GeerCrest Farm was settled by the Geer family in 1848, and is still owned and stewarded by the family. The house Ralph and Mary Geer built in 1851 stands and is one of the oldest in Oregon to remain in the same family.
The farm features creeks, forests, pastures, orchards and gardens as well as the historic buildings. Currently we have four friendly sheep and a small flock of Mallard ducks to keep us company. The Pioneer Memorial Orchard features over 50 vairieties of pre 1850 apple trees. The Heritage Grove has ten fruit and nut trees that were recognizeds as a memorial the the early pioneers of the nursery trade by Oregon Heritage Tree program. The 20 acre property, offers three tent camp sites Including the Tree House site, as well as two forest cabins and a small forest bunkhouse (sleeps 6).
Our peaceful, small farm offers a reflective immersion in nature and history among the occasional quacking of ducks and baaas of sheep. The scenery from all corners of the farm is incredible - a favorite is the westward view of the valley pasture at sunset -- called "Homer's View" after famous political cartoonist and Geer descendant, Homer Davenport. No matter which camping site you choose, the sounds of the creek, pond frogs, or conversing owls are sure to lull you to sleep.
Feel free to roam the farm, but always leave gates as you find them, open or closed. Please say hello to our sheep and barn cats (they may say hello first). Explore the Heritage Grove of historic trees, the Memorial apple orchard and pear glade with varieties circa 1840s, indulge your senses in our medicinal herb garden, and chat with our farm family while they water the veggie gardens, if you so wish! Your experience will certainly be unique to the season.

Permits provide access to forty acres of private timberland property. The waterfall is 205 yards from the end of the road. The last 80 yards is down a medium to easy grade hill. More about the property:
- This is a regenerative farm, just starting. Last season I focused on chickens- for flocks (egg layers for backyard chickens) and freezers (meat birds- available for your camp dinner). Some cows and sheep roam the front pasture and my goal is to grow their numbers to be able to improve the soil health here at the farm.
-My tiny home is in the area of the sites, but far enough away to maintain privacy. Otherwise it is a private and secluded area. Because I live on site, I will not allow repeat visits if groups become rowdy or disrespectful.
-There is ELECTRICITY and WATER on site for 1 RV. The electricity is through a standard household outlet so an adaptor will be necessary, and possibly an extension cord, depending on where you choose to set up. An outhouse with a composting TOILET and sink are available, but no shower. However, in winter months, the sink will be turned off to protect pipes. Water is still available from an in ground frost free spigot.
-There is a FIREPIT for evening musing, don't forget your marshmallows. Firewood is available on site for $10/night with an unlimited supply (or free if you want to gather downed limbs).
- There is an old hay wagon converted into a covered picnic area that I call the COWZEBO for shade or for rainy days. Enjoy a meal here with a great view of the river.
- FRIENDLY DOGS are welcome. Know that my dogs also hang out here. If your dog is aggressive or timid, please consider other accommodations.

Jsm Ranch started in 2004 when we moved from Oregon City.
This once was a working farm with two chicken barns and a meat locker barn. All had fallen into disrepair before taking ownership.
In 2007 we planted 200 trees and 100 shrubs to build a new fish and wildlife habitat along Woodcock Creek. We then focused on building fence along the Molalla River to protect water quality.
From there, we started raising Black Angus in 2008 after spending four years cleaning up the fields to make it safe for animals. We strive to be good stewards with our land as we continue to work with Clackamas Soil and Water to make better working lands.
You're only minutes away from the town of Molalla to grab a bite, groceries or other camp items. Also have Molalla Rodeo just 3 minutes away on

1. The campground with a kitchen and hot/cold potable water and 20 amps of power. Includes 3-4 picnic tables and a covered stage area with power. This can hold 8-10 large tents comfortably. Price includes up to 10 people. Children under 12 are not counted and are free (except to their parents).
2. Tiny Creekside cabin has no power and a queen size bed with bedding and towels included. Sleeps 2 with about 120 SF (tiny) includes 150 SF covered deck. You may add tents around the cabin but must add the guests under extras so you pay for additional tents/people. No kitchen with cabin. This site has a private fire pit.
3. Creekside RV - retro trailer newer looks like a 50's diner. Has fridge, stove top, microwave, electric hot water kettle and Air Conditioning. This is a nice addition to the other sites due to the AC and fridge. RV is parked next to creek across from campground. The toilet is not connected (please use Portable toilet next to trailer).
4. A cabin in the trees 12'x20' with queen bed and all bedding included. No Kitchen in the Cabin, The cabin includes a picnic table, fire pit, hammock, and outdoor bench and chairs.
No Electricity.
All sites have shared access to hot showers, portable toilets, and potable water next to Outdoor kitchen and dinning area.

