****Did I mention that this stream empties into Lake Tillary, yep, that is right. We are within walking distance to Lake Tillary and less than 5 mins to the boat landing. You may bring your boat and park it here while you camp.
SPECIAL NOTE: There are animals here that you may pet once you have been properly introduced. You may bring your pets as long as they are vaccinated and behaved. If they fight with other animals or chase chickens or ducks you may want to test this upon your arrival. Unfortunately, you must keep them on leash at all times. Our County does have a leash law, and should property🌱🌹🌻🚜🚗📬🗑or animals🦌🐂🐏🐐🐰🦃🦆 be damaged or harmed you will be held responsible. For example, if your dog kills a chicken, you buy the chicken🐓🐔🐥. If they harm a horse🐎 or donkey🐴, you are responsible for ALL vet fees. Also, be aware we have coyotes, osprey, hawks, as any rural area does. Small animals must be suprevised. We are not responsible for acts of nature.
The barn is beautiful and you are welcome to take photos, however, you are NOT permitted in the barn without supervision. Absolutley NO smoking or fire near the barn. It is over 100 years old and built by my great grand family and is irreplaceable.
SPECIAL FEATURE:
As I am just beginning the camp on site experience I offer several options and additional services.
#1. Some find out after arriving that I teach NC Concealed Carry Handgun Classes. If you wish to participate in a class, it is preferred that you register before the day of the class. I will post classes on this site so that campers will know there will be shooting in the late afternoon. Some chose to camp on other weekends, some choose to go out to eat during those times, and some don't mind either way.
#2. I am also much in favor of work for camp site. Some have asked to do clean up or other small jobs for the priviledge to camp. So far this has worked out well, with one exception. Please do not accept an offer to take on a task that you do not know how to do. Example, pulling weeds or trimming if you do not know what a weed verses flower looks like. LOL
#3. There is plenty of firewood, see photos, here laying around and some trees down that will make great firewood (bring your own cutting tools.) We also sell firewood by the bundle.
#4. Being a camper here gives you the privilege of fresh veggies and fruits that are in season, as well as fresh free range eggs.
MAJOR POINT:
You must remember this is a working farm and our duties and responsibilities for the farm come first.
You must abide by the boundaries. *see map* The creek is the back boundary and should never be crossed onto my neighbors. I will not tolerate any disrespect to my neighbors, what so ever.
No! the roosters don't have an off button, neither does the jacka... donkey! When it is hay cutting time, we will cut hay. If you want to hike the property, feel free, know the boundaries and bring a machete to cut your way by the creek/stream in some areas. We have thistle trees and briars, you are welcome to cut all you wish as you go. There are spiders, bugs, and snakes etc. Black snakes, king snakes, runners, and whip snakes belong here and we ask that you do not kill them. Copperheads are here as qell and if you see one, come get me and I will dispatch it for you.

Our farm is an agritourism/sheep farm that offers seasonal events, educational workshops, a petting zoo, Bed and Breakfast, farm store, and camping area!
We are a working farm during the week but we allow camping on weekends or weekdays. The price is the same except the petting zoo and farm store are only open on weekends.
We don't have hookups, so bring a generator if you need it. If you need to fill up your RV water tank, we charge $10. Each of the 3 sites has a fire ring and picnic table.
A Grill Pavilion is available to rent for $20 extra. See photos. Propane is included.
We allow check-ins during the week after 12 noon, perfect for folks passing through and just need a safe and quiet place to park for the night and not interested in visiting the farm store, the barnyard or the rest of the farm, which are closed during week.
If you are looking for a petting zoo experience or want to browse our farm store, we are only open from 10-4 weekends. However, we do offer camp side service for things like fresh eggs, sausage, ground beef, firewood, jams or honey. You can order those items through the app here, or once you arrive, you can send us a message through the app and we will deliver to your camp site. We accept card or cash.
While we are dog-friendly, we do not allow dogs closer to the petting zoo area. We offer a 1+ acre fenced in area next to the camping sites where you can allow your dogs off-leash. No extra charge.
Our camping area is a large grassy field that will accommodate multiple tent campers, travel trailers, and RVs under 30' with room to turn around, stake your area, and not feel crowded.
There is also 1 regularly maintained porta potty located in this area.
WHEN YOU ARRIVE: Turn into the driveway and up towards the house. You will enter the camping area through the open double gates on your left. Pull up to either site next to the blue porta potty.

Troutman is a very quaint southern town very close to Mooresville, NC. It is smack in the middle of Charlotte and Hickory! So you can enjoy the mountains or the city or both from ONE LOCATION!! We are within driving distance to Lowe's Motor speedway and very close to many race teams located in Mooresville.
The downtown of Troutman is a short drive from your camp spot and there is a grocery store, drug store and many privately owned restaurants, including Italian, German and amazing fried chicken at Julia's! There is an ice cream parlor too!! Another wonderful asset to Troutman is Daveste' Vineyard where there is live music often, and of course wine tastings! This beautiful vineyard is less than 10 mins away.

