After driving to South america and back in our Campervan we decided it was important for us to live deep into the nature. Only 8 miles from downtown this 100 acre woods os incredible. We bought the property from Mr Woodring that was born on the property in a shed! This land is virgin and untouched except for some trails and campsites :-)Learn more about this land:Just pull in and pitch a tent. No water or toilet just wild camping. Please take care of your trash. Please check where you put your tent there use to be some broken. Glass and debris but we are working hard to restore the area! Use the area that is near the road for 2wd vehicles. 4wd vehicles like Jeeps and such can try to go up the hill at the top there is a nice hill top. please do not go beyond the first hill top! We have water, septic and electrical hook ups (50 amp). This is a back in site. If you are not comfortable backing in, this is not the site for you! If you are staying over the colder months, we do not allow the use of space heaters. You must be using propane to heat. This is a farm and you are free to roam about in the front field around the camp site and watch the sunset, relax and simply enjoy nature. We are less than an hour drive to 4 different Tennessee State Parks and about 40 minutes east of Nashville. We do not typically allow dogs for long term stays We have had some confusion come up because people aren't reading the site specifications, so here is the most important. It is a gravel site, so it is not level. We do have cinder blocks at the site to help with leveling. The site is going to accommodate rigs 35 to 36 ft max However, you MUST be comfortable backing your rig. In the winter, it is dark here by 4:30-5. So if you arrive at that time you will be setting up in the dark. Make sure you are reading the rules and safety for what is allowed here.

Enjoy glamping in our optional 2017 19' retro style camper with a bathroom Just 35 minutes west of Loveless Cafe' in Nashville and 20 minutes south of the Dickson exit at I40. The 48 acre campground has just 3 big tent sites for more seclusion and is almost all old forest with wide trails and huge old growth trees. There is about a 1/2 acre of field to park in between the road and the creek if you don't have an off road vehicle. The rest is woods.
Mother Nature has a lot to offer when you cross the creek into the first two campsites that are on the 30' creek. One big spring runs through the middle of the 2 sites with small cascading waterfalls. Both sites have string lights and 120V extension cords. These two sites are separated by the driveway and about 150' apart but a bridge connects the two if you have another couple that wants to join you these two spots are perfect for privacy and companionship. Expand the pictures to a full screen as you scroll so the description will show up at the bottom of the picture. Not all pictures are on the property but describe close places to visit as well.
FIREWOOD: Split wood is available upon request and sold in the area (if it's available at the time) or any fallen dead wood from the forest is free. $7.00 for a 20" bundle. Please let us know ahead of time or order it on the site.
SITE 1: The nicer of the two sites along the creek, has granite counters, a round fire pit with a fold down heavy cooking grate, charcoal grill and a large wrought iron table and chairs. RENT A CAMPER WITH SITE 1 or BRING YOUR PERSONAL CAMPER: Our retro style 2017 option on the other side of the creek with stairs and stones to cross the creek. Sometimes the walking stones get washed out. 30 amp. 240 and 120 volt plugs. Click on additional fees for camper electrical hook up.
SITE 2: Also along side the 30' creek. There is a round steel fire pit surrounded with wrought iron chairs, a separate picnic table, granite countertop work space and a small grill. 2 fairly flat areas for tents. Set your chairs in the creek in front of your site. The clear cold water is a great place to relax and cool off or watch crawfish, minnows and salamanders and the occasional blue herron. 120V and string lights. Parking is a little tight unless you're in a Jeep of more off road vehicle that can park up the hill a bit.
SITE 3: "Still Hollow" is more private and located right in the middle valley of the property where a different spring fed creek runs down the wooded valley. There is no electricity but you can still enjoy the sound of small cascading waterfalls and a creek that runs along the side of the site for a relaxing sleep. There is a granite countertop, charcoal grill and a fire ring. A small round wrought iron table and 4 chairs are there for a place to eat lunch. The old moonshine barrels are still barely standing by the spring. This site is also accessed from the opposite side of the campground on Ben Fly Rd or Greer Rd for the serious off roaders. 4 wheel drive may be necessary but a Hyundai car entered through the creek in 2 wheel drive. It was dry though.
STAR GAZING for all 3 sites: There is a cleared area on top of a hill side for stargazing far from the city lights.
CHECK IN: Check in can be as early as like if the present campers have checked out. You can always hang out elsewhere on the property and start your day to explore and hike till they leave. Just let us know in advance. And you can stay all day the day of check out but you may have to pack up and park elsewhere if other campers need the spot. If not. Stay till dark.
PHOTOS: EXPAND THE PHOTOS TO A SINGLE VIEW! Some photos are of nearby attractions. You can see the description of each photo and which site is in the picture when you expand them.
VEHICLE TYPE AND PARKING: In order to drive up into the campsite, you may need a 4x4 vehicle but definitely need ground clearance. If you do not have a 4x4 vehicle or ground clearance, that is okay, park in the field and bring your water shoes for campsite 2. There are stairs and usually stepping stones to cross over to Site 1. Stepping stones for site 2 are coming soon.

