Very quiet area with lots of wildlife and ponds and disc golf. Very quiet with great swimming and lots of hikes right from your sites. 2 of the Brookside Sites (Wishbone Left and Right) are close by (2.7 miles) where we have another 1/2 mile of river frontage and can handle bigger groups as Conservation land on Sunrise Farm only allows 4 campers per site. Sunrise Farm Sites 1 and 2 have oodles of space and Spectacular 50 mile views of Mount Monadnock with no house lights out there in the evening except the party string lights we provide. Site 1 (with entrance 70 yards south of the farmhouse) is best for camping in with up to 20 foot trailers or multiple tents …on the large flat spaces in the 25 acre field to choose from. Great Well water available near farmhouse. Biodegradable soaps Only if used in the ponds. Double Olympic sized Swim Pond we stock with Rainbow Trout to keep clear. We have been advised Not to allow imported firewood (can import Wood Beetle dangerous for our forest). - PLEASE use the Firewood bundle tubs we provide ($12.50) - pick up at the farmhouse or pull wood from the woods (and make it safer for use). Beautiful and plenty of wildlife nearby... as well as Outhouses are marked on Map we provide with solar lights marking them at night. Do Not Leave food out when camping or away from site. Bears are rarely seen but it is wild country. Sites have locking garbage lids. Unique and lovely as well as being next to trails and roads to miles of remote spots with very few if any ... people. In Winter we request only AWD vehicles go down to this site or park up by farmhouse and hike in so you can easily get out. When wet park up by the road if you have 2 wheel drive. Always WISE to arrive When LIGHT out as we do not live at the site and are not able to show guests to their sites as a result.

The field is located next to the Blueberry Hill Inn and Outdoor, nestled in the heart of the Green Mountain National Forest and the Moosalamoo Recreation Area—offering stunning sunsets! You can drive your car right up to your site, which offers privacy, though you may occasionally see other tents in the open field. Please note, wood from outside Vermont is not permitted. Step outside your tent and you'll find a wealth of hiking, biking, and running trails. Conserved by the South Hero Land Trust, the historic Sawyer Bay Farm on the Island of South Hero was converted to grazing beef cattle. Our farm name is Health Hero Farm. We practice intensive planned grazing, moving the cattle daily to fresh grass. The herd may be near the campsites or completely out of sight, somewhere on our 180 acres. While we were building a house, we camped in the equipment shed during the summer and grew to value its convenience. Joan's enjoyment of cycling inspired her to designate the farm stand as a "bike stop" where visitors could buy a snack, get water, fix their bikes and use the unique islands amenity of a composing toilet in a converted ice fishing shack. South Hero is an agricultural island, as well as a summer tourist destination with numerous outdoor activities. It is also only a half-hour away from Burlington, and the drive is pleasurable. Pitch your tent, stow your gear under cover and explore all the islands have to offer. Yes, this is a summer destination, with great cycling, boating and swimming. We are a grass-fed beef operation, Health Hero Farm, on the island of South Hero. (You can read more about us on our farm website. ) Our farm is on the bike route around the islands, with access to many other vacation activities. Pitch your tent in the farmstead or in half of our empty equipment shed 30' x 60'. Or tool on down the farm road and be alone with the cattle and grass. In the shed, which is open on the north side, you have shelter from the rain, sun and wind. We have two campsites that can share a microwave, hot plate, refrigerator, camp sink and coffee maker in the barn. Lots of storage under roof for bikes and luggage. Our composting toilet (from Natures Head Composting Toilet) is a unique amenity -- installed in a retired ice-fishing shack (on skis). During the busy summer months, we may have a port-o-let (a.k.a. port-a-potty) with professional service. In the winter, the equipment shed not available. We rent out vehicle and boat storage in the equipment shed and cannot accommodate camping there. However, we have ample parking for RVs at any time of the year. And if you are an experienced snow camper, we have several locations to choose from. We have a farm stand where you can buy a few snacks. If you want to try our beef, we'll be happy to show you our freezers. We are 2 miles from a convenience store that packs an amazing array of products into a small space. We are close to a gem of a public beach, a winery (Snow Farm Vineyard), apple orchards, a public school playground, and miles of scenic driving. Local farmers markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays offer some of the best produce from these agricultural islands. We also own 1000' frontage on Lake Champlain, which you may enjoy. It is difficult to access, but affords privacy and serenity. We allow campfires on the gravel areas of the farm and on the beach, where you can gather dead wood. If you want to host a large group, you will need to reserve both campsites and rent a port-o-let (Vermont's lingo for porta-potty) if we don't already have one. Additional fees might apply. There is no RV electrical hookup; however, the equipment shed has electric outlets for your use. Additional fees apply for energy intensive appliances, such as heaters or air conditioners. There is no water hookup; however, we can fill your tanks with a hose from a potable water supply. Generators are not allowed, unless you are sufficiently distanced from other campers and our neighbors. Other accommodations may be available. Just ask! We have many resources, and want you to have a great visit.

