Amazing campground, and Austin & Kate were awesome. Highly recommend whether it's hot or cold, this place takes care of you. And be sure to just buy their wood for your fires, it's cheaper than Kroger, and it burns way longer. Can't wait to bring my kids here, they'd have an absolute blast. Fantastic! Despite some of the drawbacks others have noted, my now fiance and I had a great time! I booked this cabin because of the incredible privacy, and mainly to propose in Hocking Hills! (She said yes 😎) Craig was a very nice host and made sure the cabin was well stocked. Despite no running water it had everything you could think to need, and overall you can tell the cabin was built with safety/comfort in mind. We will definitely be staying here again! Thanks Craig!

The Sugar Shack is the perfect secluded primitive stay! Be prepared to take one of the wagons if you packed a lot of stuff. Aimee did a fantastic job utilizing her land for campers, It’s family friendly and there’s plenty to do. The wood burning stove was the perfect addition to our cold autumn evenings, it makes it so cozy while settling in for the night. When we first got there, Aimee had the stove packed for us already and a bundle of wood. I would recommend a trip here 10/10!!

The hosts are extremely friendly and accommodating, the campsite is simple but had everything we needed, and the cabins were comfy, warm and private. The site is in a lovely area of country: rolling hills, lots of wildlife, and really quiet and peaceful. We went with 4 adults and 5 kids, aged between 7 and 11, and everyone had a great time.

Weekend Trip to Birdhouse Farm Camp And Cabin

We loved our stay at the A-Frame. It was more secluded than expected which was nice. It is about 1/4 mile from where you park. Logan will help you haul your stuff in his Gator which was super helpful when we were leaving in the rain. We had a peaceful stay and explored Lake Hope State Park, dined at Pleasant Hill Winery, and enjoyed Jennifer's delicious homemade and locally sourced breakfast burritos.

The cabin is a little small, but it comfortably housed my wife and I. Everything was very clean with all of the amenities that we needed for the weekend. A very nice spot for a weekend retreat for two people. There's also a huge stack of western and war DVDs if you want to check those out!
