*Please read FULL site description and rules before booking so you know what to expect and what is expected of you!* 'Royal Heart Hill' is at the very end of a Dead-End road, which means no sound or light pollution from passing cars or nearby residences. Surrounded by BLM and Timber properties, while being 6 miles from downtown CG (7 miles from the I5) and 30 miles from downtown Eugene. All guests have access to the outdoor shower, which is connected to the Dome. Please use biodegradable soap in the shower! Potable water spigots are located by the carport and at the top of the steps leading down to our platform site. Each site has its own composting toilet, fire-pit, electrical outlet and hammock. Nearby access to: two lakes for swimming and fishing, waterfalls and cliff-jumping, hiking and biking trails, dining, wineries, breweries, shopping and more. I am happy to offer suggestions and share what I know- please ask! UPDATE: The timber acreage that borders our property- to the west and north of Overholser Road- was harvested winter 2024. The property consists of Oak savanna, mixed conifer woodland, camas meadow, undulating hills and a SMALL pond (home to many rough-skinned newts- no swimming or fishing). At our domestead we practice permaculture, native habitat restoration and regenerative forestry. Poison oak is present on the property! I have done my best to clear it from camping areas and trails. Tecnu is provided in the outdoor shower. There is a mile long loop that goes around the whole property, which we keep mowed and accessible. Hipcampers are encouraged to use the loop to explore the property. To access- walk south/downhill toward the pond signs and follow the mowed path through the meadow and back up toward the road, which will take you back to your campsite. I have included a screenshot of the loop as recorded by my Strava app, which is in the property photos. The property hosts a geodesic play-dome and slack-line (during the dry months) up by the green dome/outdoor shower. Guests may play on these at their own risk- the closest hospital is 7 miles away. *Please note- if you do not respect our camp rules your visit will be flagged, hipcamp will be notified and you will be asked to pay 25% of your booking fee for cleanup costs.*

The Sunset Bay State Park has a huge trail network that spans the cliff line all the way from Sunset Bay to Cape Arago. Chuck’s Seafood in Charleston is a great spot to pick up local seafood. BBQ some oysters on the grill or pick up some fresh fish and enjoy the bounty of the coast. Charleston, just 3.5 miles away, also has some great restaurants and local shops to truly make your stay memorable. Only friendly dogs allowed and leashed or under voice command.

River View is located in Glenada. No bathroom or running water, but there are 2 electrical plugs (110V and 220V) available at the pole. We have a free-range farm atmosphere, with 2 kids, 2 large dogs, 2 cats, and 12 chickens. We allow Hip Campers to bring animals on the property with the understanding that they are not allowed in the tiny house and that they are good around children and other animals, as our kids and pets are often running around the land. We have firewood and fresh eggs for additional fees. THERE IS NO TOILET on the property. This is not a tent camping site unless you bring your own portable toilet set up. No smoking in the Tiny House. This rustic property is close enough to Hwy 101 and downtown to be convenient, but far enough away to enjoy all the wildlife the Siuslaw River has to offer. Bird watching at its finest! Not to mention the view of Old Town! This little slice of rugged heaven is just above the Siuslaw River and right off of Hwy 101. There is a steep gravel driveway, but once at the top, it is flat, and the view is pretty amazing. From camp, you can see Old Town. Gaze down at the Siuslaw River and all the wildlife that comes with it! We regularly see deer, red-tailed hawks, ospreys, and bald eagles. We have also had a bear that passes through, so beware of leaving food out. There are plenty of places to hike and visit nearby dunes, rivers, lakes, parks, and the ocean. Enjoy Florence's amazing food (ask the host for her favorites). It is quite an "up and down" walk to Old Town for dinner, or you can bring back take-out and eat it in the tiny house (no electricity or running water). Take a short walk to Prichard State Park for clamming or just relax with a book and feel the breeze off the river.  Whatever you enjoy, we’re sure you can find something close by!