What a great campsite next to Hanging rock state park! The site felt very private and such a great view of the sunset and mountains. The hosts take great care of the property and leave ample cleaning supplies for the poop shed. There is a dollar general only a few minutes from the site. Was a very relaxing experience!

Sandra & Randy have done a beautiful job creating and maintaining this small campground. Nice, shady site with gravel, fire ring, picnic table and gravity chairs. Super clean real flush potty with sink & shower in adjoining space. The pavilion was also clean and a great spot to do dishes with very hot water. Sandra even comes around with complimentary koozies and cooling cloths for you to take home! Wonderful spot to spend a night or two.

My stay at this property was truly wonderful. The space is beautiful and thoughtfully crafted, with so many touches that make it feel special. Sitting on the swing overlooking the tall trees, relaxing in the hammock, and taking a cold outdoor shower made the whole experience feel grounding and restorative. It was the perfect reset during my road trip. Natellie is a fantastic host and communicated clearly throughout my stay.

We loved camping there, the woods by the creek was a peaceful place to set up the tents and hammocks to sleep. The water was a huge hit for the kids and even for the adults.
The only improvements I think would be good is a more stable fire grill. And the toilet situation was a little unique and not a big hit.
Overall lovely time and would return!

Another great stay at the farm! Weather was beautiful and the site was well shaded and very private. Bought chicken, rabbit, and eggs from the farm store and fished the pond. Also hit Sotrio, a winery and brewery in the area. Hosts were amazing as always!

This campsite is a hidden gem, assuming you define "gem" as "exactly what the listing said it would be." It was a perfect site four overnight getaway!!
The Infrastructure
The Creek: Perfectly little. Did creek things.
The Toilet: Mysteriously clean. I didn’t ask questions.
The Horses: Majestic, probably. They refused to socialize, opting to stay at a distance and aggressively stomp like disappointed parents.
The Terrain: Actually flat. Our two trailers and camper van fit without anyone sliding into the water. A perfect, low-stakes environment for the maiden voyage of my "new-to-me" teardrop camper.
The Fire Situation: There was a pit. There was wood. There was a trash can. 10/10 for basic thermodynamic compliance.
The True Authorities
The highlight was the canine union. Two dogs showed up immediately to supervise our setup, staring intently to ensure we didn’t compromise structural integrity or slack off.
One supervisor conducted a midnight audit while we were by the fire. She bypassed our perimeter, bypassed barking, and announced her presence via a cold, wet leg-lick while her eyes glowed in the dark. It successfully paralyzed one of our campers. Excellent security tactics.
The Verdict
It’s secluded in a shady holler with a nice breeze, yet close enough to grocery stores that you don’t have to cosplay *Cast Away*. We will be back—mostly because the dogs know what we look like now.

This was a wonderful camping experience. The site was exactly what we wanted…Creekside, deep woods, surrounded by wildlife and nature with access to a pond for fishing. We had two 8 person tents and one 4 person tent and a screened canopy for our “Kitchen” and there is room for more if you are creative. There is a metal ring firepit and a picnic table. The creek is shallow enough to walk and has easy access from this campsite. Cheryl was wonderfully responsive and went above and beyond to accommodate. There is a store up by the bathhouse at the pond where they sell their farm meats, a few conveniences such as ice, drinks, candy, fishing poles, and a small selection of camping accessories. Cheryl is more than happy to bring you ice and other things as needed on her golf cart. (we named it Cheryl‘s Insta-cart.)
You can rent fishing poles at the store. There is a small nice and clean bathhouse with a toilet that accommodates one person at a time. It is a drive or a bicycle ride from this particular site but worth it. There’s a bit of a wait in the evening when everyone is trying to get cleaned up before bed, so I would time yourself appropriately and be patient for the wait. It is a nice bonus commodity to have available for what is considered a primitive camping site. We absolutely loved everything about this land and will be booking again in the near future.

Our whole family absolutely loved our camping weekend. Cheryl was a fantastic host and very quick to respond to anything we needed. The camp store was well stocked and we were able to purchase local meat to have for dinner one evening. We will definitely be back!

Nice camping spot. It’s primitive but there are some nice amenities like fire pit and fire wood, portapotty along with office bathroom, fish eggs and meat for sale. The location is great with nice scenery by the water and the farm animals are adorable.

Stage campsite was great! We were close to the sheep and they were fairly quiet/inquisitive. Good amount of space between sites. Hosts are very friendly and accommodating. Certainly plan to visit again.
