More mountain biking at Ride Kanuga and Ride Rock Creek downhill mountain bike park 15 minutes away. The 7 mile paved Ecusta Trail from Horseshoe to Hendersonville is open, several miles away. Big Rock has a fire ring, 2 picnic tables, and its own pit latrine. A seasonal spring (Oct-July) is available on the property and a small stream, Piney Branch, that runs year round, drink at own risk (see map). There are two marked hiking trails. Please use the map to stay on property. Green Haven is centrally located 20 minutes between Brevard and Hendersonville. DuPont State Forest is 25 minutes away and it includes hiking, mountain biking, and waterfalls. Boaters will find the French Broad River, Horseshoe Bend, river access less than 10 minutes. More mountain biking at Ride Kanuga and Ride Rock Creek downhill mountain bike park 15 minutes away. The 7 mile paved Ecusta Trail from Horseshoe to Hendersonville is open, several miles away. Nearby breweries include Mills River Brewery and Bold Rock Cidery 15 minutes away.

Site 4 is pretty secluded, which was great for bringing the pups, and Hayden was friendly and very attentive to anything that came up. The two outhouses are clean and well maintained. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Christy’s place suited my needs perfectly, I was just looking for a place with basic amenities to get out the cold for one night before starting my backpacking trip. Two things I wanna mention though, if the temperature is dipping below 40°F make sure you have a warm enough sleeping bag or quilt because the little heater they have in there didn’t do much at that temperature, and secondly, I just had a 2 wheel drive truck and the driveway is very steep getting in and out and I was barely able to make it so just keep that in mind. But otherwise, it’s a beautiful place on a beautiful property and I would have loved to stay another night. Only took me about 15 minutes to get to Brevard for some dinner.

I loved this site! Super beautiful with the trees and river. There's ample room for 2 vehicles and 2 tents. No picnic table which would've been nice, but we brought our own and it was ok. The fire pit was nice as well. The river bank was steep so not easy to get in and out of, but I think there's a boat ramp somewhere. I would definitely love to stay here again, overall a really nice spot

We loved tent camping at the Far Out space! It was very secluded - we never saw anyone else! There was plenty of down trees for firewood and great flat spots for our tent. Mike was super helpful when we got there - he made one trip when I got there and another when my husband got there with the ATV. We were nervous about the 5-8 minute walk and not having our car right there but with Mike's help it was very doable! We will definitely be back!