Me and my husband, Sotero, are from different continents. We met in Portland, Oregon, over 25 years ago. Being able to communicate in five languages gave us the opportunity to interact with people from various cultures, try new foods, and learn about new history and experiences. We love seeing the world, with our favorite destinations being Mexico, Dubai, and Canada. Also, we love camping and decided to create a little private camping ground and farm lodge for people who wish to camp without huge expense. We try hard to make each guest’s stay wonderfully memorable.

More about the property:
- This is a regenerative farm, just starting. Last season I focused on chickens- for flocks (egg layers for backyard chickens) and freezers (meat birds- available for your camp dinner). Some cows and sheep roam the front pasture and my goal is to grow their numbers to be able to improve the soil health here at the farm.
-My tiny home is in the area of the sites, but far enough away to maintain privacy. Otherwise it is a private and secluded area. Because I live on site, I will not allow repeat visits if groups become rowdy or disrespectful.
-There is ELECTRICITY and WATER on site for 1 RV. The electricity is through a standard household outlet so an adaptor will be necessary, and possibly an extension cord, depending on where you choose to set up. An outhouse with a composting TOILET and sink are available, but no shower. However, in winter months, the sink will be turned off to protect pipes. Water is still available from an in ground frost free spigot.
-There is a FIREPIT for evening musing, don't forget your marshmallows. Firewood is available on site for $10/night with an unlimited supply (or free if you want to gather downed limbs).
- There is an old hay wagon converted into a covered picnic area that I call the COWZEBO for shade or for rainy days. Enjoy a meal here with a great view of the river.
- FRIENDLY DOGS are welcome. Know that my dogs also hang out here. If your dog is aggressive or timid, please consider other accommodations.

GeerCrest Farm was settled by the Geer family in 1848, and is still owned and stewarded by the family. The house Ralph and Mary Geer built in 1851 stands and is one of the oldest in Oregon to remain in the same family.
The farm features creeks, forests, pastures, orchards and gardens as well as the historic buildings. Currently we have four friendly sheep and a small flock of Mallard ducks to keep us company. The Pioneer Memorial Orchard features over 50 vairieties of pre 1850 apple trees. The Heritage Grove has ten fruit and nut trees that were recognizeds as a memorial the the early pioneers of the nursery trade by Oregon Heritage Tree program. The 20 acre property, offers three tent camp sites Including the Tree House site, as well as two forest cabins and a small forest bunkhouse (sleeps 6).
Our peaceful, small farm offers a reflective immersion in nature and history among the occasional quacking of ducks and baaas of sheep. The scenery from all corners of the farm is incredible - a favorite is the westward view of the valley pasture at sunset -- called "Homer's View" after famous political cartoonist and Geer descendant, Homer Davenport. No matter which camping site you choose, the sounds of the creek, pond frogs, or conversing owls are sure to lull you to sleep.
Feel free to roam the farm, but always leave gates as you find them, open or closed. Please say hello to our sheep and barn cats (they may say hello first). Explore the Heritage Grove of historic trees, the Memorial apple orchard and pear glade with varieties circa 1840s, indulge your senses in our medicinal herb garden, and chat with our farm family while they water the veggie gardens, if you so wish! Your experience will certainly be unique to the season.
Your host Jim Toler represents the fifth generation of the farm and will happily share stories of the farm and it's history.

