The main property is fenced in, with a large back field great for tent camping, and an orchard to explore that can also double as hammock camping. There is parking for cars and bikes. We try to minimize our impact on the environment as much as possible, and encourage our guests to compost, recycle, and dispose of waste accordingly. Please note we have dogs, including a Livestock Guardian Dog that does bark to alert us of new people and warn off would be predators. KSJoy’s property was as described and a nice spot to hang out for a couple of days before the busy holiday season kicks in. Full electric hookup. No water this time of year (was just shut off last week). Nice area. Drove around. Followed the host’s recommendations for local food. Great advice! Had our four dogs with us. The property is close to a fairly busy road so having good recall (or we brought a fencing system) is essential. The road noise Fri-Sun in mid Nov. was not an issue. The host was very communicative and answered all questions but was hands off which we liked. Highly recommend.

Easy to find with Google and written directions. The property is secluded and ideal for camping with close access to local trails. Mary and Victor were very nice and when asked were flexible to let us stay in the converted trailer due to weather. The horses were amazing and friendly to bet! Great experience and definitely will return and recommend.

Quiet and comfortable- great location. The camp sites are in the same field, but far enough apart for some privacy. The privies were clean and the hot outdoor shower was great after long days hiking!

Weekend Trip to Camp Newportant

Jim and Amy’s spot might not be the traditional Hipcamp setting (it’s in their driveway) but it’s the perfect place to explore Newport if you’re in an RV. Just park and you’re a short walk to downtown and the water with easy access to drive the famous Ocean Drive. And as hosts, you won’t find any better. Experts on the area/history and always willing to assist with anything you need…and don’t miss out on the campfire experience in the backyard—it’s a great hang!

Stayed overnight in the remodeled horsetrailer in the field. Quiet. Large enough for 2 adults and 2 dogs. Hosts were nice and the horses were beautiful.

1 night at The Sandbox Campground

Great spot to stop for a few days and catch up on some remote work on the road. We invited Brendan to stop by and got a personal tour of the Sandbox beach volleyball facility and new amphitheater currently under construction. Really close to historic Mystic and Stonington, as well as, some pleasant short hikes! Brendan was very nice and accommodating. We're hoping to pass through next year to see the progress on the theater project!

Weekend Trip to Humble Farm with Simplicity

This campground is amazing! If you want a place that is serine and private, this is the place for you. Mary and Victor are super hospitable and accommodating. They keep the outhouses clean and the campsites are roomy and comfortable. It’s a beautiful property with gorgeous horses. Thanks to the hosts for a wonderful stay!!! I recommend this to anyone who likes true camping as there are no hookups, but gorgeous serenity and peace.

3 nights at Glamp Frogmore

Justin and Amy are very friendly and responsive to any questions. They give very detailed instructions before arrival. The campsite is peaceful and comes with so many amenities, packing was so easy. Getting an add on of a cooler full of ice was so great, the ice lasted the whole time we were there!

Perfect if you live around hartford and want a quick getaway spot. Very acominating. Private but not far from food, beaches, and shopping. We got there when it was dark out so it was helpful that all we needed to do was set up the tent, they had everything else you could need there.
