I have a side hobby making homemade jams, pickles and flavored goat cheese spreads. We love the peacefulness of where we live...although the weather chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, guinea fowl, peacocks, goats and horses do get a little loud come feeding time. We have different sites, please read each description or message me before you book a stay. All the sites have an 8pm latest check in unless you've stayed with us before. With the cold snap we have been experiencing the RV water source will freeze up over night. Please message me before booking the RV. Weekend Trip to Black River Camping Ventures

I absolutely loved my stay at Black River Camping Ventures! This is a gorgeous, pristine private family campground directly on the Black River. I camped here spur of the moment in the off season near the winter holidays. My tent site was immaculate, the check-in/out super easy, and my host Lisa made time to keep in good contact and to come by for a visit. The location is great for easy paddling access to the river. I originally planned a longer trek downstream and ended up just staying and exploring the ancient cypress swamps right around the campgrounds. 5 nights at The Rusty Spur

I spent a few days here in early December and just extended for the next month. It’s a charming, rural spot with full amenities at all sites, bathrooms including showers, washer and dryer. Pet friendly with trails to take my dog for a walk. Will and Lorie have been exceptionally kind and welcoming and came to check on me during a recent cold spell. Very safe and private. There’s a nearby mobile rv technician, Mike the RV Medic who helped me repair my furnace and was very professional. Very reasonable rates for everything being offered. I highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Cedar Creek Campground at Elease

Beautiful, private and somewhat enchanted. We felt such a sense of peace here. From the first contact with Mike, we knew it would be special. Large, private lots were scattered throughout the wooded area. Very well landscaped and looking forward to returning when everything is in bloom. If this is any indication of what our retirement will be like, we’re ready to explore now. A lot of love and care has built this place and it shows!

Absolutely beautiful place. The pictures don't do it justice. Well spaced, generously sized sites, and clean, nicely maintained porta-john. The provided wipes are especially nice. The camp hostess rolls out the red carpet. We will definitely be coming back here.

Yet again, another wonderful weekend at Black River Camping Ventures. I think this is my third Thanksgiving weekend in a row. And I will be back. The beauty of this area is breathtaking. I am more amazed each visit. Thanks as usual to Lisa and Eric for being the perfect hosts. They are always willing to help with any needs. For anyone camping this past weekend, I will hopefully see you next year!

We loved Black River Camping Ventures, it’s a most beautiful and serene landscape. Right on the river the views are magical. Walking up to the point and watching the sunset was a breathtaking moment. They have a lovely beach area to launch kayaks and some wonderful swamp and cypress areas to explore. Catfish in the river make fishing a fun time! The camping areas are large and each feature a fire ring with swing over cooking grate, trash can and picnic table. There are a couple of portable-John’s for use which are kept spotless. They even supply tissue, wipes and sanitizer! Mrs Lisa and Mr Eric were absolutely wonderful hosts, and made sure we had everything we needed for a fabulous time. We recommend very highly this camping site for fun family adventures.

Great place. Huge field with tins of open space. Nice neighbors. Adjoins another field with lots of different animals that my dog was amazed by. Heather stopped by to check on us and is very nice. I will definitely stay again.

I brought my RV out to Michael’s place and had an incredible stay. The property is spotless—honestly looks and feels brand new and the peace and quiet out there is exactly what I needed. Michael was an awesome host, quick to respond, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. The space is open, relaxing, and very well taken care of. I’ll definitely be coming back without a doubt. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a clean, quiet, and comfortable getaway.
