Thirteen years ago my best friend and I started a canoe and kayak company to allow people to experience the same things that we experienced as children. We have met thousands of people and had opportunities to become friends with many of them. We look forward to seeing them every year. Mother Nature has a lot to offer when you cross the creek into the first two campsites that are on the 30' creek. One big spring runs through the middle of the 2 sites with small cascading waterfalls. Both sites have string lights and 120V extension cords. These two sites are separated by the driveway and about 150' apart but a bridge connects the two if you have another couple that wants to join you these two spots are perfect for privacy and companionship. Expand the pictures to a full screen as you scroll so the description will show up at the bottom of the picture. Not all pictures are on the property but describe close places to visit as well. FIREWOOD: Split wood is available upon request and sold in the area (if it's available at the time) or any fallen dead wood from the forest is free. $7.00 for a 20" bundle. SITE 1: The nicer of the two sites along the creek, has granite counters, a round fire pit with a fold down heavy cooking grate, charcoal grill and a large wrought iron table and chairs. RENT A CAMPER WITH SITE 1 or BRING YOUR PERSONAL CAMPER: Our retro style 2017 option on the other side of the creek with stairs and stones to cross the creek. The clear cold water is a great place to relax and cool off or watch crawfish, minnows and salamanders and the occasional blue herron. 120V and string lights. Parking is a little tight unless you're in a Jeep of more off road vehicle that can park up the hill a bit. SITE 3: "Still Hollow" is more private and located right in the middle valley of the property where a different spring fed creek runs down the wooded valley. There is no electricity but you can still enjoy the sound of small cascading waterfalls and a creek that runs along the side of the site for a relaxing sleep. There is a granite countertop, charcoal grill and a fire ring. A small round wrought iron table and 4 chairs are there for a place to eat lunch. The old moonshine barrels are still barely standing by the spring. This site is also accessed from the opposite side of the campground on Ben Fly Rd or Greer Rd for the serious off roaders. 4 wheel drive may be necessary but a Hyundai car entered through the creek in 2 wheel drive. It was dry though. STAR GAZING for all 3 sites: There is a cleared area on top of a hill side for stargazing far from the city lights. CHECK IN: Check in can be as early as like if the present campers have checked out. You can always hang out elsewhere on the property and start your day to explore and hike till they leave. Just let us know in advance. And you can stay all day the day of check out but you may have to pack up and park elsewhere if other campers need the spot. If not. Stay till dark. At the front of the property you will find horses in the paddocks as well as chickens, mini donkeys, a sheep, a pig, mini Highland cows, and dwarf Nigerian goats, all within the barnyard. A spring fed creek runs along the front of the property by the road and there is a stocked one acre pond near the main home. Elisabeths cute little spot is great! Directions were perfect, we had no trouble finding it in the dark. She has solar lights that line the space, so backing in was easy. The site is level, has a picnic table & fire pit with chairs set up. It was raining for our stay, so we did not use either…but would have if the weather was nicer. Walked our dog around the property area and up the road in the morning, which was not busy. This Hipcamp was perfect for our roadtrip and one night stop to check out Nashville.

Tent camping here was a breeze. It felt very secluded despite only being 15 minutes or so from Nashville. We did hear some faint traffic nearby but not a peep during the night hours. There were some people hunting way far off in the distant and we heard some rifles go off a few times during the day, but we didn't feel unsafe by any means during our stay. The site was beautiful, fully surrounded by trees at the top of the hill--exactly what I was hoping for. Speaking of hills, there is a pretty steep hill to get up, yes--but with 4WD it wasn't really an issue for me at all. The sites are first come first serve and there was only my fiance and myself plus one other family that showed up several hours later. They were far enough away that we could barely see them. There's potable water and a toilet a decent walk from the site, but we didn't use either so I can't speak to those. Our interaction with the host was very minimal since it's self check-in and check out, but we didn't need anything other than the directions that were provided (which were very easy to follow). Overall I'd highly recommend this site if you're looking for some seclusion but don't want to drive hours away from the convenience Nashville area.

Absolutely beautiful property and perfectly peaceful. The sites were very spacious. The ground is pretty much all creek bed and rock so wear sturdy shoes and plan to bring your own toilet solution. There’s a camp toilet sitting over a pit but it’s not what most are used to or prefer. 10/10 would recommend and will be booking several more times.

What a great spot! The site and surrounding community are beautiful and peaceful. We spent several days here and worked remotely. The wi-fi was fast and reliable making this a great space for teleworkers looking for a dose of nature to break up the workday. We enjoyed long walks on the surrounding dirt roads and quiet nights around the camp fire. This place was everything we could have asked for!

It was great spot. You can hear some road noise but felt secluded. Pod was nice to look at. Electrical is pretty far away from the pad. 100ish feet. They provided a 30A extension cord for us. Not a problem as we have a 30A rig but if you need 50A bring an extension.

The entrance is off of Sam Downs Rd. Was a very quiet and secluded spot. The parking spot is fairly level and a decent amount of space. Right next to the highway, which we enjoyed hearing. Is also right next to their shop, but it wasn't busy last night. The electric box was wired for 50 amps, but the extension cords provided were 30 amps. The electrical box was about 100 feet from the spot. Water is available, the on/off is at the store. Very friendly host that came and met us when we arrived. Would definitely stay here again!

I've been using Hip Camp for two years, and this was by far the most beautiful place I've stayed. I was met by the hosts who helped me back in and make sure everything was ready for me. Perfect level pad with full hook-ups. Only 2 sites, and I was the only one there. Very peaceful with a really pretty forest with trails behind my site. I highly recommend this location. I hope to come back someday!

Perfect balance between staying on a really cute site, with a rural feel, while also having rapid access to Nashville and all it offers (and it offers so much). Off to the side (and across a small bridge) from a really attractive home the site is both private from it and benefits from water and electric hook up. The campsite neatly marked by solar lights making an after dark arrival very straightforward. And while we never met the hosts their App communication was excellent. If pulling a trailer I would approach from the direction the hosts suggest, as the second approach option, as backing in off the road is made easier from this angle. Anyhow, perfect spot which we would use again.
