We mow regularly and our rooster and chicken ladies wander far and wide eating bugs but, in the summer, they can't get every mosquito and tick so please plan accordingly for your own comfort.

We carved our 43 acre horse farm out of wild swampy land in 2007 and finished the barndeminium in 2008. We started with Hipcamp 6 years ago and enjoy meeting new people. My husband is retired from the Air Force and works full time doing the chores. I retired May 2024 from being a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner at Womack Army Medical Center. I have a side hobby making homemade jams, pickles and flavored goat cheese spreads. We love the peacefulness of where we live...although the weather chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, guinea fowl, peacocks, goats and horses do get a little loud come feeding time. We have different sites, please read each description or message me before you book a stay. All the sites have an 8pm latest check in unless you've stayed with us before. With the cold snap we have been experiencing the RV water source will freeze up over night. Please message me before booking the RV. We are constantly looking for ways to upgrade or make our farm more fun to visit.

Had such a great getaway at this site. The cabin was amazing, everything you could need. So much care and attention was appreciated. You don't need to bring anything other than some clothes and a few groceries.
The views were beautiful and the weather was great.
The bed was so comfy, I slept like a baby even with Jack hee hawing. 😄
Loved my stay and will be back!

This camp spot is so beautiful! The property has lots to explore, the cabin comes with everything you need so you can pack light. You can tell how much care and thoughtfulness has gone into this space. We loved meeting all the animals! The only downside is it’s close to a main road/highway so you easily hear the traffic. However, if you’re looking for somewhere close to restaurants, shopping, etc, this is perfect because you feel secluded enough but are minutes away from all of that. The owners were so kind and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Paul’s Golden Spot Hip Camp was a favorite location for us. We had gone up to NC to visit relatives and he was in a great location for a great price. We were happy to have water and electric hookup and a dump location when we were finished with our four night stay.
Gold Hill is a charming little town and has some nice hiking trails.
Paul is extremely friendly and helpful. His home is amazing!
We will choose his quiet and spacious location again if it’s available the next time we’re in the area.

Patrick & his staff were all so friendly & kind, & took the time to include our little one in their activities as there was a field trip during the first day of our stay. One of our favorite Hipcamps to-date! Only a one-night stay, but everything was PERFECT! Listing is exactly as pictured. Cute tiny home with comfortable bed and electricity was a plus (even provided a space heater for chilly nights). Bathroom was spotless and had an amazing shower. Felt very private, despite other campers being on the property. Host was friendly and proactive about providing all the information we needed for our stay. Highly recommend this spot; would gladly stay again (and hopefully longer next time!).