Sleeping 6-8 but you will need to bring your own cots, bedding etc. Just text me for details. Some spots have fire pits. Again depending on time of year and heat conditions. Because we have so many trees, we have to make sure no fires are to close to any tree's. Again, please Ask before burning. No random burning unless oked by land owners. Thank you for for helping to keep everyone safe.   We have numerous ponds throughout the property and swimming holes. We turned the 4 stall barn into a music room where we gather and host events. Soon we will have designated Spots, equipped with fire rings. We will have teepees, tree houses, glamping tents. As of now we have room for numerous big groups spots for tent camping. Soon we’ll have plug-ins for RV and fifth wheel travelers.  We have alot of space to camp and still have your privacy. Currently we have an out house and hose shower and you can also use the potty Under the Star's. We provide Toilet paper and try to keep stocked but, just ask if outhouses are out of paper. There are lovely walking trails throughout the property and tranquil sitting areas. We will update our progress as it happens. Hope to see you soon.. Remember to bring your own cooking equipment like grills. There's a cleaning station near shower. Water is straight from the well and beautiful drinking water. We are almost 20 acres of county and forests, about 24 miles NW of Famous Eugene Oregon, And we are nestled in between Fern Ridge reservoir and triangle Lake, headed to the Florance coast. We have 2 year round running creeks and 3 beautiful forests.  We are a work in progress, but we have a year-round working farm. We grow our own food, flowers and animals. We are currently working on a big outdoor kitchen, where we will have pizza ovens, canning facilities and a beautiful place to gather in the woods. Again still a work in progress. Some spots have fire pits. Again depending on time of year and heat conditions. Because we have so many trees, we have to make sure no fires are to close to any tree's. Again, please Ask before burning. No random burning unless oked by land owners. Thank you for for helping to keep everyone safe.   We have numerous ponds throughout the property and swimming holes. We turned the 4 stall barn into a music room where we gather and host events. Soon we will have designated Spots, equipped with fire rings. We will have teepees, tree houses, glamping tents. As of now we have room for numerous big groups spots for tent camping. Soon we’ll have plug-ins for RV and fifth wheel travelers.  We have alot of space to camp and still have your privacy. Currently we have an out house and hose shower and you can also use the potty Under the Star's. We provide Toilet paper and try to keep stocked but, just ask if outhouses are out of paper. There are lovely walking trails throughout the property and tranquil sitting areas. We will update our progress as it happens. Hope to see you soon.. Remember to bring your own cooking equipment like grills. There's a cleaning station near shower. Water is straight from the well and beautiful drinking water. Hi Carly. We had an absolutely amazing time! Your place is so quiet and beautiful. We set the tent up underneath the canopy and it was wonderful. The rain wasn't too much with that extra protection. All the stumps and benches around the fire pit are fantastic for cooking on with my little backpacking stove. And the trailer plug was perfect; the electric car was fully charged in the morning! Next time we are driving south to visit my parents in California, I hope we can stay at your place!

Exceeded Expectations! Tim's property is stunning. Everything is very well maintained, the porta-potty is the cleanest and best smelling that I've ever experienced. The area is open, yet private. We had a sneaky visitor while we were gone one afternoon, help himself to a jar of peanut butter we mistakenly left out. Our Racoon camp buddy came back that night to sniff our tent and hang out in the bushes while we relaxed by the fire. The location is perfect. It's very close to one of the best beach spots along the southern Oregon Coast, Sunset Bay. While we didn't make use of the shower or sauna, we checked them out when we picked up firewood and chatted with Tim - they seemed clean and inviting. Tim was a great host - I had some vehicle issues that caused us to get in very late one night and impacted our departure time. He just gave us a jovial wave as we left. FYI - Lots of neat stuff to explore within the camping area - check out the creek! The ground was wet and slick; I tried as hard as I could to not spin-out in my truck, but unfortunately I left a few minor marks in Tim's beautifully maintained grass. Very sorry, Tim!

The yurt was very roomy and comfortable! There were lights and a propane heater and a comfy futon. There was a picnic table and fire ring out front. We arrived after dark and it was a little tricky to navigate to the site in the dark but we managed. We stayed one night and were pleased with how private and remote the campsite was. The view of the stars was incredible due to low light pollution! Highly recommend this "glamping" experience.

I had an amazing stay at this cozy yurt near Coos Bay, Oregon. The property itself is stunning—set on a vast stretch of woodland that is even part of a golf course, it felt like a peaceful retreat tucked away in nature. The yurt was warm, inviting, and the skylight made it extra special. Hearing the nearby stream in the evening and waking up to soft natural light were some of my favorite things about the yurt stay. The owners were incredibly kind and welcoming. They went above and beyond to make my stay memorable, even taking the time to show me where to find edible mushrooms on the property. It’s clear they genuinely enjoy sharing their land and encouraging guests to explore and connect with the outdoors. The sauna and outdoor-style shower added to the rustic, nature-inspired experience—simple, refreshing, and perfectly in tune with the setting. Overall, this stay was peaceful, unique, and full of thoughtful touches. As a solo female I felt incredibly safe and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, nature-focused getaway. 🌿

We absolutely love Cathryn's beautiful hipcamp on the Umpqua River in Roseburg. We went in late October so the weather was chilly and it rained a lot but we made the best of it. We had the entire campground to ourselves and just a few steps away from the most breathtaking river scene. My son enjoyed fishing and saw many huge salmon but unfortunately he didn't catch one next time perhaps. We have a 31ft RV and our friends had a smaller RV there are no hookups but that's how we love and enjoy camping. It is very peaceful with wild turkeys that ventured into our camps. There are no strict rules on dogs off leash which are pups love to explore and run around and frolic in the water it was amazing. Cathryn came by once to introduce herself and to answer any questions that we may have had. She also mentioned that they are going to do some improvements to the camp to get down to the water more accessible. Its all a work in process but it's beautiful just the way it is. We can't wait to book for the summer because there are many deep pools there to swim in. The only suggestion that I would have would be to move the front gate further down so that when you pull out of the gate you're not on the main road where it could potentially be dangerous. To be honest I really don't want to say too many great things about this place lol because we would love it to remain a secret 😜 It is definitely in the books for springtime. Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven with us.
