They shared their enjoyment with us, and we realized how much we enjoyed knowing they were down there camping. The view from your RV is acres worth of a working farmland surrounded by mountains. You might catch a farmer driving his tractor down the road, a person on horseback or a team of cyclist bike pass by. But you never know what surprise the sky has in store! The farm provides a portable toilet but no other amenities. Campfires may be restricted, so check local regulations. This is a working farm, so please be respectful of the crops and workers and keep dogs on leashes. Fishing is NOT allowed on the river unless you have booked a trip with one of our guides. Please note, if it’s rainy the roads will be muddy and 4-wheel-drive vehicles are the best option.
Head 4 miles east to the town of Mills River for restaurants, stores, and services. You can find hiking, biking, and horseback-riding trails within a short bike or car ride in Pisgah National Forest. Chimney Rock State Park is 25 miles east and offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountain scenery. Or perhaps go for a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Fortunately, we are a quarter of a mile from highway 64 that leads to everywhere, as in hiking, kayaking, mountain biking etc. We are centered between Pisgah and Dupont National Forests, Panthertown Valley, Bracken Mountain Preserve and Gorges State Park. We are in the heart of the cyclist route for all the major road bike races and less than 10 minutes from downtown Brevard, NC.

Sleep under the stars while listening to the river run while staying on a working farm! During the summer months watch our vegetables grow and the pickers pick! The winter months you'll enjoy a sea of green as our cover crop takes over the field.
You can cool off in the river or check out the surrounding Pisgah National Forest. Dogs on leashes are welcome and owner is responsible for cleaning up after pet.
The farm provides a portable toilet but no other amenities. Campfires may be restricted, so check local regulations. This is a working farm, so please be respectful of the crops and workers and keep dogs on leashes. Fishing is NOT allowed on the river unless you have booked a trip with one of our guides. Please note, if it’s rainy the roads will be muddy and 4-wheel-drive vehicles are the best option.
Head 4 miles east to the town of Mills River for restaurants, stores, and services. You can find hiking, biking, and horseback-riding trails within a short bike or car ride in Pisgah National Forest. Chimney Rock State Park is 25 miles east and offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountain scenery. Or perhaps go for a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

The Confluence campsite is situated on 21 acres between the north and south forks of Mills River. This serene campsite borders native trout water and an an additional 45 private acres that have been passed down in the Brittain family since the 1790s. The upper and lower meadow provides canoe, kayak and fishing access to South Mills River.
(Please respect the privacy of neighboring property across the river.)
This very private campground is a five minute drive from Pisgah National Forest and 10 minutes from the Asheville Airport and the Sierra Nevada Brewing company.
Four-wheel-drive is recommended for rainy weather.

Vicki and Vicki’s land were wonderful. My buddy and I came from up north for some mtb and exploration around here. First time for me and I was blown away by all of it. Best of all was Vicki’s property when the day was done. Quiet, incredible spot. Well kept, just great vibes overall. The on-site amenities were spot on, and the shower came in clutch after a long ride at Berm Park.

3 nights at Peace Of Pisgah
I enjoyed glamping at site #2 on Vicki’s property. There was a sturdy tent w/cot, air mattress, sleeping bags, chair, picnic table, a fire pit w/a couple chairs, potty bucket with sanitizing spray, soil to cover & hand sanitizer and all of this was backed up to a lovely creek. Location only a few minutes from Pisgah. Felt very safe as a woman camping alone and private. Vicki was warm & welcoming! Down falls were few but could be dealbreakers for some including traffic noise at all hours (earplugs were included although), tear in screen of tent (not an issue for me since few bugs & cool in evening), no trash service and no running water for drinking, cooking or washing hands but there was a hot shower (but I did not use). I was also very cold my first night using summer bags provided, so suggest bringing cooler weather bags for camping outside of the summer months. Finally there was a burn ban which prevented me from going on the trail I planned to hike and having a campfire, both disappointing but not in Vicki’s control.

Mike and Kelly were responsive and super easy to work with. I stayed at the far out site, which is worth the short hike to have a spot on the river. Some of the best sleep I’ve ever had camping… I think the sound of the river helped. Felt like I had the whole place to myself. Looking forward to staying here again when I get the chance.

We met one of the hosts, Mike, as soon as we arrived. He was incredibly welcoming and even helped us carry our gear down to the campsite. The location by the river was beautiful. It had all the allure of backpacking into a remote site without any of the effort. I'd recommend this spot to anyone looking for an easy but authentic outdoor experience

The place is a dream come true! First camp of the season and we couldn’t have asked for a better place or better hosts! Ray and Shannon were amazing! Very welcoming and helpful! The bathhouse is super clean! The location is BEAUTIFUL! Tons of room for our dogs to run around and they have a hiking trail that takes you around the property. 10000000 out of 10 recommend! Best part was the stars at night and free fire wood. We used a lot because it was 30 degrees at night! We will definitely be back 😁

I really enjoyed this spot by the river! The perfect amount of space for our tent, a campfire, a charcoal grill, and a small SUV. One site could easily fit 2 more tents and maybe 2-3 cars.
We absolutely loved being right on the river. Casted the fly rod most of the time, but I think it was too early in the season for trout. Still, my husband and I plan to come back!
The campsites are all spaced out nicely—2 are directly on the river: one behind where we stayed, and another to the right. You could easily have a bunch of friends and family all stay together if you booked them together.
Also, those 3 sites share a well-kept outhouse.
Fortunately, we were the only ones there at the time, so we got to explore the river’s edge and check out the other sites. Can’t wait to book again!

This is a nice little campground just 30min north of Travelers Rest! We camped one night and we had a great time. Tent site #1 was nice and large. The table is larger than in the photos. The campground is well signed. The bath house looks new and is very nice. Would stay again!

This was an absolutely beautiful, quiet spot. We loved hearing the creek next to the cabin, the bunks were comfy, and we enjoyed the mountain bike trails, hike to the waterfall, sauna, and cold plunge. Would definitely come back to stay!

My family had a wonderful time camping on Maggie’s land! We pulled up and had a beautiful view of Paris Mountain. There was ample flat surfaces for tent setup. We enjoyed walking around the trails and had a bonus surprise of there being a little playhouse and sandbox that our 2 and 4 year old played in all evening! We will absolutely be back!

Beth and her husband have created a perfect camping sanctuary in a convenient location between Asheville and Brevard. My husband and I brought our 16 month old and two pups here for our first attempt at a camping trip with a baby and we loved it. We were lucky enough to be the only campers and loved how peaceful and comfortable the land felt. Beth was super friendly, communicative, and helpful during our stay.
