The Cove

1 site · RV, Tent1 acre · Charleston, Charleston
Is the James Island County Park full, or want a little space? Then we invite you to park your camper, or pitch your tent at The Cove. Enjoy beverages on the dock, or launch your paddle boards and kayaks for a tidal creek adventure. There is, on average, 2.5 hours of navigable water on either side of a high tide. So a total of 5 hours on the water, or even longer depending on the moon cycle. Bike the family to a number of restaurants, including Chick-fil-a. For the adults, there are many establishments to grab an adult beverage as well, all within bike/walking distance. James Island county park is a literal mile away, only a minute drive to the waiting adventure. Downtown Charleston and Folly Beach are both only a 10 minute drive. The Cove is located on a 1/2 acre in a residential neighborhood. Thank you, and hope to see y’all soon.

We have a 3/4-acre pond with its own island which we have affectionately named "Goat Alcatraz." There is a dock with a draw bridge to the island, where many of our ducks and geese can often be found. Our pond can be fished from shore and is well stocked with Brim (Blue Gill), Largemouth Bass, Catfish, Crappie, and Tilapia. Our sites offer full hookups- electric, water, power, sewer and wi-fi. Sites 1 & 2 are 30 amp, and site #3 is the largest and has a 50-amp hook-up. We do have adapters for 50 amp to 30 amp if one is needed. The tent sites do not offer electric or water but do have access to wi-fi. Please note that there are no bathroom facilities available on site. We are 1 mile away from the Coosaw Boat House &Landing. Friendly Fowl Farm

3 sites · RVs, Tents12 acres · Saint Helena Island, Beaufort
The farm was once a portion of the McTureus Plantation.  Tony's family members were once enslaved on the plantation. Upon Emancipation a family member bought land and it remained in the family.  Tony is a descendant of those family members whose foresight allowed us to be here today.  Tony's parents entrusted the care and preservation of the property to us and we are doing our best to be good stewards and teach the value of this property to our children and young grandchildren.

Edisto River Retreat

6 sites · RVs, Tents25 acres · Round O, Colleton
Ian's background is in art, public education, and exploring the outdoors. Growing up in the Lowcountry of South Carolina allowed for endless opportunities to explore and foster an appreciation for the outdoors. It is the peace and tranquility of the wetlands, and the time spent with family and friends in these unique ecosystems, that always brought me comfort and wonder. It was in June of 2019 that dreams of having my name attached to land became a reality. Since the contract was signed; family, friends, and I have been developing the property and programming classes and adventures to share with those who seek them. We have developed several unique sites to share with you and will continue to improve as we foster our partnership with the land and share its bounty.

RV camping near Folly Beach with campfires guide

When you visit Folly Beach, it's clear why Charleston residents call it the "Edge of America." The South Carolina beach town has it all—the Atlantic shoreline on one side, a maze of coastal waterways on the other. It goes without saying that kayak, and canoe rentals are notoriously easy to find. Camping near the beach means savoring one of the top surfing spots on the East Coast. When you're not catching waves, cast a line from the fishing pier. In the afternoon, comb the beach for shellfish, or bust out your binoculars to watch migrating whales. Just inland of Folly Beach, James Island County Park is a popular home base for campers. Campsites with full hookups are just steps from 16 acres of freshwater fishing lakes. You also find a crabbing dock and miles of paved hiking and biking trails. Nearby Folly Beach County Park is a no-camping zone. Still, locals love the sandy stretch for beach lounging and Pelican watching. South of Folly Beach, you find more coastal tent camping options. Check out Edisto Beach State Park on Edisto Island to breathe in the salty sea air from your campsite. Sleep on the shores of an Atlantic beach, or pitch your tent at the foot of a salt marsh teeming with wildlife. Looking for a place to park your big rig? There's a host of RV parks in Folly Beach and nearby Mount Pleasant. With so many marshes, rivers, and bays, camping near the water has never been easier.
