Camping life with farm animals.
Great Hipcamp venue. Very friendly hostess and host who can help with setting up camp and making camp life lots off fun. Authentic farm experience, lots of farm animals including horses, donkeys, chickens, turkey, pigs sheep and goats. Fresh farm produce available. Looking forward to our next visit.

Camping on Michele's Farm
Five stars aren't enough. I hope that anyone reading this review gets the opportunity to stay on Michele's farm. It's the perfect little adventure spot - friendly animals to interact with, gated and fenced fields for puppies to run around to their heart's content, and the most amazing hosts.
My boyfriend and I stayed on Michele's land because we were traveling to participate in a nearby athletic event. Michele went above and beyond for us, allowing us to bring our doggos and keep them in a safe, air conditioned space while we were racing. We were even given farm fresh eggs for breakfasts, surprise flowers for mother's day, and left with homemade preserves and canned pickles. Michele and her husband are some of the most kind, generous, and all around lovely hosts I've had the pleasure to meet and talk to, and we would absolutely stay here again. This spot really is a gem, and I would 100% recommend.

I cannot say enough about the Westmoreland’s. Seriously the KINDEST people. The farm is beautiful, and a GREAT place to bring your kiddos. I brought my almost 2 year old and he had an absolutely fabulous time, as did I!! We will definitely be coming back.

Silk Purse Farm RV Camping
Our second trip to Silk Purse farm and it was just as good as our first. Rick and Michele are awesome hosts and Rick went above and beyond to try to fix a problem with my RV. The kids got to horse ride, collect eggs, hang out with pigs and even wrangle some escaped hens. We hope to come back again.

Silk Purse Farm is worth a visit!
Michele & Rick, offer a beautiful spot on their family farm with FULL HOOK UP! They are very flexible and accommodating. Two of our families stayed here in our campers. We were side-by-side. Our view were of all the animals: mule, goats, pigs, horses, chickens, geese and more. We were able to feed and pet the animals. We truly enjoyed our time here. The road is quiet. They have a bathroom/shower available also. Michele truly did everything to make our stay awesome! Come and visit and check it out!

Great Farm Camping Experience
We had a great time at Silk Purse Farm. Michele and Rick were great hosts. Our daughter loved playing with all the animals and even got a few horseback riding lessons. We definitely recommend staying here if you have kids that are interested in farm animals.

Silk Purse Farm RV Camping
This was my first hipcamp experience and it set the bar high. Waking up on a farm with a view of the pigs and goats was so fun. Our dog ran around and loved it. Got to pet all of the animals, had a nice warm shower, amazing hospitality, we even got a
Dozen and a half of farm fresh eggs. We will definitely be booking here again in the future.

Great tent camping on a cute farm
We had a great time tent camping at Silk Purse farms! The hosts were very kind and helpful. They even provided firewood and fresh eggs when we arrived. The farm was beautiful and it felt very spacious setting up our tent in the field with the horses. It was fun walking and seeing the animals, especially the baby goats that we got to hold! Our dog also enjoyed all the open space and smells. We will definitely return.

We had an amazing camping experience at Silk Purse Farm. It was our first time in a long time camping and I'm glad we picked the right place. It was very private, spacious and safe. Michele introduced us to all her friendly animals. We enjoyed interacting with them so much. We'll go back there again!

Animals lovers destination
Michelle has a wonderful property. She is such a gracious host. We loved grabbing fresh eggs from the coup each morning, grazing with her horses each afternoon, and soaking in the stars at night. Horse back riding for our daughter each day was a highlight. The goats, the horses, the chickens, the ducks, the turkeys, the sheep and the pig all became family!!

Our favorite camping spot of all time! Perfectly accommodating for our trailer and surrounded by beauty and hands-on farm life with kind, loving and people-friendly animals all around us. Fresh eggs from the coop each morning and pasture walks each afternoon. Our daughter rode horseback, helped tend the animals, and made fast friends with our hosts’ family. Michele and Rick are so friendly, helpful and very trusting with their animals and property. They even invited us to join them for an afternoon at a nearby lake for swimming and fishing. They make you feel like instant family. We can’t say enough great things about them, their place and their animals. We cannot wait to visit again as soon as possible!

We loved Michele's land! Camping on a pasture with horses was such a great experience for our family. Our toddler especially loved riding a horse and feeding all of the chickens and goats. Would definitely recommend the place.

