Recent Hipcampers say this Hipcamp is great for families and kids.
This is a non-smoking, no candle facility. The camp was founded 40 years ago as a summer camp for kids. Now we welcome adults, and other groups to enjoy the vast and wild high desert nature up on this ridge. There are beautiful views and access to Shaggy Peak, the southernmost tip of the Rocky Mountains and the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range. Wander our land to enjoy various level hiking trails including a 20 minute hike to a creek and waterfall in the forest (some steep spots and creek is intermittent) or climb up Shaggy Peak (seasoned hikers only please). NOTE: We are up 1.3 miles of dirt road and are not near public transportation so you will need your own vehicle! Be aware that the roads can be snowy, icy or muddy and rutted ( 4-wheel or All-trak recommended in certain times of year). We don’t guarantee the road will be plowed.

RV stay at Treehouse Camp
Camped one night. Dirt gravel lot. Mostly level. Met by host upon arrival. Host showed us our camp area. Clean rest rooms and showers. No hookups available. Dry camping only. Had to pack out own trash as a requested. No trash dump available. Dirt road leading to camp not a problem for us but if road is wet or snow covered may be difficult. Overall found this Place a little pricy for amenities that were offered.

Beautiful Views, Quiet Vibes
Camping here was great! The ride in was a little bumpy (part of the road is not paved) but once I was in the camp it was all worth it. I opted for dispersed camping and picked a site at the back edge of the property. My stay was blissfully quiet and so relaxing. Ciana was super helpful during check in and gave me a great overview of what to expect. There was a port-a-potty near my site that was immaculate, one of the cleanest I have ever used. There is also a bathroom/shower building that I used a few times while onsite. The showers were warm and the facilities clean and inviting. I highly recommend staying here, especially if you are looking for a centering and peaceful stay. Nothing but good things to say about this location!

RV stay at Treehouse Camp
November Santa Fe trip.
Loved the property. Ciana was a great host. We arrived after dark and she was outside waiting for us. She took us right to our camping spot. She checked in later and made sure everything was going okay. Lovely property. Very clean. We enjoyed our hikes right on the property. Beatiful sunrises and sunsets. Shower house is super clean as well as the entire property. We will definitely be back!

Great camping!
Wonderful stay! Peaceful, quiet and great views! Loved my stay here. Walked the trail into the national forest in the morning. The hosts were super nice and loved feeling safe but away from everyone at the same time!