Loved this place. We rented the entire place for 7 of us and it was perfect! Melanie was super friendly, but really stayed out of our way and respected our privacy. The river access was right next to camp, and there was lots of area to spread out. The lounge chairs by the river were a great touch.
A few things to note for future campers:
-there is only 1 firepit, so if you don’t rent the entire space, it’s possible you will have more limited access to the pit, or will have to share.
-Melanie’s house is right in the middle of the hipcamp area. At first we were skeptical, but with it being a working farm, she was rarely home, and when she was home we barely noticed. It was not an issue at all
-the dogs are lovely and got along great with the pups we brought
- I can only make this comment for the time we were there on a weekend in mid September: there is a possibility there will be gunfire in the immediate vicinity. Hunting season is near, so this may have led to an increase, but there was very loud gunfire all day Saturday. The neighbors range was likely 200yds from the firepit. There were also people shooting just across the river. Obviously Melanie has no control over this, but I wanted to make people aware in case that would be an issue for them.
Even with the gunfire, this place is still a 5/5 and I would recommend to groups large or small!
Visiting all of the chickens/turkeys and sheep was a great bonus!

Great spot to stop by the river. Not hard to find, close to town, and lots of amenities. If able or available I suggest sites 4-8 they have a much better view of the river. I had site 3 which was fine for the price. It is right next to the common area and showers so expect some traffic and visitors. Very clean porta potties scattered next to the sites. Lights strung above the sites was a cute touch. (shut off at 10pm) Also have 24 hr vending machine- i didn't use but thought it was handy for a soda or candy! I also suggest looking at the extras available.. next time hoping to do the retreat experience. Saw my neighbors getting ready to soak in a trough right at their site overlooking the river..how cool!

Site 1: It is hard to describe how GOOD THE VIBES were here. Peaceful, quiet except for the sounds of the many birds nearby, walking trails, several points of access to the river from camp. Private and comfortable, they provide wood with a small fee and it is as much as you need. The “Pyramid” was perfectly rustic and unfinished inside, a bit damp perhaps but with a concrete floor, two small windows that open and are screened, a secure front door, AMAZING VIEWS thanks to the large unique windows, it was a very pleasant surprise and we stayed in there all four nights of our stay. Very cozy! Lori stopped by to introduce herself and was very kind about my dogs who bark and the fact that we had two foster dogs who were weary of new people and animals. The privacy of this spot cannot be overstated but should be noted, you can hear the road nearby in the distance and airplanes fly far above but both were barely audible. Fishing was ok, probably better if you know what you’re doing, I am a lifelong novice! Four days flew by. Seriously considered just staying forever 😅💯

This is the best place I have ever camped at and I have camped at a lot of places. We pulled our motorhome right up near the river and had access to electricity and water plus use of a compost toilet. This spot is way out in the country on a beautiful farm with chickens and turkeys and sheep, and the river is the perfect swimming spot with perfectly clean water at just the perfect depth with not too much current and all the peace and serenity you could ask for our dogs were in heaven, running free on the property, making friends with the resident dogs. Our host was so accommodating and helped us with every single thing we needed, which turned out to be quite a few things because our hose was broken and we had a lot of questions. She was so accommodating and friendly. We will be back. In fact, I think this will be our new home away from home.

The sheep were sweet. We loved petting them. They liked the massage too.
The cabin was cozy. We woke up cheerful each morning because of the good sleep we got.
The mattresses & sheets were of excellent quality.
The treehouse was cool to explore. My children giggled while on the treeswing. A delight!
We enjoyed reading Narnia and roasting s'mores by the campfire.
The orchard was a great place for a hammock to read while kids played.
The ducks were so pleasant.
The barn cat was a darling.
The views of beucolic farmland transported us to imagine life 170 years ago.
It was my first time with a compost toilet and the fresh wood chips worked well.
We loved the crickets at night.
The hot water at the camper kitchen was a bonus.

I absolutely loved our spot in the orchard! It was a quick weekend getaway with my wife and two dogs and we had the best time. The space between the trees was big enough for me to back up our camper solo (wife was arriving a little later) and there was enough room for our small slide out. The fire pit was spacious and the picnic table was very large! The outdoor shower was so refreshing, and having flushing toilets and an indoor shower option were also nice amenities. The goats and horses were super adorable and the pay by Venmo treat option was cute and the goats are well trained to come say hi when you near the treat spot. We never interacted with a soul but the layout and signage was so easy to understand we navigated it as if we’d been there before. We will certainly be back for more tranquil time. Cell service (AT&T) was not great, but navigable. As long as you aren’t streaming or needing to work from the property, it shouldn’t be an issue.
