we offer fire wood at a small fee to abide by all state laws. (This protect us from invasive species entering our state) please do not bring wood for out of state. We offer towels for swimming ,a cloth line and solar light along with citronella candles . We have a private outhouse for this campsite that includes toilet and sink with 5 gallons of drinkable water ,all paper products ,trash receptacle and biodegradable soaps and cleaners.

Adirondack Rustic Retreat

As far as we know, this land has been occupied since shortly after the civil war. It is actually two farms, combined into one around 1900. The main farmhouse was built out of the logs they cleared in 1879, and there are old foundations of the other original farm houses/barns as well. All over the property (now woods) there are piles of stones that the original inhabitants pulled from the fields. The second farm house was built in 1901. Most of the total 240 acres were cleared pasture land at that time. During the twenties and thirties the property was owned by an industrious couple from the City that lovingly turned it into more of a "rustic retreat"; damming a pond, planting ornamentals and upgrading the buildings. There have been many owners over the years, but we are proud to say it has been with us the longest. Our family bought it in 1961 and we have been trying to be good stewards ever since. Come and visit our little patch of wilderness!
