You will be about 8 minutes to DuPont State Forest (my favorite hiking and biking area) which has miles and miles of hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails. The entrance to Pisgah National Forest is about 15 minutes away as well so it's a convenient drive to visit the forest and drive up to the Blue Ridge Parkway. I also own a company that guides "coffee hikes" to local waterfalls in DuPont State forest. You can find more about that in the photo descriptions. :) Please note!! My road up to my driveway is steep and bumpy. It’s only 0.3 miles up but bumpy. You don't need four wheel drive but higher ground clearance is recommended. (I have had small cars make it up but it is a bit intimidating if you are not used to driving in the mountains). if you have a small car just go slow. :) ------- Larger group? Want an indoor bath and shower?? If you are planning a larger group camping retreat and want to book the entire campground (including the main house with indoor shower, restrooms, and full kitchen and spare bedroom) I can make that happen for $500 a night. Beautiful location with a view of Table Rock located in the Historic Oolenoy Valley. Our property is located in Northern Pickens Co. of South Carolina. Plenty of trails, boating, biking in the area or just sit under your awning and enjoy the wildlife. Important please read! There is not evening shade in July and August, However, there are shady spots very close to the camp site that you can enjoy. Where your camper sits the Sun goes down at the front of the camper. It is typically not an issue until mid-July and August. If you need additional details, please contact me. There are two homes near the camp site. The one behind the site is our home. Just me and my wife, currently no pets. The other home is a small white farmhouse that I currently rent to close friends. Chris and his wife and two well behaved kids. The kind of neighbors' people dream of! In five years of renting this site I have only had one couple that felt uncomfortable with the homes on our driveway. I loved the small cabin #1 on Carrie and Tom's land. It was the perfect amount of space for two people. Tom was super friendly and made his rounds everyday to make sure we had everything we needed. The river was so close we could walk right down and fish. The grounds were well kept, clean and always kept warm in 20 degree low temps with plenty of heaters and an extra blanket to hang over our door for extra warmth. We will be coming back in the spring and summer and bringing friends for sure to enjoy with us! A+++++

This house was my grand mothers home place. The house is vacant now we use it for storage.

We loved our campsite! Hosts were friendly and helpful. We were right by the river just as the pictures showed and other campers weren't super close. There was a small play set for the kids and an easy hiking trail toward the end of the property. We were able to get firewood on the site and we had a great time!

Had a great time in cabin #2. This is a rustic cabin next to a stream. Waze GPS got us right to camp site. Tom the camp host greeted us shortly after we arrived and was so helpful on tips to keep cabin cozy. He also gave us a map and excellent directions to Dupont Forest. Camp restrooms/showers are a short walk from cabin. Port a potty even closer than restrooms. Camp ground has a good vibe. Front door didn't lock. Smore kit for extra fee was awesome, also some assorted snacks available. There is a small store nearby to get basics. No phone or internet service available at campground. Relax and unplug!

Great spot for camping. Especially if you want to be close to the entrance of Pisgah. Site 4 is pretty secluded, which was great for bringing the pups, and Hayden was friendly and very attentive to anything that came up. The two outhouses are clean and well maintained. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Had a great time camping and will definitely be back. Biking from the campground straight into DuPont was a treat. All amenities were as described. Heed the warnings about the gravel drive to the pond campsites; we made it fine with an AWD van but would be spicy in bad weather!

We car camped at the farm and it was so peaceful. The bathrooms/showers were very close. We had our own water/electric pump. When we needed assistance, Tracie helped us literally within 10 minutes, she is incredible. It was a beautiful and fun experience!!

Weekend Trip to Harmony Glen

Don't think, just book. The beauty of this place is what drew me to it. The kindness, and warmth June brings to this place is what makes you stay. Quite a magical stay, with the sweetest dogs and beautiful grounds to explore. Placed perfectly to explore surrounding hikes and waterfalls. June is an excellent host with a wealth of information about the area and history behind her place. If you're looking for somewhere quiet, clean, with excellent stargazing, book it.

Nice, pretty private sites and all the amenities we need for tent camping! Great location - very close to Pisgah Forest and tons of hiking or whatever mountain adventure you’re after. Quiet area, just a few dog barks and rooster which adds to the charm! Appreciate they offer supplies you might need in a barn on the property.

Weekend Trip to Highland Cow Off-Grid Treehouse

We enjoyed our stay the cabin is beautiful. The host are amazing. The mini Highlands are definitely the favorite of the trip. They enjoyed being groomed and petted and loved on. Look forward to a possible return trip in the spring.
