We hope you enjoy Pooh's Corner as much as we enjoy having all of you great Hipcampers sharing our beautiful Fingerlakes Region with us.
Pooh's Corner lies in a rural area just 1.5 miles from Watkins Glen. (3315 County Road 28, Watkins Glen, NY 14891). We took great care to make sure each campsite is PRIVATE (parking on-site*) and the trails are easily navigable. Our 'Welcome Shed' is equipped with a compost toilet, local information, (newly added) Hot Water Station, first-aid kit, charging station, bug spray etc. and is located in a safe, well lit, open area on the property. Each site is equipped with a fire pit and comfortable seating with tables, chairs, and/or picnic tables and tripod grills. Firewood is available on a donation basis.
There are State Parks and places to hike one of the many gorges around beautiful Seneca Lake and surrounding area. Take a tour of the many wineries and breweries which our region is famous for. Enjoy hiking, swimming, biking, kayaking, and many historical sites to see. Our reviews tell it all. We know you'll love it here :)
*PLEASE NOTE: Our sites are custom made for TENT or CAR camping. Because we have "parking on-site", Large RVs, Campers (over 16'), and any 5th-wheel campers are very difficult to place since there are no easy ways to back in or turn around. We highly recommend "Havana Glen State Park" (same general area) for those types of camping units.

Come unplug and enjoy an abundance of wildlife, on-site trails and stargazing. We are located in the Finger Lakes Region with all the wine you can taste! While here you should visit all the waterfall trails you can! The Watkins Glen Gorge Trail is our favorite! The Finger Lakes Trail (FLT) is walking distance from "The Hollow" and so is a natural spring. There are horseback riding and mixed use trails in the area. Bring or rent a kayak to paddle any of the several large nearby lakes! Plenty of fishing in the area too! There is a modern outhouse with shower, flushing toilet and sink with running water a reasonable walking distance from each site. A portable camp toilet is at your site due to the elevation. Every site has a fire ring and seating. Bundles of firewood are available for purchase and can be onsite prior to arrival if we know ahead of time.
Owned by military veterans who love the outdoors and live on site in off grid cabins. If you are looking for a place to unplug, this is the place for you!

WE ALLOW A MAXIMIUM OF 4 CAMPING GROUPS AT A TIME. We have 8 sites to choose from but, due to Town rules more than 4 camping any given night is tooo many. So, 4 acres 4 camping groups. We are advertising a "RUSTIC CAMPING EXPERIENCE". This isn't the state or county owned or run site. We want you to come and be clean and considerate and have a great experience! I walked many lots over the previous several years and this pasture was perfect. This location is a work in progress. The pictures are over a few years and when you get there the hay could be high, it could have just been cut.

Minglewood Camp is a place we built so people could escape from the hustle of our busy lives and find some peace in nature.
The cabin was built with respect for the environment. We constructed it with locally harvested and milled lumber and approached the build with minimal impact on the surrounding forest. The cabin is off grid and uses a small solar panel which charges a battery for the water heater and a light. We utilize rain water for the shower and sink which collects in a large tank. The bathroom functions with simple composting toilet. (Woodchips in a bucket)
The property is situated beside a creek and 90 acres of hardwood forest which campers are welcome to explore.
the cabin is hidden about 3/4 of a mile off the road behind a small mobile home park and is completely secluded and campers will have total privacy.

