Camping at Hidden Pillar is a primitive, off-grid experience:

This listing is located on The Riverbend Preserve, a private nature park, so there is no hunting, fishing, or foraging. Please do not discharge any firearms during your stay.
The forest to the west of the Preserve is Washington State land, and on occasion locals go up into the hills to target shoot. In the unlikely event that this happens during your stay, don't be alarmed; the British are *not* coming.
This land is a nature preserve with lots of wildlife. You're welcome to bring your pet, but keep small animals close to you as there are coyotes and predatory birds in abundance. Black bears and mountain lions also live in the hills, so please always be cautious while hiking and exploring.
If you use AT-T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, or most major carriers you can expect good cell service. Single use or small cellular carriers may have intermittent signal or no signal at all after you leave the City of Chehalis behind.

Less than 15 minutes from stores and restaurants, yet far enough from light pollution to enjoy starry nights as you drift off to sleep.
The dome is fully insulated and equipped with heat, AC, Wi-Fi, a kitchen, and a bathroom with running hot water. The main room features a huge window with unobstructed views of the forest, where miles of mapped trails await, complete with bridges, waterfalls, picnic areas, and the year-round creek. Relax on the couch beneath the color-changing star ceiling while your favorite movie or show plays on the Smart TV.
The living area includes a dining table for two, a couch under the star ceiling that converts to a full bed, a leather futon with cupholders, and a telescope for stargazing. The coffee table is stocked with board games and reading material. For added comfort, there is a new wall-mounted heating and AC mini-split unit, as well as a wood pellet stove.
The loft has a king bed underneath a large skylight window, with sleep masks provided. Dimmable lamps with USB charging ports are on each side of the bed.
The bathroom inside the dome includes a walk-in shower, hairdryer, cozy custom bathrobes, and basic amenities. Spa slippers are provided to each guest for lounging around the dome — feel free to take them home!
Bring your mountain bikes or hike one of the many trails blazed across the property. Explore to discover waterfalls, bridges, picnic areas, and abundant wildlife. What to Know Before You Book
The cabin sleeps 3 adults comfortably and has basic amenities inside: bed and futon with bedding, chairs and table, games and a small library. The outdoor kitchen includes two picnic tables, a gas and charcoal grill with burner, basic cooking equipment, and dishes for 8. Propane and wood fire pits are included.
Camping at Hidden Pillar is a primitive, off-grid experience:
- No electricity; no running water
- Bring all water or purification system; pack out all trash
- Gravel roads are steep and rutted—high-clearance vehicle recommended for cabin and Creekside access
Hidden Pillar Retreat provides easy access to Southwest Washington Coast beaches, historic river towns (Skamokawa, Cathlamet, Astoria), Julia Butler Hansen Wildlife Refuge, and excellent boating/kayaking.

As a guest, you are free to access any part of the 220-acre property except other campsites (there is currently only one).
This listing is located on The Riverbend Preserve, a private nature park, so there is no hunting, fishing, or foraging. Please do not discharge any firearms during your stay.
The forest to the west of the Preserve is Washington State land, and on occasion locals go up into the hills to target shoot. In the unlikely event that this happens during your stay, don't be alarmed; the British are *not* coming.
This land is a nature preserve with lots of wildlife. You're welcome to bring your pet, but keep small animals close to you as there are coyotes and predatory birds in abundance. Black bears and mountain lions also live in the hills, so please always be cautious while hiking and exploring.
If you use AT-T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, or most major carriers you can expect good cell service. Single use or small cellular carriers may have intermittent signal or no signal at all after you leave the City of Chehalis behind.
Most important of all, relax and enjoy your stay in this incredibly peaceful and secluded valley.

The yurt was a perfect way to winter camp and stay semi-warm in the process. The sauna was restorative and the showers had somewhat warm water (better than freezing!) Lots of woods/trails to explore. Saw some elk roaming on our last mornigng there. Will definitely be coming back when its warmer!

Weekend Trip to Creekside Astro-Dome
The Astro-dome was one of my favorite weekend trips in a long time. The hosts thought of every little thing to make our stay here so comfortable including slippers, robes, extra blankets, board games, twinkle lights, coffee and tea etc. The dome was clean and cozy. The hot tub was so relaxing. The trails right from the front door step to the creek were so fun. The hosts were very easy to communicate with as well. I can’t wait to stay here again!

The room was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. We had a big storm come through the night of our stay and the hosts were super hospitable and brought us a backup power bank. The heater blankets on the bed were a great touch too!
