The Monguap River is close enough to be seen and heard from the cabin, but the adventure of getting there is half the fun! The Delaware River is only 2 miles from our location, and River rafting is a big business around here. A small artesian-fed creek runs right next to the cabin. It lends to the relaxing sounds of water with many quaint spots for you to dip your toes into, paired with a wood-fired tub that feeds off of the stream, which can only be explained by experience (weather-dependent). Our hot tub also pairs beautifully with our newest addition to the cabin, our sauna! Perfect for a cold plunge afterwards (more information in the add-on description)! A queen temper-pedic bed and super comfy overstuffed futon will assure a good night's slumber. The Record Room's covered outdoor kitchen is designed to extend the awesome vibes into every meal.. (I.E., Flat top grill, single burner, and stainless grate grill all powered by propane, cast iron frying pans, and utensils). Our outhouse is designed and maintained by the women of the family, and great pride is taken in making it a favorable experience. A small wood stove heats the Record Room on chilly mornings and nights. If you're looking for the fine line between camping and glamping, this is your place! We recommend having some prior camping expertise, and we must mention that there is no WiFi/ service. We have a few spots available for your friend circle to pitch a tent and enjoy the experience with you! A basic convenience store can be located three miles to the right of our property with all your basic needs (including gas). For your grocery shopping, a small family-owned market can be found within 10 minutes up the road. This campsite is nestled in the deep woods of a 120 acre farm that offers beautiful views coming and going. After being allowed to use the restroom at the stone farmhouse, you will then go rustic and start your 3/4 - 1 mile hike in (approximately 20 minutes to the campsite) past the fields and pond down the path into the woods. The trail is remote and you will instantly be able to leave the sights and sounds of civilization behind you and breath the clean forest air. Wear good hiking shoes because portions of the hike are uneven and rocky. This site is best for experienced campers who know how to pack light with just the essentials as there is no tractor service to this campsite. When you arrive at the campsite, you will be within 20 feet of a year round stream with brook trout and in a hundred foot tall hemlock canopy nestled between two brook meadows. A 9,000 acre forested preserve abuts our property so you will be able to completely relax, bird watch, enjoy the wildlife, or fish for a brook trout breakfast without hearing the sounds of anyone but yourselves. The campsite has a stone fire pit, split log benches for seating, a canvas privacy blind around a stand of trees where the composting toilet resides, and a food bag lift to attach your food and trash bags to about 100 yards from the campsite. Unlimited Split firewood is free next to where you will park that you can take down to the site. All trash needs to be carted out with you. We can't accept mixed trash as it will attract animals that will knock over the trashcans and make a mess. No food goes in our personal trashcans as we have learned this the hard way. The River's Edge campsites sit on the shoreline of the Delaware River at the western edge of New York State overlooking the mountains of Pennsylvania. Our canvas tents and open air platforms perch between the river and the former Delaware & Hudson Canal which was once was used to transport raw goods by barge to New York City via the 'port' of Port Jervis. The remnants of the canal walls are throughout the property including a 300 person theater which we created to both preserve and feature this industrial history. It also makes a great place for an event or a movie night. Today, the original canal towpath, along which barges would be pulled and floated downstream, is a trail that links all of the campsites over 5 acres and at the furthest end an eel fishing camp that is in operation from June to October (say 'hi' to Jim). In the early 1900s, the train replaced the canal as the primary method of moving goods into New York and if you are lucky — you will hear the train rumble by along the river on the Pennsylvania side. There is something spectacular in the absolute still and grandness of the river, the mountains and the ongoing industrial history of the valley. It is a reminder of the way things used to be. The farmhouse and cabins are located opposite the campsites on other side of route 97. Next to them are 50 acres of wild forest to hike and explore. These accommodations are great for guests who want more amenities but still with easy access to river. Pair campsites and cabins so that all your guests have their best experience. Our outhouse is designed and maintained by the women of the family, and great pride is taken in making it a favorable experience. After being allowed to use the restroom at the stone farmhouse, you will then go rustic and start your 3/4 - 1 mile hike in (approximately 20 minutes to the campsite) past the fields and pond down the path into the woods. The trail is remote and you will instantly be able to leave the sights and sounds of civilization behind you and breath the clean forest air. Wear good hiking shoes because portions of the hike are uneven and rocky. This site is best for experienced campers who know how to pack light with just the essentials as there is no tractor service to this campsite. When you arrive at the campsite, you will be within 20 feet of a year round stream with brook trout and in a hundred foot tall hemlock canopy nestled between two brook meadows. A 9,000 acre forested preserve abuts our property so you will be able to completely relax, bird watch, enjoy the wildlife, or fish for a brook trout breakfast without hearing the sounds of anyone but yourselves. The campsite has a stone fire pit, split log benches for seating, a canvas privacy blind around a stand of trees where the composting toilet resides, and a food bag lift to attach your food and trash bags to about 100 yards from the campsite. Unlimited Split firewood is free next to where you will park that you can take down to the site. All trash needs to be carted out with you. We can't accept mixed trash as it will attract animals that will knock over the trashcans and make a mess. No food goes in our personal trashcans as we have learned this the hard way. Our canvas tents and open air platforms perch between the river and the former Delaware & Hudson Canal which was once was used to transport raw goods by barge to New York City via the 'port' of Port Jervis. The remnants of the canal walls are throughout the property including a 300 person theater which we created to both preserve and feature this industrial history. It also makes a great place for an event or a movie night. Today, the original canal towpath, along which barges would be pulled and floated downstream, is a trail that links all of the campsites over 5 acres and at the furthest end an eel fishing camp that is in operation from June to October (say 'hi' to Jim). In the early 1900s, the train replaced the canal as the primary method of moving goods into New York and if you are lucky — you will hear the train rumble by along the river on the Pennsylvania side. There is something spectacular in the absolute still and grandness of the river, the mountains and the ongoing industrial history of the valley. It is a reminder of the way things used to be. The farmhouse and cabins are located opposite the campsites on other side of route 97. Next to them are 50 acres of wild forest to hike and explore. These accommodations are great for guests who want more amenities but still with easy access to river. Pair campsites and cabins so that all your guests have their best experience. No true trails are available, but you can be adventurous and hike further up the mountain, arriving to a clearing, providing you with a lovely mountainous view. This was perfect! We stayed for a night on a cool fall night. Lots of space, and included a picnic table and fire ring. The brewery was great (we were there on a Saturday) the portapotty is a bit of a walk from this particular site, but it wasn’t too bad! The farmers market was walkable, but also a short drive. Be sure to check out the farmers market while you are there! Would definitely stay again.