My family has been doing sustainable forestry and pasture basedfarming heresince the 1980's. We raise pigs, chickens, ducks, geese and sometimes sheep on pasture delivering to local individuals, restaurants and stores year round. We have our own on-farm USDA butcher shop where we cut meat, make sausage, bacon, salt pork and other delicious meats. This is back country camping with logging roads, log landings and old country roads.There are many options for camp sites including just off road to deep in woods on logging roads & landings. Sites are not fixed - pick one you like in the non-farm zone, respecting other campers, and enjoy your visit. Note: This is real country - not a hotel, motel or groomed camp ground nor groomed trails. It is a working farm and forest. There is no front desk, no 24/7 service. Be attentive about clearance on your vehicles on side roads, logging trails and log landings. Logging & Side Roads & Landings are dirt/gravel. Some lower vehicles may have difficulty with clearance expecially in wet and muddy weather. There are many camping sites that are accessible near the main roads and better landings where you can park. Occasionally there is logging activity to stay clear of - it will be obvious as there is big equipment and log piles then. Please stay outside of the fenced Farm Zone areas. Fences are electricified for the livestock and there are big livestock guardian herding dogs in the farm zone. There are acres and acres (>100?) of wild raspberries and blackberries all over the mountains and valley - a delight for the tongue in their seasons roughly July to September. Dozens of wild apple trees abound as well. In the past people have grown marijuana on my land without permission - if you find any, go ahead and take it. A plethora and diversity of wildlife. Bring your cameras and binoculars but no guns, bows or traps. General store and Post Office 1.5 miles south of farm on Route-25. Barre town 9.5 miles north on Route-302 with Montpelier just a little further, each having a wide range of dining & shopping as well as local sights. There are many local lakes and rivers with great swiming. Groton Lake with it's Boulder Beach is just up Rt-302 a few miles to our east. A little further you'll find Lake Champlain, Lake Fairlee, Lake Morey and the Connecticut River as well as many other lakes and rivers in Vermont. PORK, both fresh and smoked, available most times from farm by appointment. Currently I have bacon, smoked jowl, smoked ham, smoked trotters and smoked hocks in stock. FIREWOOD - Vermont bans bringing firewood in from other states because of pest and disease risks so get the wood locally. You may use downed wood laying on the ground for your grill but please do not cut down trees. Dead lower branches of spruce and pine may be trimmed and they make excellent kindling. Cut close to the trunk to leave it safe for others. I also usually have dry firewood you can purchase for $10 per bundle. Much of the year fires are allowed such as when snow is on the ground. Please leave farm gates closed, stay out of fenced (electric!) farm fields, do not feed farm animals, keep roads open for others and be respectful of other campers, neighbors & locals. Fences in the farm area are typically electrified - no touch. Please note that I have big farm dogs who guard and herd our livestock. Please do not bring your dogs into the farm area (shown on map) as my dogs will see your dogs as possible threats to their livestock. Well behaved dogs, children and adults are welcome in the forest land. A leash is recommended if you do not have good voice control of dogs and children. Remember I farm so I may not always reply to texts quickly and I'm rarely near the front gate. My house is over 500' higher up the mountain from the front gate and road so I may not hear you even if you honk, especially at night. Conserved by the South Hero Land Trust, the historic Sawyer Bay Farm on the Island of South Hero was converted to grazing beef cattle. Our farm name is Health Hero Farm. We practice intensive planned grazing, moving the cattle daily to fresh grass. The herd may be near the campsites or completely out of sight, somewhere on our 180 acres. While we were building a house, we camped in the equipment shed during the summer and grew to value its convenience. Joan's enjoyment of cycling inspired her to designate the farm stand as a "bike stop" where visitors could buy a snack, get water, fix their bikes and use the unique islands amenity of a composing toilet in a converted ice fishing shack. South Hero is an agricultural island, as well as a summer tourist destination with numerous outdoor activities. It is also only a half-hour away from Burlington, and the drive is pleasurable. Pitch your tent, stow your gear under cover and explore all the islands have to offer. Yes, this is a summer destination, with great cycling, boating and swimming. We are a grass-fed beef operation, Health Hero Farm, on the island of South Hero. (You can read more about us on our farm website. ) Our farm is on the bike route around the islands, with access to many other vacation activities. Pitch your tent in the farmstead or in half of our empty equipment shed 30' x 60'. Or tool on down the farm road and be alone with the cattle and grass. In the shed, which is open on the north side, you have shelter from the rain, sun and wind. We have two campsites that can share a microwave, hot plate, refrigerator, camp sink and coffee maker in the barn. Lots of storage under roof for bikes and luggage. Our composting toilet (from Natures Head Composting Toilet) is a unique amenity -- installed in a retired ice-fishing shack (on skis). During the busy summer months, we may have a port-o-let (a.k.a. port-a-potty) with professional service. In the winter, the equipment shed not available. We rent out vehicle and boat storage in the equipment shed and cannot accommodate camping there. However, we have ample parking for RVs at any time of the year. And if you are an experienced snow camper, we have several locations to choose from. We have a farm stand where you can buy a few snacks. If you want to try our beef, we'll be happy to show you our freezers. We are 2 miles from a convenience store that packs an amazing array of products into a small space. We are close to a gem of a public beach, a winery (Snow Farm Vineyard), apple orchards, a public school playground, and miles of scenic driving. Local farmers markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays offer some of the best produce from these agricultural islands. We also own 1000' frontage on Lake Champlain, which you may enjoy. It is difficult to access, but affords privacy and serenity. We allow campfires on the gravel areas of the farm and on the beach, where you can gather dead wood. If you want to host a large group, you will need to reserve both campsites and rent a port-o-let (Vermont's lingo for porta-potty) if we don't already have one. Additional fees might apply. There is no RV electrical hookup; however, the equipment shed has electric outlets for your use. Additional fees apply for energy intensive appliances, such as heaters or air conditioners. There is no water hookup; however, we can fill your tanks with a hose from a potable water supply. Generators are not allowed, unless you are sufficiently distanced from other campers and our neighbors. Other accommodations may be available. Just ask! We have many resources, and want you to have a great visit.

