Small camp site surrounded by a sea of sagebrush, where heaven meets earth. Set alongside a private walking path that leads to the top of the Rio Grande National Monument and the rim of the iconic Taos canyon. Enjoy expansive earthly and celestial views and epic sunsets and moonrises over the Sangre de Cristo mountain range. I am just getting set up with hipcamp and don’t have much to offer beyond a beautiful camping spot on private property, on the very best of the Taos Mesa. I am currently very busy finishing the construction of my home, and work out here almost daily. I sometimes have visitors and work exchange staying on the property, but you will have a private and separate area to park and camp. If you are interested in earthen building construction or off-grid-life, I am happy to talk with you about it if time allows. I request that guests conduct themselves in keeping with the peaceful stillness and quiet of this landscape. Please no loud music. The first thing you will notice as you're pulling up to the site is the abundant smell of sage bushes everywhere. It was so pleasant spending the evening in a beautiful piece of land with the stars filling up the sky late into the night. Highly recommend this spot. Easy to get to and just as described.

Peaceful stay in a sea of sagebrush
This is an incredibly beautiful and peaceful campsite in Taos. We went to bed under a starry sky, the air scented with sagebrush. The next morning, we had a lovely stroll from the campsite to the Taos Gorge with views up to the mountains. It was a short but magical stay!

Beautiful views
Alia's spot is just as advertised which is refreshing at times on Hipcamp. No amenities other than open space and a fire pit. A great place to be for a sunset. Also a short walk to the end of the canyon which is a beautiful spot.

Mystic mound
No words can properly describe how SPECIAL this property is. We booked with just seeing her photos of the mountains…and boy oh boy was it that and much more. It’s a place I will never forget and hopefully be able to come back to. A piece of heaven on earth. Alia was so kind and thoughtful. Will be talking about it for many years to come.
