The Whiskey Run mountain bike trails are a short drive away and are truly world-class trails. The Sunset Bay State Park has a huge trail network that spans the cliff line all the way from Sunset Bay to Cape Arago. Chuck’s Seafood in Charleston is a great spot to pick up local seafood. BBQ some oysters on the grill or pick up some fresh fish and enjoy the bounty of the coast. This wooded getaway offers privacy and a bit of room to stretch out with family, friends and pets. Located just off of HWY 38, only minutes to Reedsport and the 'Gateway to the Oregon Dunes'. This almost 7 acre parcel encompasses a beautiful valley of coastal wetlands where you will enjoy approximately 1 acre of leveled camping space with two 30 amp hookups and potable water on site. In addition, we provide 4 comfortable Adirondack chairs, a picnic table and a fire pit. You are also just minutes to the very convenient Town of Reedsport dumping station at the corner of HWYs 38 and 101. You will find anything you might need in town, from groceries to fishing and crabbing equipment. Truly one of the most beautiful areas of the Oregon coast, activities in the region abound. Crabbing and fishing are centralized in Winchester Bay, about 10 minutes away. You are also located very near the mouth of the mighty Umpqua River, one of the best salmon fisheries in the state. Easy access to the coastal dunes is available up and down HWY 101 both North and South. Winchester Bay offers the closest entrance to the dunes where you can ride atvs and 4x4s and permits can be purchased in town. Stunning options for hiking, biking and mushroom hunting surround you here on the central Oregon Coast. With rainforest on one side of HWY 101 and coastal dunes on the other, there are many opportunities to explore different types of forested areas and trails. Wildlife enthusiasts are just minutes away from the Dean Creek Elk Viewing wildlife recreational area on HWY 38. This large herd can be seen daily grazing in the meadows.

Honest solo traveler review: DD’s little piece of paradise is a perfect place to rest your head! I’m so lucky to have found this beautiful and safe place to set up camp - the view in the morning was absolutely spectacular! Her spot isn’t too far from a gas station, a pub and has service!!! Tim's place was absolutely amazing, the endless possibilities and beautiful sounds and views 😍 we will be back. The sites where way bigger than we expected, we had plenty of room for all of us. It was so nice. We could hear the Elk and sea lions all night and the morning before we left we seen some whales just a couple of minutes down the road. It was an experience.

About 20 minutes drive . Charlatan is the closest town - Millers Cove - crab Louie Salad ! Coffee on the corner and Davey homes locker if you forgot anything ! Weekend Trip to Creekside Retreat At Triangle Lake

I’ve been looking for a camp spot next to water for a very long time, and not only did I find it, it exceeded every expectation I could have. From the very first email to Brooke, to checking out Sunday morning waving bye to Tom our weekend at Creekside Retreat was incredible. The campground is stunning, beautifully maintained, and packed full of activities from board games to hiking to a waterfall. The hosts have taken their hearts and souls and embedded it into this retreat and it shows through all the details. Not only will this be my favorite spot forever, it’s the one I’ll be telling everyone about. Thank you for the best weekend away! The appreciation I have for Brooke and Tom for what they have done here is unmatched. If I could give it 10 stars I would! Thank you, thank you!!

Weekend Trip to Smith River Store & Tavern

Beautiful location on the Smith River with easy access drive-in site in my van. Each site had a picnic table. There is a small store with food items for sale but not much remained although my visit was at the end of the fishing season. Well stocked bar with plenty of brew selection. This Hip-camp is 15-20 minutes from Reedsport which is a good location for any needed business in the city of Reedsport. I will definitely stay here again when I visit the area.

This place was a tucked away gem. The site is easily accessed, has plenty of room for vehicle and trailer and is quite gorgeous being surrounded by woods. Was wonderful to hear the surf and access to beach was close. Only drawback was road noise since it’s close to 101 but benefits outweighed that minor intrusion since the surf sounds often drowned out cars. Would highly recommend this for a one or two night stay since you have to bring your own water in.