My family has been doing sustainable forestry and pasture basedfarming heresince the 1980's. We raise pigs, chickens, ducks, geese and sometimes sheep on pasture delivering to local individuals, restaurants and stores year round. We have our own on-farm USDA butcher shop where we cut meat, make sausage, bacon, salt pork and other delicious meats. This is back country camping with logging roads, log landings and old country roads.There are many options for camp sites including just off road to deep in woods on logging roads & landings. Sites are not fixed - pick one you like in the non-farm zone, respecting other campers, and enjoy your visit. Note: This is real country - not a hotel, motel or groomed camp ground nor groomed trails. It is a working farm and forest. There is no front desk, no 24/7 service. Be attentive about clearance on your vehicles on side roads, logging trails and log landings. Logging & Side Roads & Landings are dirt/gravel. Some lower vehicles may have difficulty with clearance expecially in wet and muddy weather. There are many camping sites that are accessible near the main roads and better landings where you can park. Occasionally there is logging activity to stay clear of - it will be obvious as there is big equipment and log piles then. Please stay outside of the fenced Farm Zone areas. Fences are electricified for the livestock and there are big livestock guardian herding dogs in the farm zone. There are acres and acres (>100?) of wild raspberries and blackberries all over the mountains and valley - a delight for the tongue in their seasons roughly July to September. Dozens of wild apple trees abound as well. In the past people have grown marijuana on my land without permission - if you find any, go ahead and take it. A plethora and diversity of wildlife. Bring your cameras and binoculars but no guns, bows or traps. General store and Post Office 1.5 miles south of farm on Route-25. Barre town 9.5 miles north on Route-302 with Montpelier just a little further, each having a wide range of dining & shopping as well as local sights. There are many local lakes and rivers with great swiming. Groton Lake with it's Boulder Beach is just up Rt-302 a few miles to our east. A little further you'll find Lake Champlain, Lake Fairlee, Lake Morey and the Connecticut River as well as many other lakes and rivers in Vermont. PORK, both fresh and smoked, available most times from farm by appointment. Currently I have bacon, smoked jowl, smoked ham, smoked trotters and smoked hocks in stock. FIREWOOD - Vermont bans bringing firewood in from other states because of pest and disease risks so get the wood locally. You may use downed wood laying on the ground for your grill but please do not cut down trees. Dead lower branches of spruce and pine may be trimmed and they make excellent kindling. Cut close to the trunk to leave it safe for others. I also usually have dry firewood you can purchase for $10 per bundle. Much of the year fires are allowed such as when snow is on the ground. Please leave farm gates closed, stay out of fenced (electric!) farm fields, do not feed farm animals, keep roads open for others and be respectful of other campers, neighbors & locals. Fences in the farm area are typically electrified - no touch. Please note that I have big farm dogs who guard and herd our livestock. Please do not bring your dogs into the farm area (shown on map) as my dogs will see your dogs as possible threats to their livestock. Well behaved dogs, children and adults are welcome in the forest land. A leash is recommended if you do not have good voice control of dogs and children. Remember I farm so I may not always reply to texts quickly and I'm rarely near the front gate. My house is over 500' higher up the mountain from the front gate and road so I may not hear you even if you honk, especially at night. We enjoyed the horse run in! The run in was clean and had everything we needed. Very much enjoyed the wood burning stove, hot tub, and fire pit. We found the dvd player, books, and record player charming. The farm is beautiful and we enjoyed the town of Londonderry. While the listed rules were a bit overwhelming, Ben and Loana were very kind and hospitable and easy to deal with (it was only surprising bc the rules had set a bit of a different tone). I would highly recommend.

