Wild River Oasis by Ojo Hot Springs
4 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents3 acres · La Madera, NMLearn more about this land: Lush high desert river oasis nestled in a fertile valley in the Carson National Forest right between the fiery expanse of Taos and the rolling colorful formations of Abiquiu. Peaceful & private 3 acres right by the river at the edge of a little quaint town called La Madera (145 people, no shops)- just 6 miles to the healing mineral Hot Springs of Ojo Caliente. Right by the river, held by a ridge (that makes for amazing sunset hikes), I have a 16ft Yurt Canvas Tent set up with some furnishings (desk, couch, wash stand) and a wooden Queen Bed with bedding. This site can only be reached by foot across the river via stumps- a car can be parked near by.. approx. 50ft.    Guests may use the bathroom in the main house.  +++ 6 miles to Ojo Caliente Hot Springs. There you will find the best restaurant in the area, with locally/organically farmed produce. Very yummy!  The land is naturally & beautifully wild- it is not a manicured campsite. The dirt rd down to the property is best suited for higher clearance vehicles, but is manageable for city cars.  Waterhole, Waterfall and climbing sites near by, as well as Plaza Blanca, Abiquiu, Ghost Ranch and the Taos Gorge are 30 mins drive away.  *No cell service in the greater area. WiFi reaches all the way to the river site/or trailer sites and allows for WiFi Calling: that’s a setting in your phone that enables phone calls & texts beside usual internet access.

3B Farms Private Campground Property lines
Booked 1 time
Jeff's Fly Fishing Heaven
3 sites · RVs8 acres · Los Ojos, NMProperty is a total of 17 +/- acres of land with approx 8.5 acres WEST of the Rio Chama (where the house is located) and with the remaining approx 8.5 acres EAST of the Rio Chama (where approx 3.5 acres is dedicated for the 3B Farms Private Campground and the remaining 5 acres is dedicated as farmland with greenhouse).  The EAST property has, to my knowledge, never been farmed.  The 5 acres that is currently half tilled for crop use was historically flooded with an estimated 1.5 - 2.5 million gallons of spring water (spring is located up on easternmost part of the EAST lot up on the hill right next to NM 95).  In order to control the flooding of the cropland I had to rent an excavator in order to dig 3 water diversion ditches during the Fall of 2019.  It took approximately 6 months from the Fall of 2019 to the Spring of 2020 in order to drain the millions of gallons of spring water. In April 2020 I, with the help of my brother Chris, built the 16' x 60' greenhouse for an experiment in the cultivation of hemp (which was allowed on the Federal level with the passing of the 2018 Farm Bill.  Interestingly enough the last commercial hemp farm in the US was planted in Wisconsin in 1957.  Hemp farming was eventually officially banned altogether in 1970 with the passage of the Controlled Substances Act in which hemp was included as a Schedule 1 drug, grouping this crop with drugs like heroin and LSD.Our growing of hemp was frought with many problems which was out of our control and as such we have decided not to venture into hemp. This growing season (2021) I will be embarking on yet another crop experiment with fruits and vegetables.  It is my intent to provide farm fresh fruits (such as strawberries, melons, cantaloupes, etc) as well as farm fresh vegetables for the Farmer's Market in Chama on Fridays during the summer and fall.  I will be offering campers fresh fruit and produce once it becomes available.  I am also an experienced beekeeper and as such I will also have fresh, local honey for sale to any campers who are interested in purchasing a jar or two.Unfortunately, the property is currently for sale since my father, a decorated RF-4C Phantom pilot and Viet Nam Vet (Silver Star, Distinguished Fying Cross, and Air Medal) is critically ill and is needing to move closer to his blood doctors in Denver.  I have been his full-time care-taker for the last 2 years.I wish to thank you, my campground campers, from the bottom of my heart for your patronage.  If any of you wish to get a short lesson in beekeeping please just ask.  I would be happy to teach you a little about the much needed effects that our friends the bees have on our EVERYDAY existence.Best Regards,Jeff Bebber
