This is a 12.5 acre mini farm. We have a garden, bee hive, 30 fruit trees, bamboo, hard wood trees, 4 wheeler trails, a pig, guinea fowl, chickens, ducks, turkeys, cats, and dogs. We are working on a site for a single meat cow too! We have 2 sites, 1 is a trailer and 1 is a camping spot/cabin on top of our mountain. The cabin up there was built in the 60-70’s probably and is a total mess. People are welcome to stay in it if they choose. There is plenty of area for multiple tents near the cabin. The trailer is a basic 1990’s trailer. Everything works in it. There is a furnace, 2 full size beds, a full kitchen and bath. There is a window AC for hot days.

Just 5 minutes to necessities (like pizza) and 10-20 minutes to all the outdoor adventures Hocking County Ohio offers. The modern, yet cozy, Carpenter's Cabin has a small footprint of 934sf but explodes with over 1700sf of interior living space over four floors and another 600sf is available on the three decks.  The cabin boasts two owner's bedrooms, two bunk rooms, and one alcove bed in the library to sleep up to eight adults and twelve total guests.  Three full baths round out the private spaces.  There are two media rooms - The Conversation Pit on the main floor and in the lower level walkout. The cabin was built as the first eco-luxe cabin in the Hocking Hills and includes luxury amenities such as organic bamboo sheets, Turkish cotton /eucalyptus bath towels, and natural body products to name just a few. Explore our 32 acre pine forest in the Appalachian foothills, enjoy the hot tub, fire pit, and our three covered decks (including a third story screened deck off one of the two master suites). Check out The Perch four stories up, and the extremely popular conversation pit, known affectionately as The Pit. The addition of the Jaybird Fort (a mini version of the Carpenter's Cabin) keeps children active with imaginative play outdoors. The Carpenter's Cabin is just 5 minutes to downtown Laurelville for supplies, or enjoy a meal at a local restaurant. No smoking, vaping, marijuana, etc inside the cabin or in our 32 acres of forest. Love the independent check-in. The property is fantastic. My daughter and I always go to the same spot every time. It is extremely peaceful and quiet. The valley that we camp in never has any wind. Perfect for tent camping. Caleb is always very accommodating and a great host.

Best part... The stars at night. Beautiful! Porta pot was clean. Camp store was a nice touch. Wish we would have looked at the map better. We would have taken a hike. Amazing location, definitely off the beaten track. Loved the privacy, the scenic oasis and the trails along the river/creek. Our dog Gemma, loved to run free on her walks with her owners, including the rail trail. The colors of autumn were such an enjoyable treat from this location. If you’re in the area, it’s a gem!

This was our 2nd time staying at Caleb’s, very beautiful place and quiet. All the hocking hills attractions aren’t too far away and the town of McArthur has a few family owned restaurants with good food and atmosphere. Highly recommend staying here!

We loved camping here on top of the ridge! The site was beautiful, private, and with the UTV service was easy to access and transport our gear. The host was very responsive and kind, and was an excellent host. He got us more firewood when we needed it and even offered us farm fresh eggs. The bike trails near by were also excellent and provided a very fun weekend.

What an awesome site! Especially if you’re into biking. The Moonville Rail Trail is just a stones throw away. The campsite has a maze of awesome clover paved walking trails. Great for walking your dog! Location is an easy walk to the Kings Hollow Tunnel and an easy bike ride to the Moonville Tunnel.

Seriously, don’t miss out on those! I also really appreciated that they offer firewood bundles for such an affordable price.