She made sure my stay at the base camp was comfortable and that I had everything I needed while giving me plenty of space (and recommendations) for doing my own thing. The steak I purchased from their stock was also ridiculously good with this garlic Parmesan "Better Butter" that I got from the local store. So good. If I lived on the East Coast, I'd definitely visit again!

With the main house built in 1860 this property has seen many uses such as a farm, retail Christmas store, church, rental cabins, and a gravel quarry among other things. I now try to keep the back acreage by the brook and pond as natural as possible for habitat, as well as you the campers! Learn more about this land: I have 3 well spaced out RV sites on the property. They fit different sized rigs so please read the descriptions. Pets are welcome at the sites, but please have them remain leashed or under your effective verbal control. Most will have cell service at the sites or there is a free public Wi-Fi in Wilmington center. Private yet convenient to Downtown Wilmington, VT. Located between the Harriman reservoir and Lake Raponda, both great for boating, fishing and swimming. As well as the Deerfield River across the street, which runs through town. There is a public hiking trail that goes through the property. It goes from the Fairview ave. boat launch in Wilmington, all the way up to West Dover. You can access this at the back of the site. The sites are only a minutes drive from downtown Wilmington, or you can hike/bike there on the trail (approx 15 min). In Wilmington there is plenty of shopping, gifts, coffee, restaurants, gas, liquor store. I also have dry, split firewood available for $10 on site. Please don't bring your own unless it is prepackaged from shaws or bought from one of the local sellers right around me. Transportation of out of state firewood can bring invasive beetles to our forests...

