The Whiskey Run mountain bike trails are a short drive away and are truly world-class trails. The Sunset Bay State Park has a huge trail network that spans the cliff line all the way from Sunset Bay to Cape Arago. Chuck’s Seafood in Charleston is a great spot to pick up local seafood. This campsite lies about 1 mile from the pacific ocean at about 15 feet elevation so it will be cooler than inland camp sites. I believe we are the closest camping to the south side of the Blacklock Hiking Trails. Also next to the Cape Blanco State Airport. (call if you want to fly in and get transport to and from the campsite). Access Road is a single lane in and out (gravel, dirt, and grass). Any towed trailers need to be pulled by a 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicle to climb back out (in and out procedures for trailers will be provided) Bring a fishing pole or a kayak. Sea-run trout are in the river during the summer (no motorized vehicles allowed in the Sixes River by law. No motorized vehicles in campsite besides automobiles by rule.) - Please be accurate with the number of guests in your party. Please note about lack of signage: The "walters landing" and "92220" on airport road are the only markings to indicate our entrance. We don't want to put any "campground" signs to avoid curious trespassers into the property (we only want invited guests). Campsite Rules: 1. Enjoy. 2. No motorized vehicles besides your auto. 3. We have a large Koi pond and garden area that we love to share with visitors if requested. There is 1 large area to camp depending on the size of your group and how many self contained Vehicles/RV's. The main camping area has enough room for about 2 large RV's or 3 smaller RV's depending on the size.  We like to allow for turn around room and pretty much let you set up camp however you like.  There is some overflow parking if needed across the property near our shop for an additional $5 charge per vehicle which we can discuss.  We do not have a toilet facility, so you must be self contained.  Pricing is $60 per night per RV.  We are approximately 1.8 miles from Hwy 101 across from the Myrtlewood factory in Hauser.  We are close to the dunes and Horsefall beach.  This is dry camping with water available via hose from our house if needed.  Fire season may be in effect depending on the season. (See restrictions.) If you do reserve with us, please make sure you reserve according to how many RV's in your group.  Please be courteous when making reservations and try not to cancel last minute. If you have additional questions, please call or send me a message. Learn more about this land: Happy Bears Camp would really be suitable for those passing on I-5, who want a quiet place to park for the night. We are only one mile from I-5 (mile marker 80). Heading North on exit 80, there's a sharp 25 mph off-ramp on a downhill -Take it slow! There are lots of reservoirs, and a few rivers in the general area. The closest Reservoir is 12 miles away. Crater Lake is two hours away. The Pacific Ocean is 2 hours 15 minutes away. Closest river is less than a mile. You will cross it on the way here. There is lots of BLM land with dirt road access in the area. There is hunting in the area. The tiny town of Glendale is three miles away, (one route is safe for bicycles). There is a Grocery store, bank, laundry, three restaurants, two gas stations and a bakery. There are also two parks in town. One has a Frisbee golf course. Easy RV parking in town. On the way here, you will pass one of the restaurants and gas stations with a lot big enough to accommodate the largest RV. On the property: You may walk around. There aren't any trails and the undergrowth gets thick quickly under the trees. There is a fire break to walk, that circles the meadow. This will give you access to the trees. If you walk up the right side, our neighbor's dog will make a ruckus as you pass their house. Don't worry, just noise. At the top of the meadow, is a lovely view over this part of the valley.

From the South GPS is very accurate to our driveway. Coming from the North, GPS may drop you a few driveways away as that is the property line. Keep driving about another 1/8th mile until you see the large red "Cornerstone Ranch" sign. That is our driveway. Welcome... The ranch offers 7 different campsites and a Cabin. Campfires are allowed (outside of burn bans), and there is a flush toilet in off season and additional Port-A-Potties during the summer on site as well. When we woke up we got to visit with the horses, use the really clean port-potty, and chat with Bonnie and Chris the Hosts. They have tons of recommendations, but our favorite was the Indian creek cafe across the river. The areas so great and clean and the host cares about their guests! Would recommend!"

