We carved our 43 acre horse farm out of wild swampy land in 2007 and finished the barndeminium in 2008. We started with Hipcamp 6 years ago and enjoy meeting new people. My husband is retired from the Air Force and works full time doing the chores. I retired May 2024 from being a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner at Womack Army Medical Center. I have a side hobby making homemade jams, pickles and flavored goat cheese spreads. We love the peacefulness of where we live...although the weather chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, guinea fowl, peacocks, goats and horses do get a little loud come feeding time. We have different sites, please read each description or message me before you book a stay. All the sites have an 8pm latest check in unless you've stayed with us before. With the cold snap we have been experiencing the RV water source will freeze up over night. Please message me before booking the RV. Weekend Trip to Cedar Creek Campground at Elease

Beautiful, private and somewhat enchanted. We felt such a sense of peace here. From the first contact with Mike, we knew it would be special. Large, private lots were scattered throughout the wooded area. Very well landscaped and looking forward to returning when everything is in bloom. If this is any indication of what our retirement will be like, we’re ready to explore now. A lot of love and care has built this place and it shows!

Michael's treasure of a campground has become My Go-To stop over when I travel back and forth from Florida to visit family and friends. I think I've officially stayed there five times now. He is SO welcoming and thoughtful. The campground is beautiful, spots are pretty private and everything is spotless and so well kept!! Until next time! 🚐😊

Weekend Trip to Sugarneck Glamping Resort, NC

We were four families who spent a weekend at Sugar Neck, and honestly, it was such a perfect escape. Having the entire place to ourselves made it feel extra special — it’s an amazing setup for a group getaway. The tents are beautiful, super comfortable, and the bathrooms are neat, private, and way nicer than you’d expect for glamping. We couldn’t have asked for more. In fact, we loved it so much we’ve already booked another weekend for next week! The host was excellent at communicating and made everything smooth from start to finish. Highly recommend Sugar Neck for anyone looking for a peaceful, cozy, group-friendly glamping spot.

Cory is awesome and it was lovely camping among all the various animals. The camp itself was rustic and not fancy, and that suits me just fine! Had a lovely time. Will definitely go back if I'm in the area again.

Weekend Trip to Private Serene Camping

The site was lovely, but not as private as I’d hoped. I could see the neighbors, and hear everything from the neighboring campers on the other side of the barn. The property was beautiful. My dog really enjoyed walking around and seeing the donkeys and such. I never did locate the trail. If you pay extra for it, like I did, ask for specific directions for it.

Weekend Trip to The Pint Sized Pasture

Tent camping at The Pint Sized Pasture was a unique experience. We liked being able to take our dog off leash. We also really enjoyed the animals on the farm. A staff member brought out a few of the bunnies for us to hold and love on which was special. Walking around and getting close encounters with emu, alpacas and even Moses the Camel and a micro calf was special too. My kids loved the swings, giant sandbox and rolling barrel/track. There was a lot for them to do!

Weekend Trip to Animal Sanctuary and Peace Park

Cory's place is such a unique and fun spot. I took my 3 young kids here to enjoy the animals (second time) and it doesn't disappoint. They saw animals they've never seen in each life, and the campsite is set back just far enough that it feels private, but is close to the animals and restroom. We had a great time!

This has been a great getaway place for me to think and reflect. Much needed for a semi retired, professional, and the hosts Liz and Tom were most gracious. I grew up on a farm and this is more adventurous than mine from my childhood because they didn’t make me work. I got to watch. I recommend this place highly.

We stayed one night driving to Florida. The hosts were very nice people. Liz brought us some homemade apple jam and goat cheese with crackers. Yum! The place we camped at was next to the well house. It had electricity and water. The toilet was in the barn not far from our campsite. Good WiFi. The horses were beautiful. Thanks for the stay.