Experience all that the northeast kingdom of Vermont has to offer while staying at Green Mountain Glamping. Ride the Kingdom Trails right from the property! Nestled among the trees, our bell tent sites feature comfortable beds, pillows, linens, towels, a picnic table, smokeless fire pit, large ADA portapotty and more! We also have two sites for those that want to bring their own tent, camper or RV. New for 2025 is an outdoor shower! These are private sites on our property. You'll drive past our home, garage, and garden to get to each site and you'll be able to see our buildings from the sites. We have a very large English Mastiff and some hens. Both are contained in our fenced in yard. Eggs can be purchased upon request. We also have a some dirt jumps if you need to get warmed up before your ride, and a simple bike wash station ready to go when you get back. Lots of wildlife inhabit our area of Vermont. During your stay you're likely to see whitetail deer, squirrels and chippies, rabbits, and hawks. There's a chance you may see a fox, black bear, moose or even a bobcat! We ask that food is secured in your vehicle and not brought into the bell tents, for your own safety. We do have a basket of safety equipment in each tent. The basket contains bug spray, bear horn, simple first-aid kit, fire extinguisher, and a flash light.

Enjoy the sounds of nature when you stay in this unique place. Imagine all the amenities of a campground, but you scored the only site on a 500 acre working maple syrup farm. Its a 10 minute uphill walk from your car. We have a wagon for you to shuttle your gear if needed and for an additional fee we can shuttle your gear up to the site based on host availability. We provide the tent, cots with insulated mattress, outhouse, and water for the outdoor kitchen. For an additional fee we will also provide sleeping bag with liner, and pillows for up to 4 guests. The tent has room for 4 people, if your group number exceeds 4 you will need to bring an additional tent and sleeping gear. We have 2 single and 1 queen size cot. To fit 4, the single cots will need to transition into bunk beds. There is plenty of hiking and back country skiing right outside the door. At the base of the driveway there is a popular river suitable for swimming, paddling and floating. We are close to multiple mountain biking trails, local restaurants, breweries and are just off the long trail.

One of the oldest properties in town the Day Homestead (as it is known) dates back hundreds of years and our house was built in 1810. It was run as a successful trout farm of 70+ years. Learn more about this land: We have two sites on our historic Vermont trout farm. The first site sits near our post and beam "run in" horse barn. It's a very flat site with easy road access and has 30 AMP electric service and we can provide potable water to fill up your tank. The second site sits a little further back (also very easy access) and closer to Quation Brook. It is better suited for boondocking as it is a little ways from the 30 AMP outlets. Again water is available. Our farm is very rural but close (2 miles) to interstate 89 with a well stocked country store in town. It's a quiet setting near the gardens and a small stream. We are a small hobby farm that grows and sells produce to local coops. We also produce and sell Vermont maple syrup and salsa.

Buttercup is a large, luxe, wood and canvas lodge at the top of a 15 acre mountain meadow overlooking the green mountains. A mown path leads directly to one of the area’s best swimming holes, at the base of a waterfall underneath a covered bridge. The lodge has two bedrooms and sleeps five guests. We operate a small working farm on our 50 acre property. Approximately 7 acres is cleared fields where we grow hemp, pigs and chickens. We are at the end of a dirt road with private access and stunning views of the surrounding mountains. If you decide to stay with us we can guarantee you your own private tent site to get away from it all, or a beautiful spot to park your van, car or small camper, all while still being only 10 minutes to the amenities of town, 15 minutes to world famous mountain biking at Kingdom Trails, or 20 minutes to breathtaking Lake Willoughby. Learn more about this land: We have two private tent platforms located in a mature mixed hardwood forest on our 50 acre property, as well as one van/small camper/car camping site located on the edge of our field. Each tent platform site includes an elevated and level 10'x12' cedar tent platform, a picnic table, and more privacy than the car camping site. Parking is less than a 1 minute walk from the platforms down a well maintained woods road and gorilla carts are available to help haul your gear. Many guests who wish to stay right next to their cars choose to car camp on the edge of the field in the car camping site, either pitching a tent or spending the night in their small camper. The views from this site are breathtaking, but it has less privacy as it is located next to the communal firepit, and amidst our working farm so we will occasionally be around doing chores, (the chickens and pigs are early risers). The communal fire pit has a great view and a few chairs are provided. Seasoned firewood is available for purchase, and we ask that you please do not harvest or burn your own wood off the property. Potable drinking water and a portable toilet are also available onsite for our guests. Well behaved pets are welcome, but must remain on a leash to ensure they do not disturb our plants or farm animals. We are at the dead end of a gravel road and can guarantee complete privacy and seclusion if you are looking to get away from it all, yet still be located conveniently within 10 minutes of Lyndonville, 15 minutes to Kingdom Trails and East Burke, 20 minutes to Lake Willoughby, and at the doorstep to the beautiful wilderness of Vermont's Northeast Kingdom!