This place is awesome. Super quiet and calm. Ducks and chickens dubbing around the vineyard is fun to watch. Had a wine tasting with Marc and loved then wine so much we bought four bottles. Site was clean and level and nice to have a shade canopy from the sun. Would stay here again if we're in the area for sure.

we arrive to the area in the late afternoon and it was so great that Nicole got right back to us to reserve a site. We loved the open meadow and incredible views and quiet. Nicole and Brian son greeted us and was super friendly and helpful.. super easy to get to from 101 and yet far enough for quiet.

Absolutely beautiful campground. It is a quintessential Pacific NW campground. Owners are very kind and take immaculate care of their property. You can walk to the beach, as well as hear the waves crashing as you sleep.

Weekend Trip to Honey Bear by the Sea

We had such a blast and look forward to booking again! Honey Bear staff were all super friendly, the grounds were gorgeous, and the amenities were truly impressive. Our family can't wait to come back and bring our bikes and spend more time hiking around the property. We really enjoyed being able to walk to the beach- that is a huge plus that we haven't been able to experience before.

We loved our spot at Prosper Bluff mainly because we had so much space between us and any other campers. We also loved the fact that it was just a couple miles to ride our bikes into downtown Bandon. Our host was exceptionally kind to us as well.

This place is amazing. A hidden jewel in Bandon. Views are amazing. There is a path down to the dock located on the river. Blackberries were in season & they were delicious. If you are a golfer BANDON SANDS is just down the road, a world class golf course. If you like riding horses on a fantastic beach ride BANDON STABLES is just down the road. Wonderful place & lovely hoat. Highly recommend

Great site! Brian met us and helped us find our spot which was plenty wide and very comfortable. He even provided wood for our first fire. We were right next to the dog park, which was perfect for our pup. The beach was a short walk or drive away and the campground was very well cared for. Would absolutely stay again.

The site was wonderful! Very peaceful, quiet and private. Super easy and chill arrival and set up. Full RV hook ups provided of water, sewer, and water are a rare find. Plus the host shares WiFi! Beautiful scenery of the vineyard, grassland, hills. Lots of wild birds, and ducks and chickens. There is a wonderful lake (Ben Irving reservoir) about 10 minutes away where we paddle boarded. There is a store just a couple minutes away. We’ll be going back!

I hesitate to leave a good review because then too many people will learn how great this campground is and it will be harder for us to get a reservation. But, goodness wins and I declare we loved this campground. It’s not the best if you want to do tent camping alongside trailer camping— the sites are fairly small, but if you are just taking your trailer, this spot is sweet. Close to the beach, close to town, clean, well run, friendly and responsive staff. We’ve been twice during July 4th holiday and be warned… the fireworks at the closest beach are LOUD and they go until past midnight.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Beach Bound Resort. The location was perfect with views of the ocean through the pines from our camp site. The area was clean, well laid out and maintained, beautifully landscaped, and very close to the beach and local state parks.

What an absolutely beautiful place. So peaceful and so relaxing. The drive-in was perfect. The directions provided very easy to follow. Parking on site #1, looking out over the river was easy and leveling out was not a problem. We had the river to one side and open field to the other side. Quiet and peaceful but the mosquitoes were enjoying it as much as we were. (They were pretty intense at times.) It was a great place to have our dog and we appreciated everything about the site. Very easy to get into town and do anything else that you want to do. We never saw Nicole & Brian, not even sure if they were there. We were told to call if we had any questions and we didn’t. When in the area again, we would be honored to stay again.

Overall grade: A- Really well kept up/clean. Excellent wifi!! Even when it was fairly full, it was very quiet/peaceful. Bathrooms/showers were clean with continuous hot water. Things I would update: Offer garbage bins along with all the dog waste bag sites. Especially in the designated dog park. (There is one area with dumpsters that you have to walk to.) Get some new street signage as the current ones are all sun bleached and not readable.
