We are in the customer service business, meaning we make it easy to camp (and celebrate!) with our beautiful 4-season canvas glamp tents and glamp vintage trailers. Just drive up to your tent and get ready to relax. All tents are fully furnished with made beds and critical supplies, and have picnic tables, chairs around the fire rings, firewood, and charcoal grills. Our premier platform tents also have electric, heat, Keurig coffee pots, coffee and more! Vintage trailers have everything you need as well inside and out. We have a 5 acre homestead/hobby farm that is nestled in the Sam Houston National Forest. We are off the beaten path with beautiful views, peace and quiet and farm animals! We have goats, donkeys, rabbits, a miniature cow, a miniature horse, a pony, ducks, geese, turkeys, peacocks and chickens roaming our property. We just had a new addition Colt who was born on our property March 12th 2023. He is our precious little donkey.

We had an absolutely great time! We were able to get this amazing spot last minute! My boys and I saw tons of stars, heard coyotes and enjoyed looking at the horses! Next time we want to go fishing. My oldest boy loved riding his bike on the trails!

My husband and I loved tent camping on Julie’s land! It was so peaceful at night and quiet. The fire pit was definitely the highlight for our evening as we roasted hotdogs on the fire! The restroom was stocked with many different bath products incase you forget something which was a nice surprise. We were also visited by her Great Pyrenees “Abba” during the day and he is such a sweet boy! 10/10 would recommend coming here for a relaxing and easy camping experience.

Site 10 feels totally private and spacious. It’s the perfect spot to hang a hammock and listen to the tall pines sway in the wind. Our weekend spirit guide, a giant white Great Pyrenees ranch dog, appeared from the woods on our first night. At his own free will he spent a good deal of the weekend with us; guarding our tent at night, guiding us on the beautiful hiking trails, greeting us as soon as we woke up, checking in periodically for belly scratches, and pawing at us when we stopped to demand more pets. We weren’t sure his real name, so we named him Falkor for the weekend after the big white dragon in The Neverending Story. (It’s a good movie you should watch it.) It was hard saying goodbye to Falkor but an interaction doesn’t have to be long for it to be meaningful. Would return to hang out with Falkor again and reconnect with nature!

Me and my family loved it. Real nice and quiet place, the fire pit, the tent, and had almost everything you need, such as a table, chairs, even an hammock. There is not much to wonder around but is cozy, so you shouldn’t need to. The only thing is that the restroom is not super close, so the only thing I would’ve brought was a portable potty for easy going.

Within 30-45 min of college station, this was the perfect weekend getaway! Site 22 was spacious and had good hammocking trees! It was very close to the restroom with was a great bonus. We spent the day in the little boats on the lake, and hiking the beautiful trails. Julie was very helpful and kind and brought us firewood along with a visit from the cutest dog! Lots of room to park our cars, the trees blocked the wind very nicely. You can’t go wrong with any site at 5D Ranch!! Already planning another trip sometime soon!

Quietness has a new definition at 5D Ranch! Miles of forest-filled trails with serine camping possibilities everywhere! Julie’s deer is so tame it’s like a family pet. Weather doesn’t matter nearly as much as at other campsites, due to the more firmly-packed sandy access roads.

This place was an absolute dream location not far from Houston. If you need a weekend away to disconnect from city life this is an absolute gem! So quiet and relaxing and the owners are very attentive to your every need! I would 100 percent recommend this to anyone who wants a quiet retreat to decompress and relax!