Phoenix Landing is the optimal camping spot for my partner and I (and cat). Though it was just the two of us, we had no issues with the camp site and felt very safe in the area. We decided to camp out there while enjoying Halloween festivities along the Hudson. The forest/stream, on the property is beautiful and there are many trails to explore. We brought our cat who loves walking outdoors on a harness & leash - we stayed very vigilant with her, but thankfully the most we encountered was a buck during our trip (1st week of Nov.). Mike's directions are very thorough and clear - DEFINITELY read his instructions for finding the property at first. He also provides a lot of supplies if needed, especially firewood for a small cost. Communication with him was also very pleasant and easy. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it by 1 more day 😊. Overall, we look forward to staying at Phoenix Landing again in the near future. NOTE: Needing a 4x4/ AWD vehicle is absolutely necessary to climb the property if choosing not to walk. We arrived in absolute pouring rain and thankfully our Land Cruiser had no issue. The climb / descent is definitely very fun, but if you have no experience with off-roading, it may be a bit difficult. Take it slow. Cheers! Thank you again Mike, and hope to stay again. 😸😸😸

We stayed at the Record Room Cabin this past weekend and absolutely loved it! The hot tub with warm water and hot tub made for such a unique experience — truly unforgettable. The sense of privacy and peace was perfect, and the vinyl record collection was just incredible. There's even a magnificent pool table under a canopy with a view of the forest – a truly stunning sight. I agree with all the comments above. This is truly an amazing place! I really hope to come back again!

