Easily accessible entry/exit point for kayaking or canoeing. Hiking, fishing, biking paths located within 10 miles of campground. No more than 2 parties will be on the property at one time, so you have plenty of peace and quiet in seclusion. Reserve your spot now! *************************************************************************************** Our farm is an agritourism/sheep farm that offers seasonal events, educational workshops, a petting zoo, Bed and Breakfast, farm store, and camping area! We are a working farm during the week but we allow campers to park on weekends or weekdays. The price is the same except the petting zoo and farm store are only open on weekends. We don't have hookups, so bring a generator if you need it. If you need to fill up your RV water tank, we charge $10. Each of the 3 sites has a fire ring and picnic table. A Grill Pavilion is available to rent for $20 extra. See photos. Propane, grill, table and party lights included. We allow check-ins during the week after 12 noon, perfect for folks passing through and just need a safe and quiet place to park for the night and not interested in visiting the farm store, the barnyard or the rest of the farm, which are closed during week. If you are looking for interaction with the animals, or need supplies from the farm store, we open from 10-4 weekends only. You can purchase feed for the animals for $1/bag then. We have sheep, donkeys, chickens, ducks, rabbits, turkeys, guinea pigs and geese!   While we are dog-friendly, we do not allow dogs closer to the petting zoo area. We offer a 1+ acre fenced in area next to the camping sites where you can allow your dogs off-leash. No extra charge. Our camping area is a large grassy field that will accommodate multiple tent campers, travel trailers, and RVs under 30' with room to turn around, stake your area, and not feel crowded. There is also 1 regularly maintained porta potty located in this area.

Weekend Trip to Brookhaven Mill Farm

Beautiful farm to visit with sweet animals to meet! Host was so helpful and informative. We loved shopping in the farm store. Very convenient location not far from the highway. We enjoyed our time there and were the only campers. My daughter and I felt very safe as there was plenty of light around the area for campers at night. Please note you should copy the address and put in whatever map app you use instead of clicking on the map link within Hipcamp because that takes you to the wrong location. The only downside was noise from someone target practicing on a Saturday night a distance away. I don’t think anyone staying in a RV would hear it. It didn’t go on too late but was kinda annoying to us because we were ready to go to sleep pretty early. I would recommend this campsite and paying to feed the animals. Very affordable campsite!

I loved camping on Cheryl’s farm! I was able to get fire wood from her and she had it ready for when I arrived. There was a picnic table and fire pit available in one spot but we were welcome to camp anywhere in the designated field. We weren’t able to see any animals because it rained but we still had a great time!

This is a great spot beside a canoeable river that has a put in about 2.5 hrs upstream. Teresa was very prompt with communication. I certainly hope to go back and would recommend it. I've camped at alot of hipcamp sites and this was definitely one of the better ones.

I can't say enough about this place and the owners. The site, was beautiful and there was plenty of room for activities. When we got there, they were unloading a huge load of wood for us, and came back the next afternoon and dropped off more. They were so nice and helpful, and even offered to take us and the kayaks up river so we could float down! We will be back here many many more times in the future, especially in the spring and summer to do some fishing! We did catch 3 bass in about 20 minutes, nothing big, but fun to catch.

Weekend Trip to Canaan Hills Campground

We absolutely loved our weekend here at Canaan Campground! It was very private, and we felt extremely safe there. Plenty of room to camp either by the river, or up by the main fire pit in the field. The owners, are what made this place perfect. They were extremely helpful, made sure we knew how to get there, and also kept us stocked with firewood. You couldn't ask for nicer folks. There's so much land here to run around on with the kids, or pets, and plenty of fishing available, right there at the site. I was able to catch 2 rock bass and one small mouth in about 20 minutes. We can't say enough about how awesome this place was, and we will 100 percent be staying here in the future.

I like to camp alone and this was a great spot (since no one was at the other campsite when I was there). It was peaceful and quiet, but not too wild and creepy. I loved camping on the water and being able to use the kayaks for free was a huge plus! I also enjoyed not having service at the site, but that's not for everyone. It's easy to pick up service once you leave the land. There is a grill, bench swing, porta potty, and a fire ring. Would recommend!

Weekend Trip to Basecamp_outdoors

I brought my friend for his first glamping experience to Basecamp_outdoors and it couldn’t have been better! There is every amenity here to make you feel at home. A full kitchen, hot shower, clean beautiful spacious tent with no bugs, a comfortable bed, a covered kitchen, an out house, a porch and a covered eating area. Plus lighting and heating and cooling. Everything is an easy unload from where you park your cars. Plus, there is an additional area down the path where there is a fire platform. Because it was hot, we skipped the fire and used it more as an extra patio and outdoor room. We spent a lot of time there immersed in the beauty of the forest and sky and listening to the birds and music. The main site is located nearer to the road and we hung a couple of tapestries in the lower eating area for a little extra privacy. The host was very thorough in giving us directions and sending a video to show us how to turn on and use everything. He also checked on us via text through the app to make sure we had everything we needed. It was easily accessible and there is plenty to do in the area as far as hiking and water features. If you’re considering this place, you should book it, I can’t imagine being able to find one better!
