When I closed my Glamping Business in Big Sur, CA, in 2016 I was looking for a new place to call home and the universe told me to check out Southern Oregon. Being German, I fell in love with the Applegate Valley because it reminds me of the German Alp Region of Algovia ("Allgaeu"). We are a tiny community here on my 7 acres of land including a couple of sweet dogs. My favorite spot ever since I discovered this property has been the barn and I have finished renovating it during Covid Lockdown. I am looking forward to hosting people who love nature and the quiet, who would like to unplug from the urban bustle and who have a passion for design and unconventional living spaces. Come park your camper van or trailer on my 7 acre property. I am an Interior Designer and have converted the former mule Barn into an Outdoor Summer Living Space with dining room, living room, kitchen and patio. Attached to the barn are an outdoor shower with hot water as well as a composting toilet.
Al Fresco Dining, Showers in the Sunset and occasional outdoor movie nights are waiting for you here on the Hill in the beautiful Applegate Valley.
If you play the guitar, feel free to bring it along, we have had fun times with small gatherings in the evenings on the patio.
Please note: I live here and so you will see me around daily, usually I tend the gardens or you can find me around the barn. However, I will respect your privacy!
The dogs who live on the property are usually free roaming and they will for sure come visit you, they are all friendly. I am emphasizing this, because if you are scared of dogs, are not used to dogs or do not like dogs, my place (unfortunately) might not be the right spot for you :-(.

We have 5 acres of grass and conifers, with madrone and oak and big leaf maple throughout. There are alders and cottonwood by the water. The main house is at the top of the property. We have several fire pits and places to camp in tents, hammocks, or RVs. We have delicious well water and fire wood stocked.
We are a large family of colorful people and animals living a little up river from the merge with the Rogue River. We are open to animal guests, but there are free range chickens and cats, as well as small children on the property.

The site is set away from people and immediately adjacent to the water, sure enough slept well with the sound of the gurgling water. Plenty of free firewood.

Basically a safe place to park. Yancy was communicative and helpful, There was a nice grass area to pitch a tent. I felt safe and secure. There were ttwo horses in a pasture adjacent to the spot which was nice if you like horses like I do. The only mild issue is the traffic noise. This is a semi urban campsite so it was to be expected. If you have an RV I doubt it would be an issue for ya. I was in a tent and was quite comfortable wearing ear plugs.