Absolutely stunning skies and blustery mornings. Must-visit farm store woth products grown, picked, and packed in-house. Friendly staff and semi-private sites with ample space between the neighboring fire pits. Nearby some stunning hiking (Minnewaska and Mohank) and great eats (Bacchus in New Paltz especially recommended for vegetarians, beer lovers, and billiards). Just a wonderful getaway.

Wright’s farm is a beautiful location for tent or RV camping. There are several different sites to choose from. I was there at the end of October and all were quiet with beautiful views of the apple orchards and surrounding areas. There is a farm store on site that has all sorts of goodies. And a brewery open on the weekends. Will definitely be back to explore more of this beautiful area.

My sweetheart and I had such an amazing time at The Record Room. We stayed for 3 nights and we wish we had one more! It was a cozy getaway that felt timeless. We loved setting the vibe with the records, dancing in the living room, and just enjoying some slow, peaceful days. It was cold when we went and one day was particularly rainy, but there is a lot to enjoy indoors and the fireplace kept us warm and cozy. One thing to note is that the wood provided is rather thin and burns fast. For this reason, heating the hot tub and keeping the indoor fireplace lit is a JOB! We had to add every 15 minutes or so. Our recommendation is to start early on the hot tub and bring some of your own logs as well - even better if they’re the big fire-starter ones. Overall it’s a special place. Masen and his family are great hosts and we hope to make it back again someday.

Great location! Just a 10 minute drive from Mohonk Mountain trails which we hiked before setting up camp. We arrived around dinner time and were able to snag a bite and drink at the brewery and listen to awesome live music! The staff were very lovely in both the brewery and attached market. Stayed at the Stonehenge site which was easy to find and equipped with a fire ring and picnic table. Porta potty with sanitizing station was located a short walk away which was convenient even in the dark. There was another group camping in our area but they’re so well spaced that it felt private. If you’re a stargazer, this site is stunningly unobstructed. Would stay again!

Perfect for a weekend escape from the city. The cabin was spacious and spotless, and the restroom was well-maintained. No service, water, or electricity, but firewood was ready for us, and the nights under the stars were amazing. The host was friendly and easy to communicate with, and check-in/check-out were very flexible and smooth. It felt a little pricey for a basic setup, but we still really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking to disconnect and recharge in nature.

Perfect for the large group camp out or the family site. The Lean-to is approximately 10'x9', large enough for a small tent or keep the picnic table in there for bad weather. Though the base fee covers up to 4 campers, the site accommodates up to 14 campers. The additional fee is $20.00/per camper per night on top of the base fee. Our drive up camp has a 10X12 covered tent platform, several individual tent sites with private fire rings, as well as a bunkhouse and a leanto for day use. The camp table and cook pit are covered from the elements. For toilet use, we have a CleanWaste loo which is a 5 gal bucket in a toilet seat box. You lift the lid, place a CleanWaste bag in the bucket which has a kitty litter like powder called Poo Powder in it. You do your business, the powder absorbs all the odor and gels all the matter. When done, you lift the seat, take out the bag, tie it up and throw it in the trash. There are camp rules about how to handle trash, recycling, and compost so as to minimize the possibility of black bear visits. Follow those rules so as to avoid a penalty fees of $50.00 if trash, recycling, and compost are not followed. A detailed message about trash, recycling, and compost practice will be sent to campers days before the booked trip. Seasoned bundled 16" firewood is available by honor box cash payment on Brown rd across the camp entry road.

At Butternut Grove Campsite, you can enjoy various amenities such as a heated bath house with hot showers, laundry, quality firewood delivered to your site, handmade "Flies by Greg" for purchase, kayaks and tubes for rent, propane gas available on-site, fire ring and picnic table at each site, bag ice, water and electricity at each site with 30 amp and 50 amp electric, Wi-Fi, winter storage and winterizing for RVs, dump station on-site, honey-wagon services available, and a fly fishing guide named Joe Rist who is the head and owner of Trout Town Flies.lies
