Let’s start with the list of what I didn’t like: 1. the toilet paper roll was on backwards Now for things I loved: 1. there was toilet paper 2. there was a toilet… 3. in a very nice bathhouse 3. the trails were perfect for our dogs 4. the hot tub was super clean 5. there was convenient power I could go on. It was a really nice site, not far from a convenient store, but with ample privacy and many glamping features. Definitely a great choice!

I loved the view of the mountains! They have provided so many very useful things for camping! Water! Shower! Shelter! Rain or Shine this spot is so sweet! Hot tub was so 😌 relaxing! Firewood provided. Very clean and quiet! Absolutely an amazing experience! Waterfalls everywhere!! Trails to hike!

I'd like to start by saying this is such a great spot, secluded and right on the water! It feels like your hidden in the woods but still very convenient to grocery store and restaurants downtown. Mike and Kelly were very accommodating and even helped us get our things down the short hike in and out of the campground, and offered to loan us any utensils or necessities we may forgotten.

I actually messed up my own schedule and booked this camp but did not stay! The photos look beautiful and I intend to rebook in the future!

This is probably my favorite hipcamp ever! We arrived late at night (10 pm) and had absolutely no issues finding the campsite and the adorable string lights really helped with setting up our tent. It’s the most gorgeous spot right on the river, and so quiet and secluded while being really close to town. The bank down to the river is quite steep, but it helped keep our dog from swimming all day. I can’t wait to come back!

This site was very private from the other two. We have a reactive dog and it was so nice to just watch him be a dog in the woods. Would definitely recommend this campsite <3

Would definitely recommend this site. Peaceful and serene to camp there. The host was very friendly to chat with and made sure we were all set with electric and water. We were able to dump our RV which is always a plus.

3 nights at Camp Moondog

We camped at the fern gully site, beautiful site 180° view of the flowing saluda river.. also caught some bluegill and a little bass. Now this site may be a bit of a trek for some and a little tip, when it rains . It pours.. be wary of that slick southern clay. it's completely secluded! Just you. the river. And nature! Also just minutes to downtown Greenville. And a short drive to Paris mountain.. Caesars head and table Rock State parks!

Nothing beats a campfire & magical yurt.

Weekend Trip to Outercamp, Blue Ridge Falls Retreat

It's been a week since my stay at Wild Fairies, and I've thought about it every day. It was exactly the peaceful break I needed after a hectic few weeks. Truly a serene place to get away and spend some quiet time with nature. I even saw a bear just past the shower! Plus a few turkey and plenty of birds enjoying the Spring weather. The yurt was just gorgeous. Everything I could've possibly needed was provided. I was kicking myself for leaving my binoculars at home, but there was even a pair in one of the drawers! The bed was comfortable after a day out on the trails, and the outdoor kitchen area was perfect for cooking up meals to enjoy on the porch. Thank you, Evan, for making and sharing such a lovely place!

What an outstanding stay! Dana has done a tremendous job making everything perfect- from the place itself (gorgeous) to the personalized touches. If you’re in the fence about staying here, do it!! You won’t regret it at all, and it’s beyond worth the price!

The perfect retreat right on the river, the hosts were great, making us welcome then leaving us to enjoy. Our pup has a new favorite spot to retrieve in the water. And five minutes away Buffet Latino was serving a full Puerto Rican buffet at 9 am! The perfect exit!

It was our first time camping and it was a great experience from the beginning. Mike came to welcome us and show us the place around which was really nice. The space is great, the view is amazing, it’s crazy it’s so close to the actual city and you actually feel far away like others have said already. You can hear the nature, we didn’t see any animals, the river was super nice too. In general a great experience that I would 100% recommend.

This location was perfect for a spontaneous camping trip from Atlanta! The site is beautiful and has amazing trails, views, and parks nearby. This is my second Hipcamp experience with Indian Creek Rental's Mountain Camp and I will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Stillhouse Creek Cabins

Lovely and peaceful! My partner and I both have *very* different ideas of camping and this spot was the magical blend of both worlds: It was perfect for me (who loves the peace and quiet, waking up to birdsong, relaxing on the patio in the trees, petting farm animals, disconnecting from my phone/society while reading a book or hiking in the woods) and my partner (who loves amenities, wifi, fridge, shower, TV, AC/heat, running water/shower, potable water). We both adored the hammock and the hot tub. We will be back! 💙

Weekend Trip to Meraki Escape

By far the best place ever stayed. Perfect place for relaxation. The breakfast Chef was amazing (Megan) and the dinner by the waterfall was absolutely perfect with Chef Amber Highly recommend them both. The cabin is absolutely perfect and down to every feature and the shower incredible. The amount of care this place offered was 10 star for sure. Will be staying again. Dana and David are so nice and make this place the best place for relaxation.

It was a nice private spot with lots of branches to make a fire. The river is right nearby which is very nice. It is a great camping spot that is very convenient given how close it is to town.

This is a wonderful spot to camp. Highly recommend! The hot tub is clean and well maintained. (I am a nurse and a germaphobe). The view is beautiful! I have a teardrop camper and the bathroom was so nice. There is a lot of great hiking close by. If you are on the fence, go ahead and book the site, you won’t regret it.

This property is located right across the river, or a short 5-minute drive to Dolly Cooper State Park that draws in disc-golf enthusiasts and park explorers alike. Camp moondog is only a 10-minute drive from the world-renowned Downtown Greenville, a destination known for its excellent restaurants, festivals, shopping, and social scene. Being situated so close to the city-center means that food delivery is just a click away, and running out for that last-minute necessity is a breeze. This is a unique opportunity to get “off the grid” without having to make those ‘off the grid’ sacrifices. At Camp Moondog, our philosophy is to offer a carefree, clean, natural environment for a relaxing camping vacation experience. This no ordinary campground. Pause is an adventure that will feel like you are exploring your own private mountain nature reserve. Aramesh is 120 acres of Blue Ridge heaven with something for every wilderness adventure seeker: unmatched mountain views, lush old growth forests, babbling brooks, and miles of trails for all skill levels. The property starts at 3700 ft altitude, with summit at 4500 ft on the Glades mountain ridge. We have only a few campsites on the vast property, so the wind in the trees and birds will be all you hear. Come and stay with us and be renewed! IMPORTANT: 4WD or AWD is required to access our property. There is a sometimes steep and windy gravel road into Pause. Please make sure your vehicle has 4WD or AWD before you book. Campsites: They are 3/4-1/4 mile from the entrance. Some are accessible by 4WD. There may be some vigorous hiking involved, but the views are worth it. The pads are various sizes. Let us know what the needs of your party are and we can help you choose from the available spots. We also have several more remote “off-menu” sites for those seeking a backpacking adventure - ask for more information if your are interested. Hiking: There are several miles of trails on the property. They range from an easy slope to very strenuous. The entire property is fenced so you won't easily get lost. Your climbing efforts will be amply rewarded by stunning views, especially at sunset. Trail maps are available upon request. On-Site Amenities: we provide a clean porta-potty and running water that is spring fed. We ask that you follow "Leave-No-Trace" procedures during your stay. Off-Site Amenities: If you choose to explore the area : we are a 10 minute drive from I-40 Exit 24. Asheville is 45 minutes away; Waynesville is 25 minutes away. Presnell's Grocery (highly recommended, family-owned store that sells locally farmed products) is 10 minutes away from the property entrance. The Ingles supermarket in Canton is a 15 minute drive. You will find every kind of fast food in that area. There are also several excellent local dining options in Canton, Clyde, and Waynesville which we are happy to recommend to you by request.
