Very peaceful location. Look for the stone steps on river left when approaching the campground. Plenty of firewood to find. The picnic tables need a little love but all in all we would definitely return again.

We really enjoyed our stay at BackRhodesRanch. The camping site was very nice right next to the river. The other campers were very chill. We had car trouble and Steve hooked us up with a competent mechanic who got us on the road. Highly recommend.

It was very private, perfect trout fishing, stargazing and plenty of room for the kids to play. The road in is very narrow as advertised, one car, just be aware if you are hauling something. There was a little road noise but nothing bothersome and we slept well. The camp site is ready so all you need is to pitch your tent and unpack. Water, logs, hand sanitizer and paper towels and toilet paper were provided. We would definitely stay again.

Great flat spot with a picnic table, small fire ring, and elevated toilet. Watching the moonrise from Site 2 was spectacular. Lots of wonderful wildlife (deer, screech owl, frogs, etc).
The steps up to the site are shielded in the trees so watch carefully on river left when you're getting close if approaching from the river side.

This was the perfect spot for our family. Easy enough to get to for the late arrivers but secluded enough for a peaceful weekend in nature. Plenty of room to spread out, open area for the small children to run and play, forest to explore, and the river is easy enough to get to without being a concern for our two three year olds to wander into. They loved playing in the river! Is was a delight to meet and talk to Phil, who is so gracious to share this beautiful land with us. Covered picnic tables, fire pit, portable toilets in a tent... Nothing more needed. I highly recommend and we're sure to be back!

I really enjoyed this site! It was very easy to get into, with a convenient pull-through layout that’s mostly flat and provides plenty of space. The full hookups were great, and the view of the hills and trees made it feel peaceful and open. I also loved the added sense of security — there’s a locked gate at the bottom of the drive. Getting in was smooth too, with the drive paved most of the way and well-laid, well-maintained gravel for the rest. The roomy layout also made it simple to turn around, back in, and pull out without stress.
A few things to note: there’s no shade, picnic table, or fire pit, and the site isn’t clearly marked, so it took me a moment to figure out where to park.
That said, I would definitely recommend this spot if you’re looking for a secure, spacious, and quiet site with hookups and a nice view.
