This property is owned by the Dauenhauer family and was initially operated as a multi-functional farm raising a thousand acres in various crops. In the early 1980's the family began planting grapes on the property and now the vineyard is the predominate feature for the farm. Most of the vineyard production is sold to wineries located across the state, however the family does retain a small amount of grapes each year for their private wine label "Hauer of the Dauen". You are welcome to stop by the farm for wine tasting on Saturday and Sunday's 12:00-5:00pm. The park and campground area is a recent addition to the farm and had been a vision for quite some time.

Our family "Riverhouse" is one of my favorite places in the world. We use it to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday professional life. The town of Harrisburg is such a cool, easy-going, quaint place to spend some time. Accessibility is one of its' key assets. Harrisburg has a few family owned places to eat at, and a few shops to explore. It's a one light town, but that is why we love it here. The river is my favorite part. I sit for hours on end, watching the water flow by. Fishing, rafting/floating, and wading in the water are all fun things to do here. If you are looking for something just to get off the highway for the night, or for a longer stay, this is a great quiet place to be. Weekend Trip to RV Tent Camping near River

Tad and Alanna met me at my arrival for a quick get-to-know and what was needed. Semi-private camp spot was close to chickens, but surprisingly they were not noisy (thankfully no rooster that I heard). Spot is off the main road so only road noise was passing neighbor cars. Crab apple trees were ripe for picking, blackberries already finished. I spent my daytime hours away from camp spot and at the McMinnville Highland Games Festival where I was competing in heavy athletics. On my departure day, I received a thank you note expressing interest in the Highland Games after meeting me and stating that their family was their watching me, which added a nice personal touch to the visit.

Nice friendly little town. The spot was a great place for sunsets and reading on the deck. We were here in fall and there were no bugs. We did see a pack of river otters right below the house that were fun to watch. Super dog friendly area with people jogging and strolling by. Dog friendly park right doen the street and even a dog bad dispenser less than a block away . Felt safe. Close to stores and the Vu, a nice little pub with good, great selection of beer and cider (didn't try the mixed drinks) and pool tables (free pool on Sundays FYI). Next time we in the area this is out go to spot.

Weekend Trip to RV Tent Camping near River

This is a great little spot with a picnic table and fire-pit. You can nestle your camper next to the tree to create a screen between you and the house. The spot is level and easy to back into. Alanna was very attentive when we arrived to inform us of where to park. We were here 24 hours- wine tasted in the region- great access to town and wineries. Enjoy!

Highly recommend staying at this location. The family that own this property are amazing and very helpful! Lots of room and fresh air to breath. Not a lot of traffic so it is very quiet and a great place to put your feet up and relax or go for a walk. Good views and some wildlife viewing including deer rabbits and birds. Can't recommend Kari's place enough!!!!
