Our location is phenomenal we are an hour from Knoxville and Asheville and just about 1/4 mile off I-40. Right at the foothills of the Smoky Mountains and 35 minutes from Gatlinburg about 40 minutes to Pigeon Forge (Dollywood), also about 45 minutes to Sevierville and one of my favorite Tanger Outlets!! The beautiful Smoky Mountains the National Park is filled with hiking trails and horse stables and trails. Some of the best white water rafting is less then 5 miles up the road along with zip lining and a lil taste of moonshine here and there.
This property is primitive with no electric and has a camping style bathhouse. IT’s recommended for outdoor lovers and people that are not too needy. Hurricane Helene brought unforecasted changes in the land but the tranquility of the River remains. We have worked to restore as much as we could. As for us it’s still our happy place in the Smoky Mountains!

Our 300 acres has seen cattle and tobacco over the last century, and featured in the Christy book series in the early 1900's, before falling into neglect. Stories abound of moonshiners and cock fighters reveling in it's isolation.
Purchased with a dream in 2004 we have slowly recovered the original fields, and developed our own trails, linking in and out of the Cherokee National Forest.
From grassy lowland skirted by creeks to ridges of hardwood timber, our farm, now home to our artisanal herd of beef cattle, is an idyll away from the bustle.

This is a very large private site with no other campers. We provide a large amount of firewood. If you require more wood than supplied there will be an additional $25 charge. We also provide a fifty five gallon drum of water for washing and a five gallon container of drinking water. We have an outhouse that is sanitized prior to your arrival. You will have access to two swimming areas on Big creek where you can float or just take a dip and cool off. There is a small “Snack Shack” where you can purchase eggs, ice, candy, ice cream, snacks and drinks. We are located at the foot of Rocky Top mountain with scenic trails accessible with off road vehicles or four wheel drive vehicles. My Family and I absolutely loved our stay at Mark's property..The Creek and Swimming area were great and there is also alot of Great area's to Adventure around near by(we had our 4 wheelers and side by side(YES, Plenty of room to park your vehicle with a trailer)Just be Curtious!..Mark is a very pleasant and helpful host and really wants your stay to be a good one..Great personality!! He has a very nice and well stocked Snack Shack for Ice, Candy, Soda, Chips, or even a cold Ice cream on a warm afternoon, which was nice after Hiking around or Swimming..My Grandchildren loved to walk down and visit Marks animals as well.. We will definitely be returning visitors in the future!!

We loved camping at this site! The facilities were very clean and well maintained. The host was very nice and welcoming. The bed and tent were comfortable as well. We particularly enjoyed laying in the hammock and enjoying the peace and quiet. Would recommend!

Though listed as a primarily RV site, we tent camped. The grass was cut low so we had no problem setting up. The views are incredible and the area is very quiet. The road behind the site has almost no traffic because there are only a couple more houses up the road. John and Jenni were great and, it turns out, own another site we stayed at last year! Sit by the fire, watch the mists roll in and out, and enjoy the long-range views!

We loved our trip to the moutain view! The goats were so friendly and the views were stunning. Having the shelter was an added plus as we got some good rain on our second day. No issues with flooding and we got the most beautiful smokey mountain views from the storms. That night we even got to watch the horse field fill with fire flies so early in the season 😍🏕🌄

The directions were very clear and this spot was a true gem! We had great interactions with the staff working on the farm while we set up camp and got to greet a few horses. The facilities were working and it was a very fun experience, even in the rain! We felt very safe and had a wonderful time. As a young couple new to camping, this is a great spot and I would recommend it first everyone! Families, experienced and new campers looking for a change of scenery, friends, couples, solos, etc!

My wife and I spent three nights here for a little get away, and it was amazing! Wood was available on site for purchase, the bath house was in good shape and the campsites were clean and easy to find! The host was INCREDIBLE! We had an issue with our vehicle battery, and they came to save the day! We will be returning in the future and we highly recommend camping here!

I dont know where to start on how wonderful my trip was. I arrived and Mark helped me set up my tent (I was there alone with my three dogs) and also helped me set up a run line for them. Dogs are allowed off leash so I took advantage of that too. There is endless space to explore and its quiet and private and beautiful. There is endless miles of creek to explore and one spot is great for swimming (dogs and people). The water is crystal clear. The views from the field at sunrise and sunset are breathtaking, and Mark and his wife go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and have what you need. They even gave me five more gallons of drinking water. The bathroom is also super clean too. I spent an entire day sitting by that swimming hole with my dogs alternating between drawing, reading, and swimming with the dogs. For almost a week I felt my stress melt away and didnt have an ounce of anxiety and was so happy and relaxed. I will 100% be back here again and again.

We had an absolute blast on Carrie's property. It was private and expansive with plenty to do. The firepit was perfect for cooking and sitting around. Plenty of space for tents and activities! The hosts were incredibly kind and provided everything we needed to have a wonderful stay. We will definitely be returning.

this land and host was gorgeous. she gave me farm fresh eggs which i thoroughly enjoyed. it was serene and quiet and safe. thanks for your hospitality and ill be back on my next drive through!
