Weekend Trip to Buck Run RV Retreat

This was our second time staying at this campground, and it was just as great as we remembered! This time, my brother’s family and our mom joined us, which made it even more special. The kids had a blast fishing, and we all enjoyed walking the peaceful trails together. The hosts are absolutely wonderful—friendly, welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed. It’s such a relaxing spot with plenty to do but also perfect for just unwinding. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Weekend Trip to Feather Ridge - Hocking Hills Camp

The camp sites were beautiful, you could still hear the road from time to time. Otherwise it was rather primitive.

Peaaceful, trees and sunlight, 10 different bird species singing in the morning 🐦‍⬛🤓; easy to find location definitely off the beaten path up some dirt roads. Cabin was clean on bed was very comfortable. There are trails on the land that are meant for ATVs, which I didn’t use, but I walked on them with my dog and the solitude was great William was very accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. New private hot tub. I didn’t get a chance to get in it to tired from traveling. The area is gorgeous. If you have not been just riding through the countryside hills was serene.

Easy place to stop for a quick overnight. I tried to follow the instructions, but still had it wrong. Luckily something be came out to help me and point me in the right direction, so I was on the right property.

Craig’s Hipcamp was honestly perfect—super secluded, peaceful, and packed with adventure. It felt like having my own little slice of nature, totally off the grid. Whether I was just relaxing or out exploring, it was exactly what I needed. Plus, Craig is awesome—really kind and always happy to help. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway with endless outdoor vibes, this is the place.

Clean facilities and a friendly host. Hot shower, full kitchen and great a porch! The band I'm in stayed the weekend and were able to play music all day and into the night. The host was accommodating and friendly.

Weekend Trip to Walnut Falls Escape

I loved the cozy cabin feel! It had a fire pit and grill which was perfect for making food :) There's a wood stove/heater inside to keep you warm on cooler nights. Recommend wearing hiking boots as getting to the cabin is a little bit of a trek. 5/5 would visit again.

Our weekend stay at the cabin was incredible! It was clean, cozy, and had all the amenities we needed (including a hot tub). William was also a great host. He checked in as soon as we arrived to make sure we were all set. When I had a question, he responded quickly and was very gracious!

Just outside your tent, Feather Ridge features Wheelabout Creek running the entire width of the property for onsite wade fishing and kayaking, and borders the state forest where you will find 28k acres of rolling hills, gorgeous rock formations and furnaces that the area is so well-known for that act as trailheads and landmarks, abundant wildlife and even a cave or two! All there for great hiking and hunting - directly accessible from the property! Feel free to wander straight up the hill from the parking area and once you’ve passed the yellow marked trees, you’re in the state forest! If you’re looking to enjoy the beauties of the region and not be too far from everything it has to offer, Feather Ridge is your spot! You don’t have to drive miles into the woods to find it - S.R. 278 is the direct access point to our property providing convenient and quick access to parks and any amenities you may need. Our aim is for EVERY camper to enjoy this property as much as we have. Whether it’s casting a line, challenging yourself to hike that extra mile, or throwing a blanket down and taking in nature - we hope your stay here is enjoyable and creates great memories! We currently offer three primitive campsites with two chairs, a side table, and fire ring. Campers are welcome to pitch tents within the radius of their designated area while also maintaining comfortable distance from other campers. All of our sites are well shaded and located off a recreational trail not far from our parking area. We recommend renting one of our golf carts to explore the backcountry mountain roads with it is the best way to get out and sightsee and explore the area during your stay , we do offer these adventures separately to anyone looking to take a ride not just our guest. you could bring your own atv and pay a $30 daily riding fee , ride as much as you want. 5 Leaf Farm

This area was known by the Native Americans as "Pocatalico" (land of the fat doe), and first settled by Europeans around 1890. The property itself was first settled by a man named Mayford Jones, who set the first stones here around 1910. A Jenny Lynn style farmhouse was built and the property was known as one of the best developed farms in the area. Today, the forest has returned to what was once pasture land on the majority of the 100 acre plot, and a small but intensive sustainable forest farm has been taking shape since 2013 under the current host and occupant, who prefers the term "steward" rather than "owner".
