Sunnyday's farm and forest was a Christmas tree farm in the 1950's. I've owned it for the last 30 years and it is now a horse farm with pastures and woods. Great for hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking. 1.5 miles from Deer Lakes park which has fishing, hiking, mountain biking, frisbee course and a great playground. The Allegheny river, judged to be one of the cleanest in the country, is just 6 miles away. Harrison Hills park offers great hiking along the river and an occasional river otter. The Rachel Carson Trail and Baker trail are just a few miles away. It is a secluded log cabin in the woods on top of a hill overlooking a pasture. It is a very primitive cabin with a fireplace, brick floor, large porch, fabric interior and no chinking in the logs. We provide a bunk bed and cots and 2 picnic tables.. There is a large grassy area in front of the cabin for tents. There is no vehicle access, no electricity and no water at the cabin, but LOTS of downed wood for fires. There are horses, goats, chickens, ducks and a pig that roam the pastures. The cabin is about 300 yards from the parking area up a fairly steep hill, but the location is worth the walk! If you're stopping with an RV or trailer we have ample parking near the road and have overnight accommodations for horses Great place for a stopover.

1 night at A-frame rustic cabin

This was the absolute perfect place for me on a long road trip, this cabin has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It's secluded but the hosts aren't far if you need anything else in a snap. The cabin itself and the surrounding area is so beautiful! It was nice to watch the sun rise from the comfort of my bed. J&T are very responsive, and even went out of their way to mail me a pair of earrings I left there, couldn't recommend this place enough!

This was a perfect getaway with plenty space to setup a tent or hammock. It's also only 15 minutes away from a store if I forgot anything. Kate supplied plenty of split wood, picnic table, chair and bench. The view was amazing and I will definitely be back again!

Weekend Trip to A-frame rustic cabin

My dog Teemo and I had a wonderful stay at Jim and Tracy’s A-frame cabin. They really thought of everything when putting this place together. When I arrived after dark, I wasn’t sure I was in the right spot and had spotty service, but Jim showed up within minutes and even started a fire for us while we settled in! The cabin had all the necessities for a cozy weekend — plenty of firewood included, a warm bathroom with a handwashing station, and even a guitar, which was such a nice touch to play by the fire. There are a couple of dollar stores nearby for snacks or produce, which was really convenient. Teemo and I were very comfortable and appreciated how thoughtful and responsive Jim was. We will definitely be back!

West field tent is a wonderful site. The hosts are friendly and responsive, and the farm is beautiful. It was perfect for a little getaway from Pittsburgh. I hope to be back again soon - thank you Jen for your kindness!

This was the most beautiful and peaceful experience! My kids had so much fun feeding the horses and meeting all the animals after our long drive. Renee was the absolute sweetest person and made us feel so welcome and comfortable. I would highly recommend.

Take one of the kayaks out for a spin on the pond!

Very easy to find, well kept, quiet campsite by the creek. Though the weather was quite cold, I really enjoyed my stay at Muddy Myst. The trails were easy to navigate and the pond was beautiful! Can’t wait to come back in the warmer months for a dip!! Can’t thank you enough Liam enough for the complimentary coffee- much needed after waking up in 30 degrees!!! Will definitely be back:)

Absolutely loved this place. My husband and I stayed the weekend to explore the area for our final trip for the year. The cabin was so cozy,we did have our air mattress with us just incase I was unable to sleep on the futon but was surprisingly comfortable. We were exploring most of the time but getting to see and pet the horses was amazing. Thank you for opening your home to us.

Weekend Trip to CHERRY VALLEY CHILL

I had a great weekend of camping. The cabin was clean and very comfortable. The wood burning stove provided the perfect amount of warmth. I enjoyed the sounds of all the wildlife outside the doors. From the geese to the pack of howling coyotes, to all the farm animals in the area. Tim had the outside fire pit already set and the inside stove as well. He made sure we were stocked with more than enough wood for the weekend, and messaged me to make sure I still had enough wood. The outdoor porta potty was very clean and a very nice perk from our normal camping locations. It was also nice being able to let my dog run free all weekend. He enjoyed that very much. I highly recommend this site and will definitely be coming back here again!

1 night at CHERRY VALLEY CHILL

We were warmly greeted by host with fire blazing in fire pit & woodstove! Plenty of firewood provided. Very appreciated on a cold evening in Nov! Beautiful site!!! Can’t say enough! Loved all of the lights, the pull down platform was great for our folding mattress, even a charging station for our phones, plenty of room for ourselves & our pups. The outhouse was convenient & clean. Felt very private. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Muddy Myst

This was our first stay at Muddy Myst after looking at it on Hipcamp for a while now! With the state parks closing it was the perfect time to try this place out, and it was amazing!! The hosts were amazing and made us feel right at home! Falling asleep listening to the creek all night was also amazing. Will definitely be back!!
