Weekend Trip to Woody Acres

Everything here is magical. We stayed in the peppermint wagon and two days was not enough. July 4th weekend Temps were 95 but we found shade under the outdoor kitchen. And the trails were pleasantly cool under the trees. At night a little fan provided and the windows open kept it at a comfortable temperature. We loved the outdoor shower! And the Privy is stocked and clean. We really enjoyed our campfire visits from Austin. He really made you feel welcomed on his property. We are coming back next month and bringing our mother. She's going to love it just as much as we did! So close to all the hocking hills trails. We never ran out of things to do! It was fun to hike a trail, come back to camp and cook lunch and then head back out to our next trail. Thank you Austin and Kate for sharing your beautiful land with us. Can't wait for the next trip out there!!!. Would love to rent every spot and bring the entire family sometime !

3 nights at Hocking Hills Family Fun Center

Pay attention to the pictures. The cabin itself is as follows: 1 bunkbed with a queen/full size bottom bunk bed. And an additional bed. 3 total. A microwave, mini fridge like in a dorm room and a small window unit air conditioner. The bathroom/showers are about 100 yards away depending on what cabin you stay in. It is very peaceful. The air conditioner does cool the cabin sufficiently. Picnic table. Fire pot. There is electricity. You Can plug in other things easily. No TV but honestly we didnt even care. So much to do on the campground itself. They have putt putt. A monstrous inflatable water park for the kids. Showing movies at night. Very nice. Very clean. Very good experience and I am usually too bougie to be honest.

My family and I had a lovely time in our little cabin. We were greeted when we arrived and got all the info we needed for the weekend. Even the resident dogs came to say hello, which the kid loved. Mornings at the cabin were particularly beautiful- so peaceful and full of song birds. There were other cabins on the property, but the lush forest made you feel secluded. It was a nice little getaway.

This is the perfect place to stay at if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway. The property is very private and well taken care of. We had a great experience at Hocking Hills Family Fun Center! The kids had an absolute blast and stayed entertained the entire time. We also stayed in one of the cabins for two nights while traveling home, and it was a fun and comfortable place to relax and recharge. The bathrooms were clean, the showers had plenty of hot water, and the entire property was well maintained. What really stood out was the staff, they were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. If you’re traveling with family and looking for a place where the kids can have fun while the adults can relax, this is definitely worth a visit. We made some great memories and would gladly stop again!

Weekend Trip to Whippoorwill Retreat

Really close to ohio river and Forked Run State Park where we kyacked. Amazing property. A little hike in up and down through the woods. Greeted with the cutest little cabin stocked with anything you could possibly need and more. Perfectly situated in a small clearing with the fire pit and picknick table just far enough away from the cabin. The cabin is facing a rock formation and humming birds were playing all around us. We saw a deer and cooked on the camp stove and drank a whole bunch of the provided water(thanks again). There is a cute outdoor shower...my jam, that was really cold, but nice to rinse off. Mostly sat on the porch because it was super hot out but when went to bed the soft lighting and fans kept us comfortable. Almost want to keep it a secret, but this place was a diamond in the ruff. @_amy__adventures

Weekend Trip to Birdhouse Farm Camp And Cabin

We had an amazing time at the Farm! Logan helped us haul our gear to the site with a little trailer on his mower, the outdoor shower was so cute and the outhouse was right across from our site. It's about a 5-6 minute walk from the parking area, so the help hauling was needed. The A-frame was perfect and we loved lifting the front, putting up the bug net (a must) and sleeping in the open air! Logan even brought us an extra bundle of wood when I texted we were low and helped us motor out our gear in the morning. The site is SO peaceful, so many different birds. The 5 gallon jug of water, with pump, was perfect, outhouse has all you need and is pretty nice (as outhouses go lol). Super private (we were the only camper there on a Friday night). we had hiked cedar Falls/Ash Cave in Hocking Hill and then just about an hour drive to the site. My first camp trip taking my dog along and with a tieout he had roaming area of the whole site. Highly recommend, great hosts and site!

The dome is beautiful and comfortable. We really enjoyed ourselves and loved exploring the area. Close proximity to state parks for fishing, hiking and kayaking. There is a gorgeous outdoor shower (not in service during our stay ) Hopefully it will be up and running soon, looks like a lovely experience. The host is very accommodating and responsive. Weekend Trip to Woody Acres

Woody Acres truly is a magical place. There is so much to do, and even though we faced lots of rain while we were there, time seemed to not exist while we were with our friends and Austin and Kate under the shelter that Austin built with the camper. We also enjoyed a fun plant walk with Austin and a dip in the pond! It's always very hard for us to leave because we love it there so much. The land is beautiful. The hospitality is truly unmatched. We can't wait to be back. 💗
