Welcome to our cozy cabin walk out basement suite! Relax and enjoy a beautiful and peaceful country experience in a custom-built log home. We are closely located between Jordan and Harris Lake. There are many state parks, popular cities, and fun recreation in the surrounding area. We are just south of Apex, Cary, Holly Springs, and Pittsboro. Kick back by the outdoor fire pit and explore hiking trails, rivers, biking, playgrounds, boating, swimming, fishing, shopping, and great restaurants. The space Guest have access to the entire basement floor and back yard inside the fence. The double doors below the deck have a keyless entry code. Feel free to step in, settle in, and embrace everything New Hill and its surroundings have in store for you. We are excited to be your hosts and can't wait for your stay! The space is peaceful, relaxing, and outdoorsy. The basement is quite large and has everything you need. Enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of sweet tea in the rocking chairs on the patio or have an outdoor meal on the picnic table, as well as kick back for some afternoon relaxation time in the hammock. There is plenty of backyard space to toss a football or play cornhole. To ensure a hassle-free and cozy stay, we've got you covered with fresh sheets, pillows, towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, coffee, creamer, and spices along with essential supplies like toilet paper and paper towels. Your comfort is our priority—we've thought of everything to make your stay as relaxing as can be! Guests have access to the private yard inside the fence and access to the basement through a separate entrance down below the deck. Other things to note We have three young children (Ages 4, 6, and 8) that you may see outside or hear upstairs walking around. They are typically up by 7 am and in bed by 8 pm but are gone most of the day at school (unless it’s summer) and play outside often. We also have one black cat named Smokey who is very friendly and loves to socialize. If you’re not a fan of kids or pets then this may not be the space for you. Nightly rates vary based on specific dates. Weekends are priced higher. Discounts are automatically available closer to the arrival date. Single-night stays are automatically made available when those are the only remaining nights. Otherwise, a two-night minimum is required.

A family of 9 children were all born in the old farm house that has since burned when struck by lighPitch a tent in the wooded grove or hook up your RV to a shaded site completely covered by a 100 year old Pecan tree. Get farm therapy, ride horses, feed goats, dig in the garden or just hangout! Fresh eggs available in the chicken coop or goat milk based on timing. Bring your own horse, stalls available. Each wagon is equipped with calming sound machines that also double as bluetooth speakers to assist guests who may be bothered by sounds of nearby traffic. We currently have five covered wagons and one bath house. The property offers a community stone patio, firepit, grilling area, and large expansive lawn. The upper Cape Fear River flows below the property and Adirondack chairs and a few hammocks are conveniently located around the wagons and entire property for relaxation and pretty views! The Cozy Heron property shares borders a very popular river outfitter (Cape Fear River Adventures in Lillington, NC). Cape Fear River Adventures offers paddling classes, summer day camp, canoe/kayak/SUP rentals, and river tubing. Just a quick 2 minute walk from your covered wagon will also bring you to an on-site restaurant and bar: The Riverside Restaurant & Bar. The Riverside has a full bar, delicious, stone-fired pizza, smashed burgers, fresh salads and sandwiches, and more! They may also have live music performances throughout the spring and summer months. Raven Rock State Park is just a 15 minute drive away. Surrounding towns like Fuquay-Varina, Angier, and Holly Springs offer more shops and restaurants if Lillington doesn't have enough for you! Raleigh and all of its nightlife, museums, and markets is just 45 minutes away from The Cozy Heron Glamping.

We had such a wonderful time in Liz’s RV! Our kids (ages 6, 4, and 1) absolutely loved getting to see and pet and feed all of the animals. Baby goat Smidge and corgis Harrison Ford and Princess Leia were adorable, the horses were gorgeous, the atmosphere was fun and relaxing, and Liz was friendly and helpful. Definitely do the farm orientation tour!! If you want to do something more city-like, Fayetteville is just half an hour drive away and has a darling downtown and an amazing (and free!) Airborne and Special Operations Museum. The kids are already asking if we can go back to Miss Liz’s farm again!

The wagons were so nice and conveniently located right near the restaurant and water. The beds were super comfy, and the room was so cozy. The AC worked perfectly keeping the place cool. The gas black stone grill was a nice surprise!! The staff kept the bath houses fully stocked with towels and other essentials. And the restaurant next door was a huge hit. The staff was lovely and very accommodating for our large crew of 17 for lunches and dinners. We will definitely be back!! We had the best time!

We enjoyed The River Adventures each day. After a long day of play it was great having a vibrant, tasty restaurant to dine at! Can't wait to go back next year with our crew!!

We carved our 43 acre horse farm out of wild swampy land in 2007 and finished the barndeminium in 2008. We started with Hipcamp 6 years ago & enjoy meeting new people. My husband is retired from the Air Force and works full time doing the chores. I retired May 2024 from being a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner at Womack Army Medical Center. I have a side hobby making homemade jams, pickles and flavored goat cheese spreads. We love the peacefulness of where we live...although the weather chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, guinea fowl, peacocks, goats and horses do get a little loud come feeding time. We have different sites, please read each description or message me before you book a stay. All the sites have an 8pm latest check in unless you've stayed with us before. With the cold snap we have been experiencing the RV water source will freeze up over night. Please message me before booking the RV. We are constantly looking for ways to upgrade or make our farm more fun to visit.
