In colder weather the space is heated with a Rinai propane heater. The whole yurt is yours to use as well as the associated porch/outdoor space and firepit. Wood-fired sauna (Available November - April if we're around during your stay. Please let us know if you're interested when you book and then coordinate timing when you arrive. No guarantees however...) Did I mention that our property abuts the 4,000 acre Bristol Cliffs Wilderness Area? Notch Brook and the New Haven River, which are just down the road from us, provide ample fishing and swimming opportunities. Are you interested in sampling Vermont’s famous brews, wines and spirits? We’re 5 minutes from the Bobcat Cafe and 15 minutes from Middlebury where you’ll find Otter Creek Brewery, Lincoln Peak Vineyard and other breweries and distilleries. Are you curious about how maple syrup is made? We’d be happy to give you a tour of our 750 tap sugaring operation and samples of our syrup, candy and other maple confections. Please note that the Yurt is about seventy five feet from our house on a working tree farm in a rural - residential neighborhood. We are generally very quiet and you will have all the privacy you desire. We do have a young daughter that likes to play outside in our yard, we do occasionally run tools and equipment and there is occasional road noise. If you are looking for a true wilderness type experience away from it all, this likely isn't the best option for you.

Ski resorts are 45-90 mins away 600 acre State park with miles of trails right around the corner. Burlington is 15 mins away for shopping and local flavor, beers, and food. Montreal is 90 min away. Champlain islands and boat ramps close by Guest access Access is through our yard. Feel free to hang out by the tiny house once there or explore the gardens and pond and trails around the property. Other things to note There is no running water at the tiny house. There will be water available in a 5 gallon camping style container. Feel free to refill at the house if needed. No shower available in the winter months. Will be set up once we thaw out completely. Bathroom is an outhouse. Directions for use in the outhouse.

Our kitchen comes stocked with oatmeal, cinnamon, sugar, cooking oil, and some spices for your stay. There is a tabletop air fryer/toaster oven. We offer a fully stocked coffee and tea bar, but bring your own creamer if you need it!

Paige and I had a wonderful time at Scott’s site! The views were incredible, beautiful sunrises and sunsets were had. The site itself had a lot of great amenities and was well maintained. Scott was a phenomenal host who quickly answered any of the questions we had and gave us plenty of privacy. Plenty of great trails to hike around just a short drive away. Would highly recommend having a larger vehicle like an SUV to get to the site and navigate the terrain. I drive a Toyota rav4 and got around just fine. Would definitely recommend this site, we had a phenomenal time.

The Fords went above and beyond to make our stay special—bringing us warm water for showers and even surprising me with cupcakes for my birthday. They truly think of everything, making it a completely carefree glamping experience. We loved exploring Dunkley Falls and jumping into the Black Hole, both just a short walk from camp. Weekend Trip to Karley's Cabin

We loved our stay at this little cabin. It is well equipped and cozy. We enjoyed nice nights on the porch with the chiminea, cooked out on the grill and used the fire place for chilly mornings. The kitchen is well equipped and once you get used to the rain water for cleaning and spring water for drinking and cooking it’s pretty straightforward. The canoe availability with all the accessories to load it on your car to explore local lakes and ponds is an amazing amenity. The location is also great to explore the Adirondacks. From there we were able to canoe and fish, hike the Paul Smith’s VIC, have nice meals and swim in Saranac Lake, Zip-line in Lake Placid and, of course, sample the daily ice cream flavor at Donnelly’s. All this in just 3 days with the cabin’s great location. We would definitely stay here again when back in the Adirondacks region.

Amazing! 100% recommend. My son and I went white water rafting nearby and found this amazing site for two nights of camping. Absolutely everything has been thought of and it is clear the owners have invested significantly in making this an idyllic spot. The kitchen area is fully stocked and the tents are extremely spacious. Being able to drive or walk down the road to the Black Hole was a highlight. The owners were kind and hospitable and I would recommend this to anyone. Perfect location for family or friends gathering.

It is a lovely, peaceful yurt. It was perfectly clean when we got there. It is a fun place to play games in. It is better for the environment, and the loft bed that I slept in is very comfortable. I was glad that I brought my own soft towels, but other than that, it was a perfect place to stay. Bristol is a very friendly town.

My husband and I had a great experience at The Cabin (Karley’s Cabin). It was really clean, cozy and relaxing. The location was perfect for Paul Smith’s Reunion, the day trips, and hikes we took. The outhouse was not an issue, clean, well lit, and close to cabin. If you camp or boat the water situation is easy, and there was a lot of potable water to drink and rain water for everything else. We look forward to visiting again.

Everything you need is truly provided. Sue and Jim were great hosts making sure we stayed comfortable. Our two dogs loved running around the property. Sleeping in a canvas tent with a real mattress (king size) was awesome for my pregnant (3rd trimester) wife!

The cabin was a nice experience, roomy, and had everything needed. The screened in porch was great, gave us some shelter from the critters and the firepit helped as well! Kitchen area is very usable, one hotplate was handy but if you plan to do significant cooking bring a stove. Fit 4 people between the full bed, the futon, and the included cot. Firewood and eggs were a nice touch!

We had a lovely stay at Scott’s tent. The view was absolutely beautiful and made the entire stay worthwhile! It was also such a perk having a flushing toilet and creek water for washing. If you’re thinking of booking Scott’s tent, a couple of things to note: Although there is a road that takes you close to the tent, you have to park in a designated parking area which requires about 200 feet of an uphill hike to get your things to the tent. The paths were a little overgrown and the road up was a little tricky. We had no issues in our Jeep Wrangler, but I probably wouldn’t want to drive the road in anything with lower clearance or a much wider body. You can hear the highway at the site, but we got used to it after the first day. There is a flushing toilet in a tent not too far from the main camp, which we loved having available! The site is also very private, which we loved! All in all, as long as you feel comfortable with the drive and hike up, this was a nice spot to spend a long weekend.

It has room for 2 cars or a truck and a boat. It has a grill and the firepit in the front yard on the gorgeous patio with the best view of the lake!! This unit is a 2 bedroom unit with a king in one bedroom and a twin over a pull out full size futon bed. It has a loft that fits 2 adults, a table that can be turned into a bed and a pull out futon bed in the living room. Guest access You will be able to use the area directly in front of your stay. You are also welcome to use the area in the middle of the front lawn of the park for games. Feel free to use the lake and our rocky beach directly in front of the park and down the hill.
