There are 3 campsites and one cabin located in the gap of the little Mahanoy Mountain and line Mountain range along the little Mahanoy creek. All four campsites have creek access and come with picnic table garbage can and fire ring and Firewood is usually available. There are two Porta potty‘s one located at each end of the sites. There are trails for hiking which extends along an abandoned railroad bed and also up into State game lands and into the deep woods. The hiking in the woods is on an incline. But the hiking on the railroad bed is pretty unintense. There is parking at each site. The sites are spread out along the creek bed ranging from more of a rustic primitive tent camping on site 4 to an open site on site 1.

Well its not much of a farm, Rather a secluded grass farm field with goldenrod at the foot of the Elizabethville mountian. It is only 1.8 miles off the Route 25 approximately 1/2 hour drive north of Harrisburg. It is down a dirt road through the woods. At the edge of the field is the woods of the mountian. It has a small stream flowing throgh the woods. Not alot of light pollution so you will be sure to enjoy the starry night sky. Close to alot of neat placed and things to do.

The area has a thriving Amish community (We can help you connect to a Amish family) with alot of little roadside stands . Plenty of unique shopping experiences, Flea Flickers, Hornings Country Market, Colemans Miltary Surpluss, Hoovers Market, Shops on Main and More. Walmart and fast foods only 8 miles.
There is wildlife , You may see deer wander through or grazing near by.

The White Squirrel Properties include a cabin, rental pavilion and camp site. The camp site sits at the top of a hill and provides a secluded flat site to pitch your tent or park your van/truck camper/truck top tent.
You will have this space to yourself.
The view is breathtaking - you have a gorgeous view of the Susquehanna River, numerous sets of mountain ranges, and you are surrounded by beautiful fields. There is a rustic picnic table and a more modern high top table set with an umbrella, for your use. We have also added 4 hammock chairs that you can relax in while enjoying a glass of wine. There is a wooden platform with a small structure on it. You can stand underneath the platform and it can provide some shelter, if needed. (The structure is being renovated for a new experience next summer.)
The pavilion is a short walk and has 2 bathrooms, a shower, and a kitchen. **The kitchen is only available if the pavilion is not being rented**. There is an additional fee to rent the kitchen. The 66-acre property has been licensed as an airport (PS20) since the 1980s. It is currently an active, private airport. We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. In other words, it is very quiet here except during the occasional low pass. We are very eager for pilots to fly in and camp out! The beautiful sunsets and stargazing night skies are a real treat for anyone that comes to visit. Lots of deer, birds, and other wildlife can be seen out and about. Bring your telescope and binoculars to view all the property has to offer! Note that we are always working to improve our slice of heaven, thus we do have tools, vehicles, and equipment stored around the farm that if not used now will be one day. We appreciate your understanding that some areas are used for our personal / farm storage. If you're not into looking at our farmware, there are a few nearby campgrounds.
The hot tub is located next to the owner's home. Guests are welcome to use this at any time but must reserve and pay for a time slot. * Book this through the Extras *
We are within walking distance of Swatara State Park and close to the Appalachian Trail. Short drive to the local winery, bowling alley, pub/diner, and movie theater. Grocery stores and gas are also nearby. Miles of hiking, rail trail, single-track mountain biking, and kayaking are all right here! See our kayak and bike rentals under extras!
Hershey Park is approximately a 30-minute drive from our location. Rausch Creek, Anthracite, and Reading off-road areas are also nearby.

The camp sites on our farm are dry (for now) but we DO have a toilet that is cleaned regularly right by the sites. We have three leveled gravel RV/Camper spots, which are large compared to most campgrounds. The sites are pull through for most RVs and Trailers. We provide fire rings but no wood. Our farm is an operational farm with livestock and you will be camping right by our horse pasture. Our location is convenient. We are right off of I-81 and State route 22. Minutes from Hersheypark, Hollywood Casino and Penn National Race Course, The PA Renaissance Faire, as well as Ft. Indiantown Gap and Memorial Lake State Park. If you are a hiker, the Appalachian Trail is minutes from our farm. Our sites are easy access off the main road. We are in a friendly agricultural neighborhood with very little traffic or noise other than the light hum of I-81 in the distance. Wildlife is plentiful in our area and you can hike from our farm to Levitz Community Park (or drive if you prefer) to interact some great nature or have a picnic. Greene Kitchen Farm has been farmed by the Greene family since 2013. If you step back in time a few owners, the Kitchen family with 8 boys and a girl farmed the land that surrounds the little tributary to Montour Run. The Greenes have been pasturing the majority of the land in nature's image with an eye toward biomimicry and an agro-forestal, savannah landscape. The herbivores pulse through the landscape with flocks of birds following them.
Since the livestock have been fenced out of the creek, a little jewel of a wildlife refuge traverses the farm from northwest to southeast. Great stay! The cabin was exactly as described and offered the perfect escape from the crowds. The interior was cozy with everything you needed for a stay regardless of timeframe; Theresa was incredibly communicative and welcoming. I especially enjoyed the secluded atmosphere of the cabin and variety of unique animals on property. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for serenity and a unique experience. I can't wait to visit again!

The small cabin I stayed at was very nice and simple. I loved bird song in the mornings and transparent side of the roof. The site is secluded and easy to find at the same time. There was a plenty of fire wood outside and blankets inside so nights in thirties were quite manageable and even enjoyable. And don’t miss the opportunity to get breakfast if it gets offered to you, it was outstanding experience for small additional fee.

My husband and I always do rustic tent camping, but I’m 22 weeks pregnant so was looking for something in between. I felt like this place was what we were looking for!
PROS: Private site, weather proof cabin, bed, firewood comes with the site, and the $10 breakfast that is available is AMAZING.
CONS: Can slightly hear noise from the highway/road (some moments louder than others.) We are use to being deep in the woods when camping, so I think that’s why it was a con for us.

This was a perfect spot for a weekend getaway. Quietly tucked alongside the creek, the rushing water lulled us to sleep each night.
Mark and his family are kind and considerate, checking in on us and making sure that we had all that we needed for a great stay.
Simple site perfect for primitive campers, close to great hiking and some quaint towns with quirky antique shops and other spots.

Bill and Erin are excellent hosts who really make you feel welcome. The location is facing the goats and cows, who are curious and friendly. You get a great view of their antics from the fireplace area outside. The other side of the RV faces empty fields and full of wildflowers and little groves of trees. It was so peaceful.
The RV was perfect for my three person family, but there was definitely enough sleeping space for more wirh rhe queen sized bed, bunk beds, and surprisingly comfortable couch. While located close to the hanger and the bathroom shared by all campers, the RV has its own bathroom with a little shower. There's a full kitchen, a grill under the storage compartment, and a full gas grill separate from the structure.
I would definitely stay again.

This was indeed a gorgeous spot. I loved the trails around the area and the relative ease of getting to the location. Very peaceful and private. Bathroom with running water was nearby; no working shower (or at least I couldn't find it in the dark).

This site was awesome! Gorgeous canal with rushing water, nice firepits, and she even allowed us to jump on her trampoline! the cows are adorable and it was altogether an amazing experience. It is someone near a main road and the railroad but that did not bother us, it still felt very private.
