This off the grid cozy family owned cabin is located in the town of Sunderland, Vermont. Surrounded by hundreds of acres of national forest, campers can enjoy the sounds of a swift stream flowing nearby, birds chirping in trees, and the rustling of leaves and branches in the breeze. This mountainous area has a rich array of wildlife, meadows, trails, and only a few miles away from the Battenkill River, a tributary of the Hudson River of New York. Once inside you’ll find a small kitchen and dining area complete with a wood burning stove for those cool Vermont nights. The sleeping area offers four generously-sized bunks, a loft area, and a queen futon. Enjoy the peace of nature with a cup of coffee on the porch, but don’t forget to cap off the night with smores around the fire pit! Access to Vermont’s Long Trail System is nearby, with its 272 mile footpath and 166miles of side trails. This offers endless hiking opportunities for the day-hiker, weekend overnighter and extended backpacker. The Long Trail follows the main ridge of the Green Mountains from the Massachusetts-Vermont state line to the Canadian border, crossing Vermont’s highest peaks. As for the daily adventures, take a drive to surrounding ski resorts, including Bromley Mountain being just 15 miles from the property, where you can enjoy various activities year-round. Take a 10 minute drive to visit Mount Equinox Skyline drive where you’ll take in incredible views. Just past Mount Equinox is The Village of Manchester, which is home to the famed Equinox Resort and Spa. A beautiful secluded spot with everything you need! Rebecca was an amazing host, quick to respond and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. There is a beautiful creek nearby that you can hear from the cabin, and provides a good spot to pump water and take a swim!

Sweet little off grid cabin in the woods with the sound of river in the background. Had everything you need for cooking, definitely bring plenty of water for drinking and washing. Peaceful, rustic, private. My dog loved being free and safe. One of the nights there was moose walking through the yard!

The cabin is awesome! Very well stocked, I feel like I didn’t need to bring as much as I did. From the stove to the outhouse, we basically had everything we needed. I stayed with my 2 kids and dog, and we were very comfortable. It seems like they’re adding some cool new additions, which would be great to see in a future visit. Thanks for making our stay so amazing!

We had a wonderful stay st the cozy mountain cabin. It is just as the name suggests. Perfect spot to get away and enjoy nature and relax. The cabin is very nicely kept and has had some recent renovations and appears more to come making an even more comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend and plan on returning ourselves when the weather warms up a bit.

What a great quiet spot for a winter hiking week - quiet well appointed lots of wood clear and cozy just as advertised. Get thoughtful set up for the River our dog. Sleeping to the stream was relaxing. Great center location for lots of great hiking.

Rebecca was super helpful in finding the camp and once we were there everything was perfectly prepared for us. We had everything we could have needed for any scenario we might have missed preparing for and everything was laid out and easy to access. Plus she even started the wood stove for us before we arrived the first night so the cabin was instantly cozy. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Step above Glamping! What a find!

What an amazing find!!!! Super clean, well stocked, comfortable seating and bed. Beautiful location, was amazing to sit outside and listen to the stream, wander over to it and be mesmerized by the cascades. The wood stove heated the cabin right up and the fire pit under the night stars was another treat. Outhouse was clean and I loved the motion light that came on when you entered. Brought our 5 gallon jug of water and there is a shelf over half the sink to set it on and made cooking and clean up a breeze. Propane lamp lit the cabin up at night. Felt like we were staying in a luxurious Airbnb not camping as every need we had Rebecca had already met. Right down to the dog bed and treats for our dog. Highly recommend!!!

Rebecca is the best host with a careful consideration for everything you need to enjoy her cozy nook in the forest. Spent 3 nights on a girls trip with a toddler and camp was absolutely perfect. There are nearby camps so you don’t feel alone, but was off grid enough you could barely hear any main street traffic. There was a roaring brook feet away from the cabin where we were able to hang out after exploring Manchester. Highly recommend checking it out. The cabin is fully stocked with inside and outside cooking utensils. The firepit was top tier as was our whole experience!!

Top-notch Cabin in Woods!!

Standout cabin in the woods. Mattresses & pillows provided (we put our stuff overtop theirs). Luxury hotel-style fire pit set up -the best I’ve seen. Inside camp stove (for heat) is excellent & so easy to use. Fully built out and large outhouse. Gas stove (inside) & gas grill outside. Any comments you see about strangers driving by is because there are other cabins! Nothing to worry about. Nicely located for reasonable driving access to The Ledges & Rock River. Will stay again!

Not too hard to find. Road passable with AWD. Lovely, roomy almost new cabin. Wood stove did the truck, nice Solar LED lights outside and propane and battery lights inside. Decent cell service. Comfy beds. Nice outhouse. Everything you need except, water, food and a sleeping bag. The brook was roaring from snow melt and made for a nice white noise background. Many interesting things to do nearby.

The cabin was better than described and was well-stocked! There was a queen size futon and four twin mattresses on built-in bunks. Everything was clean and ready to use. There is a full size couch and chair as well as a table big enough for 6 people (4 chairs). If you’re doing any winter glamping, know that the road leading up to the cabin is plowed but narrow, and best for vehicles that ride a little higher. We parked about 150-200 yards away from the cabin in the plowed turn-around area and walked our supplies in. We wish we had brought our deer sleds to help drag belongings because it’s an uphill-walk but we will know for next time! The outhouse was well-maintained and had TP, hand sanitizer, and cleaning sprays. There is a motion-detector solar-powered light too. Also, no curtains, which seems to be typical of the area but we weren’t as secluded as we’d like to be to have no coverings on windows at night. Someone in a large blue truck came up to the cabin and turned around in the driveway and we think they also passed us the day prior near the turn-around point. There is no reason to have any traffic in that area so it was a little unsettling but I’d like to assume good intentions. In all, we enjoyed our stay and hope to come again!

Lovely stop in Vermont

Caroline's cabin was a lovely spot, cabin was clean, and stove kept us warm on a chilly evening. I only wish we could have stayed for more than one night. The sound of the stream nearby was very relaxing, and the location is remote and peaceful. The cabin was stocked with many basic supplies. Would highly recommend and hope to stay there again someday.

Amazing Fall weekend at the Cozy Cabin. This is my 2nd stay at this place and it won't be my last. Woodburning stove heated the place up right away, fed it a couple logs every few hours and it stay toasty the whole weekend. Our pup enjoyed himself as well. Caroline responded very quickly to my few questions, very easy to deal with. Propane Coleman stove for cooking up some meals, firepit with cooking grate if you want to grill something. Highly recommend!

We had another incredible stay at the cabin. My friends and I keep coming back to the cabin and we always enjoy our stay. It has everything you need and is located close to so many hikes and other activities. Caroline is a wonderful host and more than accommodating. I always recommend this stay.