Located at the end of a dirt road, quiet with views of Killington/Pico and Salt Ash Mountain. Its a 15 min drive from Okemo/Ludlow, 10min drive from the Appalachian trail (7.9 mile walk) and there are 3 other Ski resorts within an hour of us as well as numerous lakes and hiking trails. Just 2 miles up the road is Star Lake and the quaint town of Belmont. Our 7 acres sits on the Northside of Belmont hill. Half of it is open with several gardens to meander through. There is a pergola filled with kiwis and wisteria and a hammock for lounging. A shady grape arbor filled with white grapes that we have made wine with. On property we have a tree fort, greenhouse, chickens and pigs. We do provide fresh eggs for sale. There is a medium pond in the back for swimming, a large fire pit for fires and but the Hip Shack comes with its own fire pit/grill combo. Wood bundle's are also available. There is a rudimentary outdoor toilet and shower. The shower can be filled with hot water using the faucet by the garage. All water from hoses, pump hoses and faucets is the same drinkable well water, collected from the many underground springs that also feed into the pond.

Thank you for a great 2025 season, as our 6th season closes, we still maintain a few sites for late Fall/early Winter (tent & van/camper sites)! Enjoy the Vermont Countryside year round. Our farm is nestled along a country road between several other farms, mostly horses and a special needs/therapy farm, we are hobby farmers/homesteaders. We have three sites open anytime, during camping season (depending on weather), either all three tent camping sites or a mix of one or two for camper vans & small trailers (into late Fall/early Winter). The Guilford Fairgrounds is less than 1/4 mile away and has many hiking and biking trails. The land was originally part of a colonial Glebe Trust with the Church of England and divided up, the original 100+ year farmhouse and barn can be seen from many of the campsites. Guilford, Vermont is located in the southeast of Windham County, resting along the Massachusetts border to the south and New Hampshire not far to the east. A community with a long and interesting history, Guilford was actually Vermont’s largest town as long ago as 1790. Now, with a population of about 2,100, its by no means considered a large community yet with its beautiful old covered bridges, churches, and one-room schoolhouse, Guilford maintains an unmistakable sense of history while at the same time having a reputation as one of the truly unique small communities in southern Vermont. Guilford has some of the most quintessential small town landmarks in all of Vermont. Sites like the Christ Church, Broad Brook House, and Guilford Center Meeting House were all built in the early 19th Century and are now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. These buildings are found in what is considered the historic Center; shop for great local products at the Guilford Country Store, visit the charming Free Library, or even see some of the exhibits at the Historical Society Museum to learn more about the area and its history. Beyond the town center, venturing through the rest of Guilford will enable you to see the beautiful Vermont landscape.

We have a few hiking trails on Blood brook road one of which you can walk to from our home and it’s only a very short distance away. We are located 3 miles from Lake Fairlee Public beach also known as Treasure Island so bring your swimsuit! We are also within 5 minutes of the Lake Fairlee boat launch so feel free to bring your canoe or kayak and enjoy a paddle around our beautiful lake. We enjoy hosting both families and large groups looking for a place to unwind.

Dry RV Campsite Along Stony Brook Pristine Stony Brook and Stony Brook Road run past this one-acre RV site within the Chateauguay NoTown Conservation Area and Les Newell Wildlife Management Area, Vermont's oldest regional conservation partnership. Three miles up gravel Stony Brook Road, this site is about two miles downstream from the Appalachian Trail. A very rewarding and strenuous hike leads you down into a beautiful secluded brook, with waterfalls and swimming holes.