Camping with the animals!
I love Michele's land,😊 my mom and dad let me go there with my sister.💕 It was a blast!🥳 It was very unique and peaceful veiw.✨ There were blackberrires you can pick out and eat. Some horses came by our campsite and just hanged out.👍 Feeding the farm animals was fun!❤️ Another thing that was fun was the horse ride.😊 They teach you easyly and understandably. 😁The goats are cute and so are the horses. 😍The bunny is fluffy and the chicken, chick, turkey, and the duck is all so friendly.🌈 All animals were sweet and very kind. 🥰 And the donkey was super duper adorable! ❤️I wish I can go camp again!🤩

Magical Camping with Horses
My daughter and I were blown away by our experience at Silk Purse Farm. Michele was a wonderful host and we were made to feel very welcome--by both humans and animals! All the animals on the farm are very accustomed to humans and guests are free to interact with all of them. The horse visits to our tent at dawn were just one of many, many highlights. Gathering fresh eggs and scrambling them up in the cool shade of our tree, watching goats frolic on their trampoline, and treating the horses to carrots were some others. The single bathroom is located in the horse barn, but it has everything you need and adds to the farm experience. We WILL return!

Silk Purse Farm
We were staying at a campground called Silk Purse Farm in Aberdeen NC. Google maps brought right up to the front door. Their pug Thor was the first to greet us followed by the baby goats. The owners we very accommodating. They provided free eggs, the bathrooms had shower with towels, wood for the fire, a trash barrel. potable water and waste area. They had chickens, goats. horses. miniature horses. The horses came to visit, I only wished we had some apples to give them. We had a great time.

A horse/animal lovers dream
Michele and her husband are the type of people that restore one's faith in humanity. They exude kindness and warmth, with a love for the outdoors, animals, and sharing their vast knowledge of random things from bread making to spinning wool into yarn and everything in between. We stayed here for only 3 days and made memories that will last a lifetime. Think I'm over selling it? Stop by, you'll see what I mean, I dare you. Unless you're an a--hole, then please by all means stay away! :)
For some details- we stayed at silk purse in our 40ft fifth wheel. The farm was relatively easy to get to, and we were able to pull through. It looked like some of their spots were back-ins, but I can't say for certain. I highly suggest you love animals, because they're everywhere. I was a little worried because our German shepherd likes people, but not other large animals, but they rope off the area around your spot so they can't come into it, so it wasn't an issue (they do have one spot that's right next to their barn and isn't roped off or separated from the animals, so be sure and speak with them if that's a concern)... We road horses, fed goats, ducks, chickens, and a pig, and had a fire each night with firewood they provided. Not sure what else to say- we loved our time here!

A fantastic farm stay!
What a wonderful visit to Silk Purse Farm! Michele and her husband were the BEST hosts - they helped me hook up the RV, gave our kiddos amazing horse back riding lessons and made us feel right at home! It’s a quiet spot with lots for the kids to do. Full hookups, fresh eggs, great hospitality! Highly recommend!

You won’t be disappointed!!!
We had the best time at Satin Purse Farm! Michelle is a wonderful hostess and so very accommodating. She was very responsive to my questions before booking and went out of her way to accommodate my son with special needs. My daughter learned more in her one horseback riding lesson with Michelle than she did in months of horseback riding lessons previously! And Michelle had her so comfortable that she was trotting in a matter of minutes - something she never did during her previous lessons. We felt so very welcome and had so much fun that we’ve already booked a return trip in less than a week!

Quiet and Peaceful!
We had a very nice site with electric and sewer. It was quiet and peaceful even with the the animals! We loved seeing the horses, goats, chickens, snd sheep. The fresh eggs were a nice touch, too. We look forward to coming back soon!

Amazing weekend
It was a fun and relaxing weekend indeed! Weather was perfect but the farm was even better. Camping right in the middle of where the animals graze. Woke up to horses and turkeys 5 feet from our door. The hosts are extremely friendly and will do anything for you. Full hook ups for our camper. Got to feed and hang out with all the animals. Even saw a goat give birth to a couple babies. I would recommend to anyone. We will definitely be back!

I pitched a tent, and have 4y and 2y kids. My family had a great time here. Very comfortable and relax. Michele is really kind and helpful, she got us extra fresh eggs!
