Suncatcher Homestead

1 site · Lodging3 acres · Azalea, OR
Suncatcher is a creek-side small farm & homestead located 3 miles east of exit 88 on Interstate 5 in Azalea, Oregon. We tend to an established fruit orchard, veggie gardens, and a small flock of egg laying hens. We are inspired by permaculture practices and are always working on turning the property into a food forest with an off-grid guesthouse and lots of fun natural building projects. The yurt has a queen sized loft bed with organic cotton sheets, organic cotton comforter with duvet cover, a woodstove, and a folding mattress. You are also welcome to bring your own sleeping gear. There is a wood stove for the winter months, a solar powered refrigerator, a propane stove and oven, along with a sink, and kitchen countertop space. We provide plant based dish and hand soaps. There is a composting toilet. We make and sell refined sugar free fruit jam along with produce and sprouted + stoneground nut butters at local farmer's markets. All of our farm goods are available for sale. Be sure to ask about orchard raised fresh eggs, seasonal fruit jam, and sprouted nut butter. We are located just 4 miles down creek from the Galesville Reservoir and about 1 1/2 hours from Crater Lake. The site is easily accessible. You will have a view of the pasture, gardens, greenhouse, orchards and the host's private residence.

Charelston - Space Bell

24 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents40 acres · Coos Bay, OR
The intention behind naming this land The Cloud, is in honor of the atmospheric connection to land that is provided here. The Cloud, is currently in the process of becoming a retreat and eco village for guest to come experience. While still curating the space, the land is being brought together with a passion for saving trees and their priceless ecological function. The large Spruce trees that cover the land, stand with strong branches covered with magnificent green needles. These needles collect water vapor from the air, offering water droplets onto the ground. This process has provided a vibrant natural habitat. The Cloud is an intentional space, where those on the land are invited to become mindful, and connect not only with the land, but with themselves.

Uneven Ground Farm

2 sites · Lodging131 acres · Myrtle Creek, OR
The best thing to do is look over our website. This is more of a homestead than a typical farm. We have 131 acres of mixed pasture and old forest. We have sheep, pigs, chickens, ducks, and one nasty alpaca. We sell sausage and bigger cuts of meat at the farmers market and supplement our animals with produce from the garden. Tucked away in this quiet little valley, we practice regenerative farming using organic and biodynamic practices. The house is powered with solar and everything except plastic is composted. Nights are quiet aside from wild fox cries and the occasional bleat of the sheep. The stars come out because we don't have light pollution. The creek babbles on.....and so do I. If you are looking to just relax, maybe have a great conversation, or hang with some animals......this might be a perfect match. Cheers.Learn more about this land:This is an elevated platform up in our woods which overlook the farm. Right now we have a hundred plus sheep, Icelandic's, roaming around, and thirty or so piglets who are growing fast. We have hiking but prepare for poison oak. Nearby we have wineries, the Umpqua river, and if you don't mind the drive....the coast.
