As of 2026 my day job hours have changed. I no longer get out of work at 3, now it is 6 PM. If you are arriving same-day you should probably message me first to make certain your site is ready otherwise you might be rolling the dice a bit.

If relaxing in the shade by the river and dipping your feet in is your thing, our property is perfect for that! However, this is not a swimming hole. The Medina River is generally not considered safe in Bandera, TX, due to consistent low flow. Swim at your own risk.

We have so many trees! All of our sites are hammock-friendly.
- When you check-in, just text us, your host will help you find your campsite.
- Some sites are drive-in where your vehicle can park right next to the fire. Others are walk-in and require a short hike of 100' or less from your parking space. You can indicate your preference during booking or at check-in.
If you want to drive right into your site,
Campsites 2, 3, 6, and 12 are the sites you want.
Some of our campsites are more secluded than others and offer extreme privacy in the most beautiful settings we have to offer. If you're looking for a wilder campsite surrounded by huge old trees and all the peace the woods have to offer, just request Campsites 4, 5, 7, or 8. Each of these sites requires a walk of at least 50' from your vehicle to the fire ring.
Site 13 is only for backpackers or people willing to hike about 500 yards to the campsite over rough terrain. There is no way to drive to it or even get close except on foot. But it is spectacular and beautiful!
Only three sites can accommodate a smaller trailer or camper. Site 1, Site 2, and site 6. Please notify me in your booking if you intend to bring a camper and I can accommodate you.
We practice leave-no-trace as much as possible. So please pack out anything you pack in. You are responsible for removing all trash. If any garbage is left behind in your site you will be billed for the cleanup. We have a dumpster located near the front gate. Please use it and put all your trash in there.
Heads-up! We have a small farm on the property.
Dogs are always welcome and we LOVE our furry friends! For their safety and the safety of our livestock please keep them leashed while on property.

My husband and I had a great time staying at riverfront site #1. It’s a shaded area with a short walk to the river. Port a potty was nice and clean and a short distance to walk to. There is a steep hill so expect to walk up that to shower, it’s a fun workout. 10/10 recommend staying here though. Will definitely be back

This was my second time camping in the Lost Woods and first time with my Girl Scout troop. The teens loved seeing the farm animals and petting the goats. The other campers were considerate and turned off music at an extremely reasonable hour. If you’re looking for a super quiet experience, try to book a campsite further from Braun Road. The trails were great and we had a wonderful time! Thank you!

I camped at site 4 and really enjoyed my time. The bathroom is very clean and was always stocked. The grounds were well kept and I loved the friendly dogs and cat of the owner. I'm glad I got in during the day though, because site 4 was not marked super clearly, but the owner was also nearby to help find it.

I loved car/tent camping at Seco Ridge! Woody was a super attentive and responsive host. I needed some last minute firewood and Woody delivered some before we made it back from our hike.
Seco ridge has excellent shared spaces (kitchen, grill, bathhouse) as well as secluded camp sites. With its location between Lost Maples and Garner State Park it is the ideal spot to camp!

We really enjoyed this site! Had an RV spot with plenty of room to ourself - didn't feel too close to anyone, although at first when pulling in we thought we were close to the other RV and in the "backyard" of one of the cabin/houses, but it didn't end up feeling like that and still felt fairly private. Having electric and a water spout was nice (although the spout was just a few inches sticking out vertically from the ground, as it's intended for an RV hookup hose), room for our pop-up camper (don't actually have an RV) plus we set up a 10x10' canopy (although there were plenty of trees in the area), and it was just a few strides to the firepit. Our site was just a couple minutes walk to the water, too. The water was so clear and cool! Not sure about the depth everywhere, but where we went was anywhere from shin to thigh deep. Some areas might have gotten a little bit deeper. We did some fishing, as well. We'd definitely recommend! Thank you, Angela, for the hospitality.

My kids and I had a great time camping at Sparrow Bend River Retreat! We enjoyed the privacy, swimming in the river, and skipping rocks! The owner was very kind when I ran into an issue at the end of our stay. I most definitely recommend this place, and I will come back again!

We camped at the Teepee and everything about our stay exceeded my expectations. As an avid camper, lover of secluded places with great vibes, this is the place. The flow of the creek was perfect for my young daughters to play and explore in. The cypress, and ferns that grow there are stunning. The seclusion is SO great. We felt a million miles away from it all, exactly what I wanted. The drive is was SO fun, with river crossings - and the feeling of disappearing further and further into the wild.
Fritz was away while we were there, but Ken met us and was delightful. We felt so welcome, and while we knew we had hosts near to help, we never saw or heard a thing but the river flowing, frogs, and birds.
Stunning property, great vibes and cannot wait for our next visit.

We had a great time at Boulderdash! The camp site was clean with plenty of shade, a picnic table, and community sink/bathrooms. My kids loved climbing the boulders, playing in the river, and searching for deer. It was a perfect little getaway from Austin for the weekend. Highly recommend!

My wife and I put up a tent for the weekend on Forest 2 and loved it! It had to tent spots of different size and tree cover. The river is crystal clear and serene, perfect for quiet morning walks. Bandera is only 20ish minutes for daytime activities too. We’re definitely coming back.
