Each site has a fire ring, water for the fire and camping potty. It is as close to wilderness as you can get without being in the wilderness. Enjoy the stars at night with no streetlights to distract you from the constellations and the song of crickets, whippoorwills and owls. Located on a mountain this accessible camping spot is just 30 minutes away from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Also close by are rafting outfits and hiking locations in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Beautiful easily accessed secluded primitive sites, up on a mountain with 45 acres of Appalachian forest land. The road up is about a half mile of gravel road that is in good enough condition for the clearance of most cars if you have questions about it please ask! Front wheel or all wheel drive is recommended. *Pet friendly and implore you to be responsible with your pets. Even though they aren't visible, there are neighbors, keep them with you at the campsite-not roaming the neighborhood. *Trash- pack it in, pack it out.  *Bathroom-This is a primitive site. A camp potty in a privacy tent is provided. Total nature, total privacy. You will be far enough from the nearest homestead to feel completely alone in nature with a panoramic view. There are people close enough that if you dropped/lost your phone and broke your leg some one would eventually hear you. The best of both worlds! Earthstar Village is a place artists, those seeking spiritual solace or just wanting to get away from any hustle and bustle. Retreat to a mountain forest environment in the heart of the Smoky Mountains. Vast views for contemplation, trees and woods for wildlife and nature. This site is currently being renovated to have a glamping cabin on it. The cabin is there, but not finished. Campers do not have access to the cabin yet, but there is still plenty of space for tent camping and parking. Total nature, total privacy. You will be far enough from the nearest homestead to feel completely alone on top of the world in nature with a view that's to die for. There are people close enough that if you dropped/lost your phone and broke your leg some one would eventually hear you. The best of both worlds! It is as close to wilderness as you can get without being in the wilderness. There is a fire ring. You can harvest wood at the site or purchase additional firewood from us. A barrel of water is on the site for putting out campfires. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Located high on a mountain this accessible camping spot is just 30 minutes away from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Be at one with Nature in a truly natural environment. This is a beautiful easily accessed secluded primitive spot high up on the small mountain on 45 acres of Appalachian forest land. The road up is about a half mile of gravel road that is in good enough condition for the clearance of most cars if you have questions about it please ask! ****If road conditions are wet, the driveway to the campsite might be too slick for most cars or two wheel drive trucks. Parking in that case is st the bottom of the driveway with a 100 foot walk up to the campsite. *The spot is actually a flat house site without a house, making it a wonderful place for a campsite on the south face of Dixon Mountain. *We provide a drum of water for fire, and a fire ring *We are pet friendly and implore you to be responsible with your pets. Even though they aren't visible, there are neighbors, keep them with you at the campsite-not roaming the neighborhood. *Trash- pack it in, pack it out.  *Bathroom-This is a primitive site. Creekside is a small campsite perfect for two to four people, deep in the forest, lower on the mountain down by the creek. Private site for that middle of the woods feeling. Tent camping and space for up to two vehicles. Outdoor fireplace with water for the fire provided. Camping potty in privacy tent. Accessible to front wheel drive, all wheel drive or four wheel drive vehicles.

Ivey and her site are absolutely top notch! She is such a kind, genuine soul. We are very novice campers with poor time management skills and Ivey was so forgiving and sweet. She truly just wants people to get outdoors and to experience nature, and she has the most amazing land to do so. We did her plot up on the mountain and it was gorgeous. Super secluded, you have a lovely view of neighboring mountains and just the serene nature all around. Ivey provides you with a camping toilet, toilet paper, a barrel of water, fire pit, firewood, shovel, hacksaw, and there were acorns on the ground so she was courteous enough to give us a broom to move them out of the way! Will be coming back, love Ivey and her gorgeous land! Would highly highly recommend!!

Ivey was very welcoming and accommodating, even provided a bit of dry firewood to get us started while the ground wood dried from the recent drizzle. The creekside site itself was lovely! It is perched cliffside just above the creek with a very gentle slope, it is very private. Soil is shallow with shale rock beneath, steel stakes and a hammer recommended. Loads of pollenators and a handful of amphibians!

Intimate site with incredible view

Our stay here was private and exactly what we wanted. The view is amazing! Looking out to the smokies and the morning fog makes it appear you are camping above the clouds. There are a few benches provided at the site which we did not expect and were pleasantly surprised as they did end up coming in handy. Hosts also provided firewood and jugs of water. The site is perfect for a couple or even group of 4. A very intimate space we spent as a couple with our two dogs. There are a few options for groceries about 20-40 minutes away with the popular sites also nearby but away enough to feel very private and secluded and IN the mountains. We absolutely recommend this site and plan to visit again!

A great, secluded spot near Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Lots of privacy–this is a single campsite offering so you’re the only people there. Some things to note: The dirt road up to the site is off the beaten path, a little overgrown and STEEP. My Jeep could handle it but I imagine any other vehicle will have trouble. Ivey was a great, kind host and we LOVED waking up every day to have coffee with these cliff-side views. However, the site is a bit overgrown and would benefit from some trimming of the surrounding greenery. Bring your own firewood, we were provided some but not enough. Overall 4.5/5 stars. Would definitely stay here if I ever return to the area, but remember that this is a bare-bones rustic site where you’re hauling in everything you need.

Good stay overall. View from the site is great, I would recommend walking up if you have a smaller car as I scraped the bottom of mine making it up and there is a little cleanup needed at the site. Host was friendly and welcoming.

Ivey was an incredibly responsive host. As it can be difficult to find it, she gave detailed instructions and was really helpful by text message. The view from this one-site campsite was beautiful. You really are on the top of what feels like a large hill overlooking the Smoky Mountains. You are alone at a site that's well stocked with wood, fire ring, and views for days. I highly recommend you check this spot out, even for just a night if you're passing through.

Our site was up a few hills just make sure your vehicle is in good shape. The site was BEAUTIFUL, MOUNTAINTOP VIEWS!! Fire pit with benches and plenty of wood.

Legit area with amazing views! Make sure your vehicles can travel up some steep tight turns up hill. Where you can actually park is just right down from the site. Not a bad hike up to it. Did have a black dog travel into our site and get into some food though but not too much ha friendly dog though! Ivey is extremely nice and wonderful and shows you how to get right to the site.

Tucked away in the hills outside of Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, Ivey's land is a wonderful retreat from the crowded commercial area of the smoky mountains. Ivey met us when we arrived and led us up to the campsite, which is a short (steep!) drive from the main house. The site was secluded w/ a great view of the mountains, plenty of firewood and fresh spring water provided for the two of us. We had a clear sky during our camp, made for great stargazing at night. Nice spot to set up camp and go off to hike and explore the surrounding area. Ivey was a great host, communicative and friendly, felt safe on her land and knew she was available should any emergencies arise. A couple of notes - If you come when it's raining or damp, you may not be able to make it up the final stretch of road to the site depending on your vehicle. Be prepared to walk up some supplies, otherwise, it's a car camp, our truck made it up fine on a dry clear afternoon. - Host provides plenty of water for drinking, washing up, and fire maintenance. Rake and shovel also provided. - don't forget your bug spray! A no-brainer for camping in the mountains

The host and family are extremely genuine. it was a little hard getting back to the spot as not a lot of the brush was cleared, but it was dog friendly and secluded. there was a nice view but some of the smaller pine saplings blocked a portion of it. If it was opened up a little bit it would be great!