You will find breathtaking moments beneath one of the park’s 12 waterfalls. Twelve! Hike along nine miles of trails in Enfield Glen, a rugged wooded gorge that will leave you wide-eyed with wonder. Take in views of the 115-foot Lucifer Falls from the gorgeous Gorge Trail or explore a Historic Gristmill.
Probably the park’s coolest attraction is a natural swimming pool at the base of Lower Falls. It’s perfect for a hot summer day and even has a diving board! This is a beautiful piece of property located in the heart of the Finger Lakes and Wine Country of NY. It features a stunning spring fed waterfall and nice forest land. Very close to town but also very secluded and private. Great place to unwind and relax from our everyday lives. It is situated however in a gully next to a creek and waterfall so it is susceptible to heavy rains. It is recommended to at least have an AWD vehicle if rainy. I can usually help campers with getting to the site in my side X side if you need to park up at the pasture. Please order enough wood initially as I have found I spend a lot of time delivering extra wood to campers. It seems as if you will typically go through 2 bundles per night on average. Also I supply a contractor size garbage bag to you if you choose garbage removal. It is also a good idea to text me when you have a solid ETA so I can be here to take you to the site. I want to mention that the two sites closest to the waterfall are a slight hike in and can only accommodate up to 4 person tents so if a bigger group or vehicle camping you will be placed at another site. Parking on the property is a very short accessible walk from the tent site. There is a fire pit at the site and guests may access our personal kitchen garden for greens and veggies. A private bathroom and shower with free laundry (yes, I said free laundry!) and drinking water is available for use by guests in the main house. Wheelchair users will need a ramp in order to access the main house; we don't have one at this time, unfortunately.Our site is a great location to serve as an affordable hub for experiencing all that Cayuga and Seneca Lakes have to offer. In addition to being surrounded by wine country, we're located in what's known as the Emerald Necklace: an arc of more than 50,000 acres of conserved land abound with ways to spend time in nature. We are just a 5 minute drive or 20 minute bike ride from the small town of Trumansburg, home to the Tompkins County Fairgrounds (where Finger Lakes Grassroots Festival is held) and some of the best local waterfall swimming holes, to which we can give you detailed directions. Taughannock Falls State Park, Finger Lakes National Forest, and the Seneca Lake Wine Trail are all within a short drive or bike ride from the site. A 20 minute drive east will bring you to downtown Ithaca, where you can visit the renowned Ithaca Farmer's Market, Cornell University, Six Mile Creek, and plenty of bars and restaurants. Ithaca is also home to series of serene swimming holes at the base of waterfalls where locals and visitors relax during the summer. If you choose to go west you'll end up in Watkins Glen where you can check out the 200-foot cliffs and 19 waterfalls of the dreamlike landscape at Watkins Glen State Park, known as one of the best state parks in the U.S.We are both very experienced backpackers, cyclists, and bikepackers. Kimberly is a bike organizer and routemaker who runs Radical Adventure Riders Finger Lakes, a community for BIPOC and FTWN-B (femme, trans*, women, non-binary) bikepackers. She's happy to provide guidance on road, gravel, and mountain biking in the area and share her library of local bike routes. We have a work stand and tools available to fix any small issue you might have on your bike as well. We can also tell you about the hiking, backpacking and cross country skiing in the local area, much of which can be accessed by a 10 minute drive to Finger Lakes National Forest.We ask that those who stay on their property please respect the space and the land. We have a small, delicate ecosystem with newly-planted fruit trees and shrubs, so please minimize your impact on existing vegetation, trees, and soil. I loved the quiet serenity of this campsite. You can tell a lot of care went into it. There were lots of thoughtful touches like a broom to sweep out the lean-to, a first aid kit in the lean-to and in the privy (which is immaculately clean), hooks to hang stuff up, and clearly marked paths from the lean-to to the parking pad and privy.
I only stayed one night and it was raining, so I didn't make a fire, but it looked like a good set up with log seats and wood available for burning.
I had a chance to meet David, Roxanne and their sweet dog. Good vibes all around.

We had a great time at Craig’s Land. The variety of trails, ponds, and sites to explore filled our night there. The composting toilet was clean with no odor, and just a short walk from the Secluded Spruces site where we stayed. The land was far back from the road, the stars were bright, and an owl sang to us in the evening. 10/10, would stay again.

This is a wonderful campsite! I’d highly recommend anyone who has the chance to an enjoy a night on David’s land. The shelter is beautifully built and fit our tent perfectly, which saved us from some late night showers. There was a good amount of firewood and tinder supplied by the hosts. The highlight was definitely hearing the icon call of the Barred Owl before bed!

Valley View is a convenient spot that's close to much of what the finger lakes has to offer. Chris was a responsive and friendly communicator. As stated in the description, it is rolling pasture, so finding a level spot with our 24' RV was tricky, but possible. Our friends in their vintage Westfalia van had a little trouble getting up the first hill. It was dark and a little frozen, but they DID get up. Get there before dark if you've never been. The interior roads are windy and very rolling. The spots give some privacy with the distance, but you can still see each other. If in a tent, you can pitch in a more secluded spot. V-View is perfect for those who want the feel of camping out with a big sky, yet close enough to civilization. Viewing the valley town and spotting the Montour Falls off in the distance is a treat. Bring your binoculars! We didn't get the best sunsets during our stay, but I imagine they can be spectacular from these sites. It's very rustic as described. We saw deer and there is proof of them all around the property, so don't be surprised. ;) Since our trip was in November, we were disappointed that the Gorge trail was closed, but we did the Rim Trail and it was still beautiful. Visiting and exploring the local towns was easy with lots of art and craft galleries, brew pubs and college town vibes. All in all, a good stay at a great price. Thanks, Chris!

We had such a great stay! The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, and their sweet pup made the visit even better. The campsite itself was wonderful: spacious, private, and stocked with plenty of firewood, which made our evening around the fire super easy and relaxing. We also got to enjoy some beautiful fall foliage during our stay, which made the experience even more special. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful and well-kept spot to unwind!
