Secluded from it all! This private 7 acre land sits at 10,500 feet in the Sangre de Cristo mountain range. Surrounded by blue spruce and aspen trees with wide-open views of the skies for maximum star gazing. Roads in are graded dirt best accessed by 4x4 or all-wheel drive. It can get muddy during rain storms and snow is possible during the summer. Drive right in to access multiple flat spots to setup your site. Views are plentiful! This is as rugged as it gets. This high alpine location provides stunning views and endless chill time. This location is smack-dab in the middle of one of the largest elk herds in the world. There are plenty of deer, bear and the occasional moose. This is steep country - bring your trekking poles! There is plenty to explore on the land, plus miles of hiking on Forbes road. You'll be roughly and hour away from the Great Sand Dunes National Park, 40 mins from Ft Garland, under 2 hours to Taos, NM, and Mountain Home Reservoir is just down the road - great fishing! Ideal tent spot with room for multiple families.

Located near the base of Mt. Blanca, a beautiful 14'er - and close to the Great Sand Dunes, wildlife and nature preserves, and reservoirs. Camp sites are located just 1 mile from the base of the mountain. The entire property is a hummingbird sanctuary, so your chances of seeing hummingbirds is quite high! We are also next to the elk migration crossing, so you could see elk, deer, pronghorns, or even get a visit from one of the wild horse packs in the valley! This is a great location if you want to be close to things, but feel like you're far away! Lots of athletes come to this area to train at the higher altitude! Visit the town of San Luis (the oldest town in Colorado), hop over to Antonito and check out the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic railroad, hit the UFO tower in Hooper, or just lounge on your campsite and get the best view of the Milky Way you've ever seen! this was an awesome spot! i don’t think there were any other campers when we went so it felt like we truly had the whole place to ourselves! the mountain view was absolutely incredible, and the open night sky was spectacular to see! our dogs absolutely loved it, didn’t want to leave! temperature was great, didn’t need electric hookups. was a little windy, but nothing some bungee cables couldn’t fix! the host was also very kind and detailed with instructions, and allowed an early check in. overall this was spot was awesome and i would highly recommend!

Quintana’s land was absolutely stunning. The views were amazing. It was real windy the night we pulled in and set up. The next morning was spectacular. I would definitely recommend if your wanting to get away from the city life.

The location was ideal for access to the Great Sand Dunes and had an excellent view of the sunset and Mt. Blanca. It was very nice to have space for our group to spread out and not worry about bothering others in a campground.