TOUR THE AREA IN A CAN-AM: Check out 'Fisher's Off Road' to rent a really nice 4 seater CAN-AM machine. Drive around the local dirt roads for miles and learn the history of Moon Shine Alley, drive through many creeks and see some beautiful views. We took to tour with Fisher and it was a blast. This company supports the locals and cleans up the trash on the sides of the roads; a great service to the area.
FISHING: https://www.fishingworks.com/tennessee/maury-tn/lake/hooker-chemical-pond-d/ 30 minutes away are 3 small lakes, or very large ponds. I think it costs $5.00. They have small boats for rent as well.

This place is awesome, relaxing, and located in a great spot. Fishing on the duck river and the Williamsport twra lakes is amazing and only an easy 20 minute drive.
The property is clean, the facilities are amazing, and Melissa was super helpful and friendly along the way. There weren’t even many bugs which my wife was excited about. You won’t regret staying here.

We toured the different campsites with the owner, and wow! What a beautiful property with some unique features, to include several natural springs creating a small perpetually flowing creek. I camped with my two small children and old dog, and had plenty of shady room for all of us. There are numerous trails to explore with wildlife abound. At night I tracked 5 separate armadillo rooting around the hills... Very neat. In any case, we thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful stay and the owners were more than hospitable. Highly recommended and we WILL be staying again!!

Fabulous location! Chef Robert was very responsive, the spot was really well kept, and it was so nice to have a home cooked meal on our last stop! It was near the main house but felt private. There was a concrete slab, power, picnic table with umbrella and a fire pit with chairs. He had chickens and very friendly goats! We chose the smoked hot chicken and sides from his menu and it was wonderful and worth the extra add on!! The care the hosts give to make you feel welcome is evident. Will definitely be back if we are in the area! Highly recommend.

This spot was super convenient for our event we were attending in Downtown Nashville. Could not be easier to get in and our of. Level spot, next to a stream, fireplace and seating area. We were dry camping, but I think there was power and water. It's close to the road, but we didn't hear any road noise. Couple of bars on both Verizon and ATT.

The hosts were amazing, kind and friendly! It was a great spot to camp for the night. They were very accommodating. There was plenty of space and even things to do for kids if someone has kids. Highly recommend to anyone looking to stay here.

We had the absolute best experience staying at Jimmy’s place on HipCamp. From the moment we arrived, Jimmy and his wife made us feel so welcomed. They truly are the definition of Southern hospitality. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and then some.
Their property is honestly a hidden gem here in Tennessee. It’s one of those places you want to tell everyone about… but also keep as your own little secret at the same time 🤍
Jimmy even offered to take us out on their ATV to explore more of the property, which was such a thoughtful offer. We didn’t have enough time this trip, but it just gives us another reason to come back and we absolutely will be!
This has easily been our favorite place we’ve camped so far. There are so many great aspects to this spot, and you can tell how much care they put into creating such a special experience.
We’re already planning our next trip back!

19 ft rooftop tent
The area was kept up very well and felt like I was at a luxury camp ground. The group glamp area is perfect. Access to run around, showers, picturesque fire ring with chairs. If I am ever in the area again I will stay here and hopefully with friends next time!
